3. Dark Time

"Look! He's right there!" Caitlyn's voice seemed to fill the deserted passageway, along with the shout, the other two friends went straight towards the direction Caitlyn pointed.

A girl meant by Caitlyn immediately ran again because her hiding place was already known to them. She is Brianna, the girl who is always bullied by Caitlyn and her friends.

"Haha, where are you going, Ugly?" caitlyn said to Brianna who was no longer able to run because she was surrounded by the three girls.

Caitlyn always called Brianna 'Jelek' because of the girl's unfashionable and nerdy appearance. Caitlyn wants to berate Brianna with the nickname bo doh, go b lok, to lol, or idiot but she knows if the girl is smarter than she is. Caitlyn must admit that Brianna is a genius, so that she can get a scholarship at the University they are currently in.

"You can't go anywhere anymore, so be prepared to take punishment from me" Caitlyn said with a wry smile.

Brianna knows that being clever is not enough to make her able to fight Caitlyn and the genk, she has no power to avenge them. He also relied on his good name to continue studying and receiving scholarships. If he fought back, then it is certain he would soon be kicked from the University which is quite famous - the campus where he studied.

"What am I really wrong with you? Why are you always so mean to me?" lirih Brianna was staring at Caitlyn and her friends.

"Mahaha ..." Caitlyn sneered, then looked at one of her friends. "Tell me what's wrong, Reyna," he told a girl named Reyna.

Reyna followed up laughing, which sounded very demeaning to Brianna.

"Your fault is .. 'cause you're poor."

The three of them then laughed in unison which made Brianna fed up when she heard it.

"You know, the money you spend on your college tuition comes from rich people like us, which is why you have to obey us. If we say you should be punished then you should be willing, Brianna. Nothing is easy and free in this world!" tetty said adding that Caitlyn and Reyna belong there.

"Now, listen to your punishment."

With a body that was trembling in fear, as well as a state that could no longer escape from being surrounded by the three people, then inevitably Brianna could only be silent to hear their words.

"First, you're gonna have to do the three of us." Reyna was the first to speak.

"Be-well," Brianna said in fear. He knew that if he refused, the punishment would be worse.

"That's still the first, Ugly!" tetty. "There are still other punishments" he added.

"You have to deliver this package to my crush, Arthur .." said Caitlyn with her signature smile.

Brianna immediately shook her head violently. He does not want to deal with Arthur who also likes to bully and insult him. Even Arthur, never using the heart to bully Brianna, he and Caitlyn both have no heart.

Sometimes, Brianna thinks that Caitlyn and Arthur are a good fit because they have the same cruel attitude.

"If you don't want to, then you will accept the consequences."

Caitlyn codes her two friends and Reyna pulls out the scissors from her bag and prepares to cut out Brianna's brown hair.

"Hold him!"

"NO!!!" peekik Brianna pleaded for them not to do the thing he did not want.

Brianna's running out of time, they're already acting*.

One side of Brianna's long hair had been cut quite a lot. It made her appearance lame because her hair became unbalanced, chaotic looking disheveled.

"Come on! You still want to refuse? If yes, then I'm not reluctant to make you bald!"

Brianna screamed stifled, she was crying out loud but no one would help her now.

"Your choice is only two, give this to Arthur or you'll be bald right now."

"Well, I'll take it to Arthur."

That day, Brianna was looking for Arthur's whereabouts throughout the campus that began to be quiet. With her appearance in disarray, Brianna finally saw Arthur who had just come out of the gym.

"Excuse me, I'm delivering this." Actually this is not the first time Brianna faced Arthur, it has been umpteenth time and it is because of Caitlyn's manners as well. And Brianna already knew if he dared to say hello to Arthur that means he was ready to accept the risk of being bullied by the young man.

Seeing Brianna who looked down with a timid face, it made Arthur more interested in menjajutnya. He knew very well that someone like Brianna would not be able to fight him, even just to return the look of his eyes would never dare.

"What?" arthur's Response. "Package of the same person again?" he continued not interested.

Brianna nodded with both hands outstretched with her package towards Arthur.

Arthur pretended to take the box but when he almost touched it and Brianna thought it was held, Arthur deliberately pushed back. Eventually the package fell on the ground.

With a casual gesture, Arthur stepped on the package box with the tip of his shoe.

"Sorry, I can't take that package from you."

Brianna stared at the box with teary eyes, if the package did not reach Arthur then he would be back in botaki by Caitlyn and her friends. At the moment Brianna is eager to run and hide so as not to meet cruel people like them.

"Why did you step on him?" lirih Brianna, she's almost crying right now.

Arthur instead sniffed his shoulders indifferently. "You don't like it? Then let's pick up the broken box" he said.

Brianna shook her head, of course she did not want to do that because it was the same as demeaning herself.

"So you don't want to?" Arthur chuckles discordantly, then pulls Brianna's chin with his big fingers.

Brianna looked frightened, she did know that her position was weak here.

"Don't bother me anymore or you'll accept the consequences."

"I-I-I just meant to deliver the package for you" Brianna admitted in a soft voice.

"You're not a courier! Stop being a bo doh!"

Brianna bowed her head deeply, until she finally decided to leave but she fell suddenly because Arthur blocked her leg with the man's leg.

"The street is dirty!" arthur said as he passed, he let Brianna who fell there without any pity at all. "You deserve that!" he continued that speech was still heard in Brianna's ear.

Brianna thought her suffering would stop there that day, in fact as she walked towards the bus stop, his clothes had to be wet due to the splashes of rainwater caused by the luxury car that flashed fiercely upon seeing his whereabouts. It must have been deliberately done to re-invade him.

When Brianna realized, it was Arthur's car.

"He really is breng sek!" brianna clenched her hands tightly.

Brianna long while remembering the dark times, where at that time he felt if he was too bo doh. Maybe she's good at lessons, but against people who bully and belittle her, Brianna can't do anything about it.

"That was the old me. I used to have no power, but now I'm going to fight anything, including Arthur, though now I know he's Mrs' son. Jane," Brianna's determination is in her heart.

Brianna looked hatefully at the man who had just entered her superior's room at the end of the corridor. He could never forgive Arthur. Moreover, Arthur's crimes against him, did not stop until finally the man became the same man who had ruined Brianna's life.

"Now I will not remain silent if you intend to harass me again, Si a lan!" murmured Brianna stressed in herself.
