93. Calm Yourself

"Yetoo!!!" shouting Saoda.

Saoda got up from his bed with both eyes that looked to have swelled up from the crying.

Saoda turned his head in all directions staring at the area of the room that was so very quiet. Saoda let out a long breath. He was grateful that no one heard his screams.

Saoda rubbed his sweaty head. His heart rate also increased after passing the dream.

Saoda got up from his bed and stepped out of the room to find Tuo who was now sitting in the kitchen chair.

Saoda smiled faintly at Tuo's sincere smile.

"You awake?" ask Tuo.

Saoda took a breath and nodded slowly.

"Em, you want a drink?"

Saoda shook his head again without removing his smile.

"I want to go out for a minute."

Hearing that made Tuo a little surprised. His lips opened about to speak however, halting as Saoda cut them off.

"I just want to go to the house and to the tomb of Indo and my Father" he cut.

Tuo was silent. He was still hesitant and afraid to let Saoda go.

"Just for a second. I miss them so much."

"Do you want me to be with you?"

"No need."

Tuo let out a long sigh and nodded making Saoda now step away.

"Be careful!" said Tuo who was now standing at the door made Saoda who stepped down the tiller of the stairs look up.

"I'm waiting for you at home."

Saoda smiled then nodded and resumed his steps.

...****************...

Saoda's hair moved as it was blown by the gust of wind as he was sitting on the edge of the river.

The sound of the river flow sounded so melodious and felt win the soul after hearing it. The clear river flow as if carrying slowly some brownish dried leaves floating on the water is like a boat being carried by the current.

Saoda's eyes now turned to the rocks where he often played water there and his childhood memories made him smile.

The little saoda was seen kneeling down and picking up the dried leaves one by one and putting them back on the water unobstructed by doing so that the dried leaves could sail without any hindrance from anything that's.

The little girl looked very happy.

"Care, leaf!!! Careful, yes!!!" he cried as if he would never see the leaf again.

"Soda!!!"

The sound of screaming was heard making the adult Saoda turn his head. The voice of the very little Saoda woman was familiar and very meaningful in her life. The girl he loved and loved. Who else if not his mother, Indo Sunge.

"Yes, Indo," he said. Greeting with a smile the woman then stepped slowly closer to her.

"Where's Father?" ask Saoda.

"Your father went looking for fish" he replied.

"When will he come back, Indo?"

"Not long. He's gone from there."

"Soda!"

The sound of screaming was heard again calling his name making Saoda turn to look at Jambe.

Saoda smiled. From here he could see the shadow of both his parents as well as himself.

"Mr!!!" shouting Saoda.

The little saoda was seen running and hugging his Father's body which was greeted by the back of his Father who ended up sitting on it. He laughed as the little boy grew up. Looking at the surface of the river with a wide and see the figure of Indonya that looks small.

The saoda grabs the small roots of the tree that are used to lift fish that are as big as the palms of an adult. He stuck it high into the air as if this was his catch.

"Indo, look!"

Sambe turned his head, he looked up at the only child who was now smiling with his teeth that had been dated in front to give the impression of a window in the row of neat teeth.

"Don't be like that, you'll fall, son!" reproofing.

He smiled for a moment and then refocused on clothes that were not too much. Some of the cloth has already entered into a basket made by knitting coconut leaves. This is one knit from the hand of her husband, Jambe.

"Mr, let's run!!!" the impatient whine Saoda.

"Run?"

"Yes, run the tight one!"

Sambe smiling. He shook his head to see and hear Saoda's will.

"Later you fall, boy!" reproofing.

Her voice was beautiful like a melodious flute, this was a sweet rebuke from a mother who did not want her child to be hurt.

"Well, are you ready to fly?" ask Jambe."

"Ready!!!" his yell.

"Then hold on tight!"

"Yes!!!" his cheers then he immediately hugged his Father's forehead tightly.

He laughed, but he was laughing. The sensation of being above height or on the shoulder of his Father already resembles a vehicle for him. No need to be tired of spending money to feel happiness. With his back, he can laugh.

"Have you?"

"Have it!!!" his screams further tightened his grip.

"One."

"Two."

"Three," the last count that was heard followed by a half-run step made Saoda grab softly Jambe's hair accompanied by the sound of laughter that managed to escape the little girl's lips.

"Be careful!" reprimand Sambe who is now squeezing the laundry cloth while occasionally he turned towards Saoda and also her husband.

He smiled with happiness at the beautiful sight. A small family full of happiness even though it is not rich. There was no throne they could be proud of, but they had a happy family.

Saoda who is now on the edge of the river also laughed at the beautiful thing. Until his crying broke. Saoda realized that it was just a memory he would never get again.

Saoda is now aware and believes that if what people say is treasure is everything for happiness then it is wrong because Saoda has proven that treasure is not always a promise of happiness.

Saoda laughed again as Jambe held onto Saoda's hands and stretched out his hands on both sides and ran back.

Saoda could feel the fresh air without any air pollution as if it was going into his lungs.

"Let's go home!"

Saoda ran after being taken down by his Father. Grabbing and holding the finger of his hand while his right hand holds the finger of his Father tightly.

"Would we go home now?"

"Yes, Son. Do you still want to play water?" sambe asked making Saoda now nod.

"It's dark today and we'd better go home."

One elucidation from that soft hand managed to land on Saoda's shoulder-length hair making the little girl smile.

"But stubborn," said Saoda who commented on himself.

...****************...

Saoda now stepped across the small, deep river. There are some airy stones that become a bridge to get to the other side.

"A lot of fish today, poang Jambe?"

Saoda turned his head to look towards the rice field where the first time Saoda saw the figure of Dodi puang.

"Yes, pour," said Jambe.

The man nodded, looking at Saoda for a moment.

"It's your big boy, pour."

Jambe looked down at Saoda who looked up at him.

"Yes, Alhamdulillah."

"New one, take your son?"

"Yes, maybe God only gives one. This is also enough that is important to be happy," he explained.

The man nodded.

"Mr!!!"

The sound of the boy's screams could make those who were busy talking turned to look at the boy who was only wearing muddy brown pants was running through the muddy ground.

"Your son, ditch Dodi?"

Puang Dodi smiled for a moment. He who was sitting on the edge of the rice field is now looking up to look at the Jambe puang.

"Well, he's my son" he replied.

"Why is he running?"

Puang Dodi got up from the edge of the rice field, supporting his waist while looking at his son who was now running around with a half-crying face.

Saoda scrunched his forehead. It was strange that man. How can there be a boy who cries, like a girl.

Saoda now shook his head after recalling the incident. He sat on the edge of the rice field and remembered the story of the past.

The boy cried over to Dodi's poang while jumping up and down.

"You why?"

"There's linta, sir," he showed his right leg with both eyes he closed.

The man sighed.

"You're looking for an eel or looking for a linta."

"I'm looking for an eel, but the linta is coming too, Father," he replied, crying as he pleased.

Jambe and Sambe laughed. It was funny how the answer of this boy was coupled with his facial expression that was so very funny.

"Just she bit you and asked you to cry? Why are you so whiny?" saoda asked, which made his parents surprised.

"Soda, don't talk like that!" reprimand Sambe while gently stroking Saoda's shoulder.

Saoda now supports her chin with a smile Saoda realized that she used to be a jolly and talkative girl.

Puang Dodi who heard that immediately laughed while the boy immediately opened his eyes. Crying ceased. He looked at the girl with shoulder-length hair looking at him.

"You're right, son. This poang kid is very crybaby and likes to cry, right, son?" asked Puang Dodi while patting his son's shoulder.

"No, I'm not a whiny."

"But you're crying" Saoda said.

"I'm a boy so a boy won't cry and you're a girl. It's the girl who loves to cry."

"Why are you crying?" Show Saoda.

"I'm not crying."

"But your cheeks are wet."

Hearing that made the boy immediately feel his cheeks.

"It's mud water."

"Oh, I just found out that the eyes can let out mud water. Just admit that you've been crying."

The boy snorted in annoyance. The little girl talked too much.

"What if I cry? You'd cry like me too if you were bitten by the ink and maybe you'd cry in the loudest voice."

The boy laughed making Saoda frown with a face that seemed to be bent.

"I'm not afraid" answered Saoda and immediately stepped forward and knelt before the boy who had underestimated him.

He pulled very hard linta that stuck to the surface of the skin made the boy scream.

Saoda got up and stepped back.

"See you're crying again!"

The boy stopped his crying. He was surprised to stare at the black ink writhing amusedly on Saoda's fingers.

"See your legs!"

Point Saoda made the man immediately duck down and stare strongestly at the blood flowing from his calf. Look now his calf has been bleeding.

"You're making my legs bleed."

"I'm just helping you, you crybaby."

"I'm not a whiny," he asked.

Sambe, Jambe and Dodi laughed after seeing and hearing their son's debate.

Saoda groped slowly. It seemed unexpected that the beginning of the meeting was like that.

Saoda got up from the edge of the rice field and stepped away towards his house. Not far from this rice field, however, Saoda tried to slow his pace.

Saoda wanted to enjoy the cool air to win his mind.

Saoda stopped his steps when he was in the yard. In the courtyard of the house there are still stones thrown by villagers.

The yard of the house that was always clean was now dirty and overgrown with green grass. Saoda knelt down and touched the surface of the grass. In this place both his parents were burned alive.

Saoda was silent for a moment and then he rose from the grass and looked up to look at the house that was getting more and more unkempt.

Saoda stepped her feet up the house whose staircase had been surrounded by vines.

Saoda pushed the surface of the door and his eyes now turned in all directions staring at the whole house which is now dirty and dusty even there is a lot of animal waste.

It seems like this house has become a nest for the birds.

Saoda looked at the living room. Saoda still remembers that they used to eat together and that it was his last dinner together with his parents.

The sound of a scrape spoon clanking was heard while the dinner was going on. A plate of sauteed conch, fried eel into a side dish tonight.

"Eat a lot, son!" said Sambe who now put a spoonful of sauteed conch on a plate owned by Tuo who now looks smiling.

"Thank you."

Sambe nodded and resumed his meal. Saoda who had been chewing the rice in his mouth now slowly helped develop a smile on his lips.

It turns out that Saoda just realized that eating together like this is so very fun and makes the atmosphere more beautiful. It feels like something is different.

The sound of laughter was heard to make the atmosphere now become very warm while Jambe occasionally threw a joke to the Dodi puang who was now laughing.

Saoda smiled as his gaze centered on looking at Tuo who was now seen smiling as he occasionally stared at Dodi's puang.

From this Saoda could see if the little boy named Tuo was not too bad and he also looked happy.

Sometimes judging a person can not be seen from his physical form alone, but from how he behaves. Because one's behavior is influenced by one's own heart.

Happy, yes that's what Saoda feels today and it's true that if happiness is not expensive it's just people who make it difficult to get it

Saoda now moved to the kitchen where he always saw his senses cooking.
