Dwarf
53. Nativity

The sound of birds chirping sounded as if welcoming the arrival of the rising sun that rises slowly.

The sounds of alternating steps produced a sound that managed to make Saoda wake up from his sleep. Saoda opened his eyes to find the bed that now looks empty, no longer father and Indonya.

Saoda got up from the bed and sat down. He rubbed his eyelids and stepped down from the bed.

His gaze was now focused on Indonya who was now storing rice into a white sack that had been litre with a litre tool made of iron.

Saoda was silent for a moment. His senses looked very busy while his lips were moving as if he was counting the many liters of rice he put in the sack.

"What is the indo doing?"

Sambe.

"Indo is meliter rice."

"Indo want to sell it?"

Sambe laughed a little. He pulled the sack and tied it with a rope.

"No, Son."

"What is rice for?"

"Indo wants to bring this rice to the house of a neighbor who wants to hold a sykuran. This is one of our happy expressions for the birth of their child."

"Who gave birth?"

"His wife is Pung Sae."

Saoda was silent for a moment. It seems that the name is no stranger to his auditory senses.

"Pung Sae is not Indo from Bakri?"

"Yes, son."

Saoda nodded.

"Can I come?"

"Can."

Hearing that made Saoda smile happily while jumping up and down. No one can describe his happiness if he comes with Indonya. It is clear that there are many friends and also food.

...****************...

Saoda ran after releasing his hand grip from Sambe's hand making him now join playing together with children his age.

"Be careful, yes, son!" shout Sambe.

"Yes, Indo!!!" yelled Saoda who now turned away for a moment and returned to play together with his friends.

"Bakri, do you have a little sister?" asked Saoda on the sidelines he played.

The 7-year-old boy was a bit fat with skin color that looked brown and mature it turned his head. His name was Bakri, the old man who had been killed by Saoda.

"Yes. My brother's. He was born last night."

"Gee. When was your sister born?"

"My sister was born overnight. You know what not? My father said yesterday there was a Parakang."

"What's? A retrenchment?"

"Parakang?"

The questionable voice was heard that managed to escape from the children who immediately stopped playing.

"Yes. He wanted to eat my sister, but my father had a read-out, so Parakang could not get into the house," he explained.

Hearing that made Saoda speechless. The word Parakang makes him now remember the sentence delivered by Indonya last night.

"Is Parakang there?" saoda asked, making Bakri and his friends turn their heads.

"Didn't you believe it?" ask Bakri.

Saoda nodded.

"I'm the one who said last night that Parakang doesn't exist."

The other children immediately nodded while in the same place Saoda appeared silent. What is true Bakri said if parents lie and if it means if Indonya also lies so that she does not become a timid child.

Saoda let out a long breath. He threw away those thoughts and chose to return to play.

The sound of bells rang out making Saoda stop the play. He turned to look at the man named Tuo who now looks to be pulling a rope that binds the buffalo fat and big.

There may be about seven buffaloes of different sizes and two dogs that are seen running behind it as if helping to herd buffalo.

Saoda was confused by him. Of all the children who live and live in this village, only the boy who has never come to play and join together with the children his age.

Saoda had met him three times. Yabg first Tuo was seen busy helping his Father in the rice field, the second he looks busy looking for a conch in the rice field and now he looks busy herding buffalo.

That boy named Tuo was indeed very different. It seemed like the world playing on him was over.

Saoda did not want to think long to make him continue playing with his friends.

...****************...

Sambe stepped up the steps to the stairs greeted with a smile by the neighbors who were already in the house. There have been many people in this house and a decoration of young coconut leaves attached to the door indicates there is an activity or celebration held in the house.

Just now Sambe had arrived on top of a middle-aged woman who seemed to be grabbing rice from the sack that Sambe had placed on his head.

"Please sit!" his orders allowed Sambe to now nod.

He sat down and joined the mothers who came from different villages. Well, the relatives of the neighbors who have given birth are quite a lot so do not be surprised if there are many people in the house even outside the house.

Sambe stopped his conversation when the neighbor who had given birth, call it Ria, immediately sat next to him holding a small baby who was still red.

"Well, is this your son?" tanya Sambey who looks smiling so happy.

Ria nodded. Staring at the baby for a moment then looking back at Sambe.

Sambe who heard that immediately brought the distance closer. He touched the little baby's cheek while smiling.

"Well, she looks a lot like you."

"really?"

"Yes. Was there any difficulty in giving birth?"

Ria shook her head, "None. Thank goodness."

"Good then."

"If you how? Saoda, it's grown up maybe she can have a sister too."

Sambe laughed a little.

"If God gives it, O God, but it seems that for now God only gives Saoda."

Ria nodded then not long after he looked back at Sambe.

"Do you want to carry her?" tawar Ria's.

"Me?"

Ria nodded.

"Well, she won't cry. I saw he was asleep so let him sleep" she explained in a very soft tone of voice.

"Sambe, just carry it! How do you know after this you become pregnant quickly," said someone who immediately patted Sambe's shoulder.

"Yes, that's right. Just gending! Ria's son is a boy, how do you know after this you get a boy," said the other one makes Sambe now only able to smile.

"Ria, give me the baby!" pinta a woman makes Ria immediately put the baby in Sambe's lap.

Sambe smiled as he could pet a tiny baby covered in batik gloves.

"Look! He seems comfortable with you."

Saoda smiled after hearing that. He looked at the baby's face affectionately. He touched her cheek and gently pulled her slowly.

Not long after, Saoda realized from her daydream and then returned to stick the baby into Ria's embrace.

"Is she crying?"
