That morning, Brianna sat down at a table with Jane and Arthur for breakfast. There was also Chico who seemed to enjoy his chocolate bread very much.
Regarding the red mark on Brianna's neck, he was finally able to overcome it by applying concealer, because Arthur really did not allow him to wear a turtleneck as if he intended to realize his speech to show off the results of his work.
Although at first Brianna was upset because of the desire of the man who had become her husband, but finally Brianna could outsmart him in her own way.
"Mom felt the breakfast table was very complete. Usually Mommy will only eat breakfast alone," Jane said staring at Arthur and Brianna alternately.
"Should we stay here, Mom?" it was Arthur's claws that made Jane chuckle.
"What about your responsibilities in Canada? Actually Mom would be very happy if you really were in New York, even if you don't live in this house, at least it would be closer to Mom."
"We'll be fine even if we're far apart, Mom," Arthur said casually.
While Brianna who also heard it so frowned. Is Arthur going back to Canada? actually, without Brianna asking, she should have known the answer. Considering Arthur's residence is in the country, it's also the job Jane says Arthur's responsibility is. But, somehow little heart Brianna felt heavy if now she had to be far away from the man. Could Brianna really have fallen in love with the man she once hated?
"You why?" Suddenly Arthur turned to Brianna who was silent without response, grasped the woman's fingers and waited for Brianna to answer her question.
"Uhm, there's no. I just felt too full," Brianna replied reasoned.
"You sure? I think you just ate a little" said Arthur.
"Hm ..." Brianna nodded her head.
"So, when, Arthur?" jane asked to distract the two men again. Arthur and Brianna stared at the mother.
"When are you going to officiate the wedding, and publish it?" jane asked, explaining the question.
Arthur and Brianna looked at each other.
"Uhm, I'm not ready for that yet, Mom," replied Brianna quietly.
"Why?" It wasn't Jane who asked, but Arthur.
With a look of hesitation, Brianna ventured to return Arthur's gaze. The look in the woman's eyes emitted a doubt that the man could clearly read.
"Well, we'll talk back and discuss it together, after this," Arthur said.
"Mom hope you can give Mom some good news soon, Bri, Arthur." Jane looked at them alternately with a hopeful gaze.
...****...
"I want to explain to Chico what the real situation is. I also wanted to convince Zach before we actually inaugurate this marriage on the holy altar" said Brianna, who actually spoke alone with Arthur in the back garden of Jane's residence.
Arthur massaged his temple. "When are you going to explain to Chico and convince Zach?" ask without looking at the woman.
"Come on," replied Brianna ambiguously.
Arthur took a long breath. "Oh, come on, Bri. If you can't explain it to Chico, let me tell him that I'm his real father" he said with a reassuring look.
"Don't!" Brianna clasped Arthur's hand as she stared at the man. "I can do it, but give me some more time. I don't want Chico to get hurt because of all this" he said.
"Hurt what, honey? He accepted me as his Daddy. He also said he would marry you."
Brianna lowered her head, she twisted her own fingers.
"What really makes you doubt?" Arthur asks again after seeing Brianna's unusual gurgle.
Brianna sighed with all her chest. "I'm afraid to start with Chico, afraid that he really knows you're his real father. I don't want him to feel that .. You haven't wanted his birth. You just showed up lately, not since she was born into the world. I'm at a loss to explain if he asks where you've been all this time."
Arthur grabbed Brianna by the shoulder, now he knows that the burden was borne by his wife.
"Then let me explain to him who I really am."
Brianna shook her head, not sure if Chico would accept Arthur's explanation.
"Trust me this. I promised to ease your burden, didn't I?" Arthur convinced Brianna with his determined eyes.
"You sure?" ask Brianna again.
Arthur nodded. "Whatever the risk, I'll bear it. Wasn't I the alpha from Chico's birth?" abugn.
"That's because you don't know if Chico's around."
Arthur leaves Brianna there, galloping to Chico who plays in the living room because Jane had bought some toys for the boy to play in his house.
"Accio ..." With feelings that are also anxious, Arthur will try to tell the truth to the boy, related to him who is the real father of Chico.
"What's up, Dad?" Chico responded with his lisp voice.
"There's something Daddy wants to show you. Do you want to see it?"
Chico looked a curious face. His great curiosity made him immediately nod to Arthur's words.
"OK, come on. We'll see it in Daddy's room!" take Arthur who then takes Chico to his room in Jane's residence.
"Is this Daddy's room?" chico asked as he entered the room.
"Hmmm.." Arthur walked in and headed straight for the tall cupboard in the corner of the room.
"Woa, this room is so big, Dad!" muttered Chico amazed. He thinks Arthur's room is as big as the apartment he's staying in with Brianna.
Arthur only smiled faintly in response to his son's words, he focused on finding something he wanted to show the child.
"Here it is" said Arthur, taking the thing he was looking for.
Chico turned to the man and saw that Arthur was carrying some kind of large and thick book. "What is that, Dad?" responsiveness.
"This is Daddy's childhood photo album."
The sparkle in Chico's eyes seemed to glow, especially if the boy was interested in what Arthur wanted to show.
Arthur sat by his son's side, on a soft carpet that was already stretched out on the floor of his room. Then the man starts to open his photo album and tries to show Chico.
"Take a look at this ..." Arthur points to a photograph of him when he was Chico's age.
"Well, was this Daddy when he was a kid?" chico Response.
"Huum," replied Arthur nodded.
"You're cool, Dad!" Chico gave a thumbs up and enthusiastically saw the other photos.
"You realize something?" arthur asked the boy, though he wasn't sure Chico would realize what he meant.
"What?" chico Sahut.
"Daddy as a child, very similar to you," Arthur explained later.
Chico immediately chuckled, feeling intrigued by Arthur's words, but his little brain instantly digested if what the grown man said was true. Arthur's little face was very similar to his. Why that?
"Why does Daddy look like me?" ask the boy plainly.
Arthur thins the lips. "It's not Daddy's face that looks like you, it's your face that looks like Daddy's" he explained.
"Is that so?"
Arthur nodded. "You don't want to ask why our faces look alike?"
Chico's speechless. Seemed to think hard this time. "I don't know, Dad, why?" said slowly.
"Because Daddy is your real father. Do you understand that?" arthur asked in a very careful tone.
Chico shook his head innocently. "meaning?" tanyanya's confused. The boy scratched his head at a glance.
Arthur rattled Chico's hair in a fit of rage. "One of the reasons you could be in this world is because of Daddy, in other words you're a descendant of Daddy. Like Momma who gave birth to you, Daddy was the one who made Momma conceive of you," he explained with great difficulty finding the best vocabulary.
Chico looked frowning, a moment later he looked at Arthur with a difficult gaze for Arthur to understand. "Is all that important?" tanyanya.
"Of course, you've always felt like you didn't have a dad, right? Not anymore. There I am as your Daddy, dear," said Arthur softly.
Chico returned to shake. "I have Zach's father" he replied calmly and like there was no burden.
Now Arthur knows that explaining to Chico not only takes extra patience and caution, but also has to be good at sorting words so that the boy can catch the intent he wants to express.
