32. Inquiries.

"You know that Raina and Erni are friends who have been together for a long time."

"And so Raina came to my house to ask for help because of Erni who was sick."

Puang Edi frowned in wonder. He glanced at Erni who looked pale with her lips so dry. To be honest the face was pale from Erni's fear that had haunted her since.

"Is that true?" asked Puang Edi with a look of disbelief on his face. It wasn't that easy for him to be able to trust Puang Tuo.

"Do I need to tell these two kids to talk?" ask Puang Tuo.

Puang Tuo smiled for a moment then he turned to look at Raina and Erni alternately then he smiled back and looked back at Puang Edi who now looked silent with a face that looked flat.

Not long ago Puang Edi smiled and not long after he returned to talk.

"How can I believe what you're saying, Puang?"

"I can't believe someone's words that easily, especially if they don't have much evidence."

"What else do I need to explain and what else do you need to hear?" puang Tuo asked with a flat face and his voice that sounded very calm as if there was no calmness here.

"Puang Tuo's. I'm sorry but I'm still confused."

"What confusion is that?"

"May I ask?" asked Puang Edi with his face that looked still suspicious.

"Yes, of course. I'm not banning you and honestly no one is forbidding you to talk here."

Puang Edi smiled then nodded. He turned to look at all the citizens who now seemed to still look very serious about this situation.

Puang Edi sighed then he turned his head to look at Puang Tuo who was still standing his back to Raina and Erni.

"alright. How can you know Erni and Raina while I know very well if you have never spoken and been close before" explained Pang Edi.

Puang Tuo was now speechless, no answer coming out of his lips made Puang Edi smile proudly, it seemed like Puang Tuo was unable to answer his question.

"I-i"

"We are indeed not so close," Raina's cut made Pang Edi and Erni turn to look at Raina while Puang Tuo's face looked flat without expression.

Both of Erni's eyes were rounded upon hearing Raina's reply.

"What are you saying, Raina?" whispered Erni with her tone made depressed while Puang Edi was now frowning in wonder making all the citizens whisper to each other gather some opinions.

Raina took one step forward.

Puang Edi's forehead frowned in confusion, he did not understand what Raina said that looked so very nervous. If you can be honest, since then Raina's heartbeat has been beating very fast since then because of fear. Talking in front of a crowd makes him unable to think clearly.

"Meet?"

Raina swallows her saliva. Did he speak wrong. Raina was speechless trying to digest her own words.

"How can Puan Tuo and Erni meet each other?" What relationship is that?"

"All I know is that they don't know each other, so how did they meet and what made it possible for you to be in this house?"

"What did you say?" erni asked in a noisy tone looking at Raina.

"Why do I feel if this is not true" said Puang Edi.

"We met inside the mosque because Erni wanted to learn to teach, isn't that Erni?" asked Pang Tuo who turned his head to look at Erni.

Both of Erni's eyes were rounded when all the gazes of the citizens at once puang Edi was fixed on him.

Both of Erni's eyes rounded and swallowed her saliva hard and she began to answer "Yes, I learned to teach," answered Erni.

"Both of my parents were long gone and because of the death of Indo and my grandmother so that no one could teach me to teach."

"I know you all know what my fate is now and I understand what you know about me."

"I honestly feel calm if I teach so it makes me dare to ask Puang Tuo to teach me."

"I don't have a family anymore but I have a friend who is always there to accompany me and that's what makes me ask Raina to stay at home, like that Raina?"

Raina nodded quickly.

"No one accompanied Erni to sleep in her house so I decided to accompany Erni at home but because Erni was so sick that I invited Puang Tuo to treat Erni."

"I am sure that after Puang Tuo recites the holy verse of Erni's pain will be reduced"

"But wait a minute!" cut Puang Edi make both Raina and Erni's eyes compactly rounded.

"It looks like something is odd here" said Puang Edi.
