15. Resignation

"This is my resignation letter, madam."

This morning, Jane was shocked to find Brianna putting a letter on her desk. However, women who are accustomed to facing everything calmly can immediately master the situation. He looked at Brianna with a casual look as if nothing had happened.

"Can you tell me your reason for resigning suddenly is like this, Bri?"

Brianna lowered her head, she twisted the edge of the blazer she was wearing.

"I don't know what your problem is, Brianna. But you know, if we're still in London right now, we're on a business trip so can we talk about this again after we get back to New York?"

Brianna knows his attitude and decision must have disappointed Jane, but what can he do? Arthur's act last night to her can't be considered a joke. The longer Brianna is near Jane, then during that time he will continue to be in touch with the breng sek man.

"So far what did Arthur do to you?" tanyakanya.

"I hope you can be professional by staying with me, Brianna. Besides, you must know very well that your work bond will still end the next year."

Brianna snorted softly. Does this mean that the resignation he submitted was rejected?

"Give me a grace period, I'll pay the penalty fee."

"So, are you serious about quitting your job?" Jane shook her head faintly. "Well, as Arthur's mother, representing him to apologize to you, can't you just take this as a mistake and continue to work as usual?" the door with a pleading face.

"But Mr. Mattews may indeed want me to quit this job, madam."

"Alright, I won't force you again if you feel hard to continue working with me." Jane's face was disappointed. "But finish your work in London so that tomorrow we can return to New York with a job completed" he said.

"Alright," replied Brianna nervously. That means he will no longer be tied to work when they return to headquarters later. But, at the same time he must also be ready to pay the penalty fee.

Brianna explained and described the final project that must be completed by both parties of the company. Both the Gerard Smith company and the Arthur Mattews company work together. He told each part of the work quite clearly, so that the projects were immediately run by the second party.

Gerard looked in admiration at Brianna. Besides being beautiful, the woman was also intelligent, as she had expected. Brianna is seen mastering the job desk that is being explained. He also seemed to have a broad insight of his gestures and quiet talk.

The meeting was completed with the state of Arthur who agreed to all the concepts made from the company Gerard. Actually he did not want to make everything easy, but because he could not deny anything that he did not know. Moreover, the explanation in the meeting room earlier was not completely absorbed by his brain. That's what causes him to just say okay, yes and agree.

They all came out of the meeting room with Arthur in the back row.

"Mrs. Mattews?"

Arthur looks over and finds Amanda greeting him.

"Well?"

"Are you busy tonight?" ask Amanda with a teasing smile like the days before.

"Not really." Arthur seemed to be able to read where this conversation was headed.

"Do you have time to go with me?" hail Amanda shamelessly. Arthur can predict from the beginning if Amanda is one type of aggressive woman.

"Abviously," replied Arthur as he glanced at Brianna who was also having a conversation with Gerard and Jane there, probably still discussing work, I don't know.

Amanda looked straight away as soon as she heard Arthur's answer.

"Well, I'll come to the resort to see you later" Amanda said.

Arthur chuckled at a glance. "Is it not better if I pick you up?"

"You don't mind?" Amanda developed a smile that had previously seemed wide.

"No problem," replied Arthur slacking his shoulder.

"Well, I'll send my apartment address to your number" Amanda said.

"Do you have my cell phone number?" Arthur didn't expect this.

Amanda nibbled her lips while glancing at Arthur. "I'm sorry, I took it from your personal data in the office file" he admitted.

Arthur nodded, then chose to withdraw from Amanda's presence. He just passed Jane, Gerard and Brianna.

Arthur drives his car, he himself is not really interested in Amanda's invitation. If Brianna had not been there, she might have rejected the woman's offer. Arthur only wants to see Brianna's reaction when he agrees to Amanda's invitation. Unfortunately, Brianna seems flat, even though she had been fishing for Brianna to turn to him to just show her dislike about Amanda who invited her to go together.

Arthur clasped the wheel tightly. Feeling angry is like eating away at him. Why didn't Brianna show any reaction? Not like she's crazy because she went away with Gerard last night?

Arthur's cell phone vibration made him aware of the situation. The car he was driving slowly slowed down to receive the call.

"Arthur, where are you going? Mommy wants to talk to you."

"Speak what, Mom? Just talk now."

"No, meet Mom at the Resort now." Jane wants to ask Arthur about the abuse he did against Brianna, he did delay to question his son until the meeting with Gerard Smith was completely completed today.

"But I just left the Resort, Mom."

"Then, come back!" jane resolutely.

"What's the matter, Mom?" Arthur thinks this must be a serious matter.

"Quick back. Mom wants to talk about what you did to Brianna last night!" Jane's voice sounded loud.

And Arthur was silent for a while, until finally inevitably he turned the direction to return to the Resort.
