54. To the point

Arthur and Jane return to the treatment room where Chico is.

When they entered, the boy was eating and was fed by Brianna.

Brianna bowed respectfully to Jane, but it was undeniable that the atmosphere there felt awkward just because the status of the woman who used to be her superior, now had to suddenly turn into her in-laws in just a short time.

Actually Brianna also hesitated, in another sense that he never asked for blessing to Jane directly. But how would she ask Arthur's mother for her blessing first, if she had never been given the chance to refuse her marriage. Brianna also did not expect that Arthur would actually marry her as recklessly as had already happened.

"Grandma, have you eaten yet?" chico's great-grandson to Jane. At least, the voice of the boy was able to melt the atmosphere that felt frozen between them all.

"Grandma will eat after coming home from your visit, dear." Jane throws a smile at Chico who enjoys her food.

"Said Momma, I can't eat late. Grandma is also."

"definitely. Grandma will always remember your message, dear."

Chico gave a thumbs up to Jane who was still commenting on her warm smile.

"Already, Mom. I've been so full" Chico refused to Brianna who returned to feed him food.

"A little bit more, let's spend it" Brianna said.

Chico closed his mouth tightly while shaking his head.

"Have it, don't force it. The most important thing is that he has eaten enough" Arthur suddenly said.

Brianna looked at the man there. He felt Arthur's face look different since he returned to the nursery. Brianna had wanted to brush it off, but now she heard Arthur's stiff-necked speech.

Didn't that man look sweet for a few days? Why did he turn cold now? What the hell's going on?

Jane says goodbye to Chico and Brianna after telling the boy a funny story. Brianna intends to take Jane to the front of the room, but Jane rejects her subtly.

"No need to drive me, Chico needs you here more. I really hope that she will recover quickly and one day be able to spend a long time with me."

Brianna thinned her lips as Jane stroked her shoulders slowly.

After Jane is gone, Brianna and Arthur return to look after Chico, as Flo has also returned home after delivering all their needs at the Hospital.

"I want to talk to you, but not here."

Brianna looked at Arthur, she thought she also needed to talk to the man.

"Yes, wait until Chico falls asleep. We're talking outside the room" Brianna replied.

Arthur nodded. He looked at Chico's goal. The boy seemed to give his own energy for him to still maintain the integrity of their family who actually just wanted to be fostered.

"Uncle, can you read me a story too?" chico Pinta.

Arthur nodded. Although he is not good at storytelling let alone storytelling, but he is trying to be a good father for Chico even though the child also does not know that he is the father. At the very least, Arthur must begin to get closer to Chico in order for Chico to have a strong inner bond with him.

Brianna knows someone is looking at her heart seeing the togetherness of Arthur and Chico. He felt that the man was indeed the most appropriate figure to occupy the position as the Father of Chico. Despite the personal problems between them, but Brianna admitted that Arthur carried out his role well by serving every request Chico patiently.

Chico falls asleep 20 minutes later, which is where Arthur codes Brianna to get out of the room. They leave Chico under the supervision of a nurse who can keep the son in the room.

Arthur lets Brianna walk ahead of him. He thought he was going back to the cafeteria to talk about the two of them, in fact Brianna took him to sit in a hospital park.

"What do you want to talk about?" ask Brianna to the point. His little heart said something was not good, but I don't know what.

"Let's be honest with each other, I'd like to hear your confession after our brief time together in Milan."

"You mean?" Brianna didn't understand which way this was going.

"Listen, Brianna. I don't like to make small talk. Instead of me getting tired of searching and investigating your actions, it's good that you just be honest with me, about how you feel about me."

"I really don't understand what you mean, Arthur." Brianna glared at Arthur with a confused look.

Arthur took a deep breath. "You know I want a serious marriage with you. I hope we can build a good home. Building chemistry between us, so that Chico doesn't grow up in a toxic family that makes him grow up to be a broken home."

Yes, of course Brianna knows with Arthur's intentions. Arthur told him yesterday.

"... I know you can't love me fast, so I don't want you to have the intention to destroy me by leaving me, so---"

"Wait!" sergeant Brianna cut off Arthur's speech. "So you think I'm gonna leave you, don't you?" tanyakanya.

"Who knows? You might want to repay me in that way just because now you know about how I feel about you which is now my weakness."

Brianna smiled wryly. "Why do you suddenly think like this?" tanyakanya.

"I'm just thinking about the worst possible. It's all possible when you come back to remember all the bad things I've done to you before."

Arthur's face seemed very frustrated, just imagining Brianna's vengeance on him alone, already making him weak.

Meanwhile, Brianna also admitted in her if she really wanted to find out about Arthur's weakness, right? And now he knows that Arthur's weakness is himself. Then, would he use this opportunity to completely destroy the man? Actually Brianna himself had not had time to think about it, but it turns out Arthur first discussed this possibility which actually reminded Brianna of her own revenge.

"Yes you're right." Brianna nodded her head. "I once intended to destroy you, as well as take revenge on you," he told Arthur's heart.

Hearing that, Arthur swiftly caught the back of Brianna's hand and grasped it.

"You can do anything to me, but not leave me, Bri."

Brianna can only thin the upper lip of Arthur's speech. He seems to realize that Arthur is completely dependent on him, not just because there is a Chico among them. So, the man's feelings towards him aren't messing around huh? But why Brianna still doubts it.
