70. Preparation

Brianna strafed Zach with a lot of questions. Including why the sister finally blessed her marriage with Arthur. And Zach's answer is beyond his prediction.

"I just don't want to hinder the good intentions of others."

"You're right. He's the best" Brianna admitted, recalling Arthur's warm attitude toward their son.

"I'm just saying he deserves to be Chico's father, not that he's the best, because the best is me" Zach jumawa said. And Brianna nodded at him.

Brianna and Arthur's wedding party is soon taken care of by Jane once the blessing of Zach has been obtained.

"I'm thinking about my responsibilities here" Brianna replied honestly.

"What responsibility? Your only responsibility here is Chico. And when you marry me, you'll be my responsibility."

"My work--"

Not yet Brianna continued his sentence, it was interrupted by the sound of Arthur's obstinacy.

"Why are you laughing?" brianna responded to the man's response.

"It's nothing, I'm just wondering when you're still thinking about your job. Should I ask Mommy to fire you so you don't think about work anymore?"

Brianna scrunched her forehead.

"Dear, listen ..." Arthur stroked Brianna's face gently. "Your next job is no longer in New York, it's in Canada. And it's under my auspices," he continued.

"I mean I'll be working as your personal assistant again?" ask Brianna.

"No."

"Then?"

"Just be my wife and be a mother to our children."

Brianna's eyes looked teary. "You mean I can't work anymore? That so?"

"yeah. It's all my responsibility as your husband."

"You've been the backbone for too long to support Chico, now let me take over that role."

Brianna replied to Arthur by stroking the man's sturdy jaw. "Thank you, Arthur," he said gratefully.

"Hmm, I love you." Arthur kissed Brianna's lips at a glance, which made Brianna bow her head with a shy smile.

"You embarrassed?" Arthur laughed softly. He ruffled Brianna's hair short.

"You don't have to do it here, because there are a lot of people here" Brianna replied with her head bowed.

Arthur looked around, where a lot of people were passing by to prepare their wedding decorations in a hotel ballroom.

"Haha, so where do you want to do it? Where are we two in?"

Brianna chuckled, who immediately responded to Arthur's speech.

"Basic bawdy!" the accusation.

Arthur sniffed his shoulders, feeling Brianna's speech was not an accusation, but reality. He was not ashamed of it, for he was perverted in its place. Brianna is his wife. So where's the problem? that's not wrong at all.

"Do you want to book a room at this hotel right now? For today?" bargain Arthur with a meaningful glint of an eye.

Brianna pats Arthur's shoulder in annoyance. "Patience, we can do it after all this procession is complete" he explained.

"No need. We've been married for a month now so it doesn't matter."

"Ck!" Brianna clucked her tongue. "You're really impatient" he said.

"Yes, that's me. Do you want to?" Arthur offered again. Make Brianna shake her head.

"Come on! Mumpung Chico is out with Mommy."

Brianna pinched Arthur's hand. "Don't expect. We can only do it after all our marriage affairs are done" he said until the final decision.

Arthur breathed a rough breath. He knows Brianna's decision is absolute and that means he has to be more patient to resist the impulse that has been a few weeks not channeled.

"It seems I have to fast" Arthur joked, which made Brianna again chuckle loudly.

"Yes, you have to learn to fast," Brianna responded that made Arthur snort, but saw Brianna laughing, it made her heart happy.

Arthur feels his life is complete now. Though he had never thought about marriage, it was unexpected that all the directions of his life had to change when he was reunited with the girl he had destroyed.
