72. The Changing Saoda

"Why are you guys quiet?"

The question was successfully thrown making Dodi and Tuo turned to look at Saoda who was now looking up at him.

"Let's eat!"

"Yes, yeah. A-a-I will eat," Puang Dodi replied stammering.

"Come on!"

Tuo nodded then quickly stepped up and sat down in front of the table. Saoda smiled then immediately put the rice onto the plate that was in front of Puang Dodi and Tuo alternately.

Puang Dodi and Tuo were now just looking at each other with questionable gazes as if they were asking for a drastic change in Saoda.

"Let's eat!" invite Saoda to make Puang Dodi and Tuo immediately turn their heads.

"Well, yeah, kid. I will eat" said Puang Dodi who now directly wash his hands in a container of water that has been provided on the table.

"Tuo, let's eat!" her door while elbowing Tuo's stomach immediately nodded.

"Yes, I'm eating" she replied quickly.

Saoda smiled at the two men who now looked so greedy. Saoda was silent, he seemed to feel that he was a mother who had two sons. This is somewhat exaggerating but honestly this is what Saoda felt.

Saoda frankly. He tries to be fine in front of Dodi and Tuo's piles who are still busy eating even though they occasionally steal a glance at Saoda.

"I don't know how to cook, but I often see my Indok cooking in the kitchen when he cooks for you and me."

"I'm sorry if the food wasn't good."

"Ah, no, son! It's been really good. Yeah, right Tuo?"

"Em-i-iya. This-this is very tasty," Tuo replied with his mouth cavity already filled with food.

Saoda smiled. He liked the answer that Puang Dodi and Tuo gave. What Saoda felt was a sentence they said as if it had become a sentence of praise for him.

...****************...

Saoda picked up one by one the clothes that had been felt dry as he touched. He looked up at Dodi's puang and Tuo stepped down down the stepladder.

"Where do you want to go?" tanya Saoda made Dodi and Tuo's pours stop his steps.

Puang Dodi and Tuo now looked at each other. The two now looked at each other and not intermittently they looked back at Saoda.

"I want to go to the field, son to take the buffalo," replied Puang Dodi.

"Can I come?"

Hearing that made Dodi and Tuo pang now look at each other.

"Can't you?" ask Saoda.

Puang Dodi immediately turned his head and he smiled.

"Can, Son! Come along!" abugn.

Hearing that right made Saoda immediately smile happily.

"Wait me! I want to keep these clothes on top."

Not waiting for a long time Saoda immediately ran up the steps and put the clothes he had washed earlier on the chair and stepped back down the steps.

"Let's go!" invite him while staring at the two people who are now silent.

During the journey Saoda is seen running small through some tall grass making small insects flying as Saoda passes.

Saoda twisted while stretching out her hands feeling the cool air gently caressing her fingers.

Tuo scratched his itchy head as he stared confusedly at Saoda who looked so happy with the smile of her beautifully engraved lips.

"Is he sick?" asked Tuo who was so confused.

Puang Dodi who heard that immediately smiled.

"He's not sick, son. He's just trying to strengthen himself."

Saoda stopped his steps when from a distance he could see a horde of buffalo grazing. Saoda turned his head to look at Puang Dodi and Tuo who were still looking at each other.

"What are your buffalo?" saoda asked while pointing.

"Well, there's a lot of buffalo here."

"Not much, son. There's only about twenty."

"Twenty? That's a lot. Even my Father when he lived had no buffalo even if only one."

The sound of bells rang out making Saida's forehead shrivel in confusion. That voice, where that voice came from. Saoda turned to look at Tuo who was now stroking the little buffalo boy.

The little golden bell made Saoda know if the owner of the sound had come from the bell that was on the buffalo child.

"My shoulder," Tuo said with a smile.

He gently stroked his little buffalo head back.

"Did you go to that river over there, huh?" tuo asked as he pointed towards the river making Saoda who had been standing still since then while watching Tuo was turning his head towards where Tuo was pointing.

"You don't play with water, yeah!"

"Is that your buffalo?" saoda asked making Tuo look over.

This time Saoda asked him to speak. Tuo simply nodded as he again stroked his shoulder head. Seeing that nod made Saoda run up to Tuo. He also wanted to stroke the head of the little buffalo, but unfortunately the little buffalo instead ran away making Saoda a little disappointed.

"Why did he run?"

"Because you ran to him too. The buffalo boy must have been surprised, so he ran away."

Saoda let out a long breath.

"But I just want to stroke his head. Can't it?"

"Em, it's fine but you don't like running too much because that buffalo boy will run too."

Saoda who heard it could only nod and not for a long time his disappointed face again smiled.

"What's his name?"

Tuo gawking.

"Who?"

"The buffalo's boy. Does he have a name?"

"No. He's not a man who has a name."

"My cat also has a name even though he's not human, so what's the name of that little buffalo?"

Tuo was silent and for a long time he shook his head. He never gave a name to a buffalo in his lifetime.

Puang Dodi who had been sitting on the grass and leaning on the big tree while watching Saoda and Tuo could only smile and laugh a little. Is this like a girl? Who noticed the little things. He thinks his son is weird because he always talks to buffalo, but this kid is weird.

"Pour Dodi!"

"Yes?"

"Is that big buffalo yours?" Point Saoda towards the buffalo not far from Puang Dodi.

Puang Dodi.

"This?" tanya puang Dodi who was also pointing.

"Yes. What's name?"

"Em, this is Petrox," he replied curiously making Tuo who originally revealed it laugh instead.

It's so strange that name.

"Pertox?"

"Yes, great, right?"

"good. What about this one?" ask again while pointing towards the buffalo who was lying down

Puang Dodi gawking. He didn't have many names to answer.

"That's called Partox."
