2. Still the same

"What do you think, Bri?" jane asked Brianna who had been silent since. Actually Brianna did not listen at all to the business talks discussed by Jane, Fabio and Arthur. Brianna has been feeling empty ever since she met Arthur here after four years since their last meeting at the same University.

"Nh ..." Brianna nodded her head, looking keki. "Okay, everything's okay," he said later. He tried to cover up his nervousness.

Thankfully Jane smiled with the answer Brianna gave. "Then we agree with this project, Fabio" he said, reaching out to Fabio and greeted the man.

After the meeting was over and Fabio was gone, Brianna immediately expressed her wish to Jane that she wanted to go home first. Although it looks disrespectful, but Brianna must do it because she is not comfortable with the presence of Arthur between her and Jane.

Jane is an understanding boss. He allows Brianna to go home, after all he still has to talk to his son, Arthur, who has just returned from Canada.

"Be careful on the road, Bri. See you tomorrow," said Jane with a gentle smile.

Brianna nodded, ignoring Arthur there, and he immediately galloped away.

"I go to the toilet first, Mom," said Arthur suddenly. Jane stared in wonder at the son who seemed to be moving in a hurry.

In fact, Arthur did not go to the toilet as the reason for Jane, the man actually chased Brianna who had come out of the restaurant area.

Brianna who was still standing near the sidewalk to wait for his taxi, inevitably had to hear the curse of Arthur who came to him.

"It was a surprise to meet you in this town."

Without turning to look at the owner of the voice, Brianna immediately found out if it was Arthur. He rolled his eyes.

"You look different" said Arthur again, but Brianna still did not touch the man. He acted as if there was no one there.

Brianna did not turn her head at all, until the taxi she was waiting for arrived, she moved closer to the transport, but her movement stopped when Arthur blocked her wrist.

"Take me off!" Brianna brushed off Arthur's hand, as if she was unwilling to be touched by the man.

Arthur instead chuckled, he raised both hands with a look of surrender that looked very annoying in Brianna's eyes.

"Never bother me!" brianna then.

Arthur grinned, he let Brianna into his cab, he also pretended to help close the taxi door for the woman.

"Have a nice day, Brianna Walton," said Arthur with a look that seemed to make fun of Brianna who was sitting in her cab.

Brianna snorted, then asked the driver to immediately drive the four-wheeled vehicle as soon as possible.

"I'm no longer the girl you used to be able to step on. I've become an independent woman and able to fight you. Whatever happens, I'll still hate you, Arthur! Forever!" inner Brianna who felt very irritated with his fate, where he had to be reunited with the bereng sek Arthur Mattews.

While there, Arthur is still looking at Brianna's departure. He knew clearly that Brianna's departure was for the sake of avoiding him.

"Although your appearance has changed, but you're still the old Brianna. I can't wait to get back to messing with your life 'cause you're a game that's always fun." Arthur let out a distinctive slanted smile, then turned back towards the restaurant to meet the mother who was still there.

Arthur passed through the office lobby with his movements that were able to make many eyes look amazed. The handsome man shifted the gaze of the workers - from the one who should be facing the job - precisely so looked towards him.

Not only are women amazed at their good looks, but men are also hypnotized by their charisma.

This is the first time Arthur visited the company managed by his mother, because all this time he was more focused on taking care of other businesses in Canada and it is the legacy of his late father.

Because the mother's private life is deliberately closed, not many know if Arthur is Jane's biological son. It then makes the workers there wonder who is the handsome man who today came to their office.

"Excuse me, sir. Can I help you?" A receptionist approached Arthur, welcoming him with the best smile.

"I want to meet Mrs. Jane."

Arthur feels no need to do that to see his own mother but he knows that none of them recognize him as the son of the company's Director.

The receptionist reviews a friendly smile that looks seductive. Hearing Arthur's voice alone had captivated him.

"Alright, I'll call his secretary. Can you fill out the guest book?" he held out a book before Arthur.

Arthur just wait, he filled his personal data in the guest book and sat waiting in the waiting chair there.

"Md. Walton, someone wants to see Mrs. Jane at the moment. Is he pleased?" The receptionist called using a tablephone while stealing a glance at Arthur who was also watching him.

Not without reason Arthur did that, he glanced at the receptionist because the woman mentioned Brianna's last name which Arthur could conclude if the one who was receiving the call across there was Brianna.

Knowing that, Arthur became excited.

"Yes. Name's Mr. Arthur Mattews," said the receptionist again, telling the name of the guest who wanted to see Jane.

Arthur pulled one corner of his lips, can he make sure if there Brianna was surprised to hear his arrival to this company.

"All right, I'll say it." The receptionist hung up, called Arthur.

"You can meet Mrs. Jane's right now, on the 16th floor, sir."

Arthur commented on his ultimate smile, "Thank you," he said.

The speech was indeed short, but it was able to make the female receptionist feel melting because of the allure of an Arthur Mattews.

Arthur soon departs, a security guard accompanying him to arrive on the 16th floor.

Arthur still enjoys the euphoria of a self so admired. It was like adding to his own confidence. Who would refuse his charm, thought Arthur.

However, once Arthur arrived on the 16th floor, his pleasure was suddenly lost. Remnants of his confidence perish at once upon seeing the sharp glare a young woman gave him, Brianna.

If there are women who are not interested in him, maybe Brianna is included in the group.

It's unbelievable. When many women and girls adore him, Brianna is not. That's what always triggers Arthur's anger on Brianna.

"Why are you looking at me like that? Is it worth your eyes on me like that when you know that I'm the son of your boss?" arthur asked Brianna in a pompous tone.

"Sorry, I just can't pretend," replied Brianna flatly. Very flat in fact.

"You mean?" Arthur scrunched his forehead staring at Brianna.

"I can't show a sweet attitude in front of people I hate" he said bluntly.

Justjust wonderful. Brianna's mouth was the same, Arthur thought. Even though the current situation remains Arthur who is in the top position, Brianna is still trying to fight it.

Arthur shook his head faintly, trying to ignore Brianna's words that seemed to deliberately provoke his anger.

"Show my mother's room."

"Here," Brianna said, referring to one direction that turns to the right.

Arthur relaxed his shoulders indifferently, about to walk past Brianna's body, but before doing so he deliberately stopped his steps first.

Arthur turned to Brianna and took a face full of intimidation.

"Your looks may change, but your words show that you're still the same as you used to be. Let's have some fun, Brianna. Because I will still behave the same towards you, too" he said.
