FOREVER HATE YOU'S

FOREVER HATE YOU'S
46. I love her

That day, Arthur and Brianna surrounded Milan. They started with a trip to Piazza del Duomo.

Piazza del Duomo is the grandest square in Milan, home to the city's largest Gothic cathedral. They enjoy the view at the cafe, then visit the huge Duomo with its 135 towers and countless statues.

Arthur also invites Brianna to go to the roof terrace to be able to see all the amazing views of the city, using an elevator that can take them up to 70 meters to the top.

Brianna stared at the scene from up there with a look of amazement. He still did not expect to be able to step on a place like this. Suddenly he remembered his son, Chico would have been happy to take a walk with him.

"One day, I'd like to take Chico with us." Arthur hugged Brianna's shoulder while saying that. Brianna looked at him with a thin line, the man replied to what he was thinking. Are their thoughts in sync and in line now? I don't know, which is clear Arthur sounded understand Brianna lately.

"I also thought about it" admitted Brianna. "I'd like to take Chico for a walk someday" he said honestly.

"Well, and it'll happen with me."

The two of them stared at each other in silence as if they were exploring the seriousness of each other. Brianna knows Arthur isn't playing games, but she also understands that she can't be that serious about their relationship.

"Do you want to go shopping?" arthur asked to shift their conversation.

"Well, will it be cut out of my pay?" ask Brianna seriously.

Of course Arthur chuckled. He took out his wallet and pulled out a shiny black card.

"Get it, it's for you." Arthur held it out toward Brianna.

"What's this?"

"Credit card." Arthur answered briefly.

Brianna clucked her tongue. "Of course I know it's a credit card, Arthur. But for what?" tanyanya astonishment.

"For you. You can buy whatever you want and you like. Even for Chico. You can take anything. Think of it as something a husband deserves to give his wife" Arthur replied seriously.

Brianna threw away her gaze. He sneered a little but Arthur laughed because of Brianna's behavior.

"You're not happy with my gift?"

"No," replied Brianna indifferently.

"Then? Don't tell me you're gonna give me the card back."

Brianna grinning. "I'd be a fool if I just gave it back" he said.

Arthur slicked his shoulders. "You are right, so accept it. What else is the problem?" his question led to Brianna's sneer shortly after he gave the card.

"The problem is, you should have given me this card from the very beginning when we arrived in Milan. I could book a room myself and not have to bother thinking about the price" Brianna said frankly.

Arthur almost chuckled with the excitement Brianna threw.

"I was intentional so we could stay in one room. I want us to get closer."

Brianna had already opened her mouth to voice a protest, but Arthur pulled her arm and invited her to immediately move to another place.

"Come on!"

And Brianna according to when Arthur now takes him to a gallery.

The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a testament to Milan's title as one of the world's fashion capitals. This stunning arcade with glass ceilings connects the piazza Duomo and the Teatro alla Scala opera house, and is filled with upscale cafes and boutiques, such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Prada. Arthur frees Brianna to buy what's there for the brand Brianna wants.

Arthur thinks Brianna will buy all the brands with their latest collections. Brianna bought a dress under the Louis Vuitton label.

"That's all?" ask Arthur.

"Yes. Inipun I don't know where to wear it" admits Brianna.

Arthur only shook his head because he did not believe the woman who did not use her gift card to make fun.

They also stop at the coffee stop before heading to the piazza, and taste the cappuccino on the terrace of the place even though they have to pay a special fee when they want to occupy the place, because most people will only enjoy a drink by standing near the bar.

The castle is free to enter, but the museum charges around €5 (or free every first Sunday of the month and every first and third Tuesday of every month after the 14th). The castle is about 800 meters northwest of the Duomo, which they first visited.

They also enjoy Milanese food available there.

Their journey ends when they finish watching an Italian opera, orchestral concert, or classical ballet in an 18th-century opera house, Milan.

Brianna senses that Arthur was really looking after her throughout their departure. What Brianna is grateful for is that Arthur also looks healthy and that means he does not need to be bothered anymore by the man.

They returned to the hotel almost late at night and unknowingly fell asleep in the same bed from exhaustion. No one asked or was forced to do so as if it was their resting place together.

...****...

Arthur was aghast at the deafening sound of the phone ringing. He then took the object from the nightstand, without any intention of disturbing Brianna who was still sound asleep in his arms. The woman's face looked tired, but she was still beautiful in Arthur's eyes. Ah, forget about that for a moment because it could interfere with his concentration. He needs to see who's calling him now.

Jane's. That is the Mother. Arthur wanted to reject the call because he knew Jane would ask a lot of questions that were beyond reason. But avoiding Jane wasn't the right move, so it was better that she took her call.

Arthur had a glimpse of the clock, which turned out to show at 2 p.m. The time difference between Milan and New York makes him have to take a call from Jane at this hour, because in New York 6 hours slower than Milan.

"What's up, Mom?" arthur asked whispering. However, he did not want to disturb Brianna's comfortable position right now. He was enjoying the moment Brianna fell asleep in the chest of his field, so he didn't want to tease it just because of a call from Jane.

"How was your meeting with Serena?" Although Arthur said yesterday that he would not meet the girl, Jane finally got the news that Serena and Arthur met even if only briefly.

Arthur was not surprised by Jane's question. She hasn't told Jane about her impromptu marriage to Brianna. He also did not tell his mother about Chico who is his son. Jane doesn't know about this. Just as Brianna needs time to explain to Chico who Arthur really is, so does Arthur who needs time to convince his mother, about his relationship with Brianna, to produce Chico.

So, all this time what Brianna was thinking was wrong. Jane doesn't know anything about their marriage because Arthur hasn't told his mother.

However, Jane did meet Chico to give a miniature helicopter, in order to fulfill his promise to the boy. Of course, when she meets him, Jane doesn't know if Chico is really her own grandson.

"I met her a few days ago, Mom," replied Arthur referring to the mother's question about Serena. Ah, one more. Jane does not know if Arthur is currently in Milan with Brianna. All he knows is that Arthur is still in Canada.

"Then? How's it?" ask Jane then.

"How's what?" Arthur asked back.

"Do you guys fit in? You want to marry Serena, right?"

"No, Mom. I already refused that. I told you I'd found my own choice, right?"

"Who?"

"Brianna, Mommy. I told you, right?"

"What?" Jane's shock voice there, making Arthur flinch. It also affects Brianna who finally blinked her eyes and realized that Arthur was receiving a mobile call.

This is the second time Arthur mentioned Brianna's name to her mother, Jane should not be surprised anymore. But at the time, Jane thought Arthur was just joking around with Brianna's name. Jane thinks it was Arthur doing to avoid her match with Serena.

"Arthur?" murmured Brianna and Arthur beckoned the woman not to make a sound. Brianna complied and chose silence in her position.

"You're not messing around, are you, Arthur? Yesterday you just asked Brianna to be your personal assistant. And now what? You're saying that she's your woman of choice to marry?"

Arthur knew Jane would storm him with a lot of questions, but he had to be prepared for this since taking reckless action by taking Brianna to civil records back then.

"Yes, Mom. I've told you before. Why should you be surprised?"

"Mom thinks you're kidding."

"I'm seriously, Mom."

"But ... Why should Brianna? There are many other women who--"

"I love her, Mom." Arthur interrupted his mother's words. "And it's been a long time, so don't stop me. It's my absolute right and I didn't just vote for her, but I married her 3 days ago."

Arthur's remarks not only surprised Jane across the call, but also surprised Brianna in her position, the woman's body until pecking in place just because Arthur's statement said he had loved her for a long time. What kind of joke is this? Is this just Arthur's alibi for Jane to bless their marriage?
