Brianna was shocked to hear Jane's story today. Jane asks him to fly to Canada and become Arthur's assistant. Of course Brianna rejected it, she also felt this was absurd.

"Sorry, Madam. I work with you in this company. Not with Mr. Mattews at his Canadian company" Brianna subtly refused.

"Well, I know .. but this is only temporary, Bri. Cleo's back to work anyway. Meanwhile, Assistant Arthur in Canada is on leave because his wife wants to give birth."

"No, no," Brianna shook her head. "I can't, Madam."

"I beg you, Bri. Arthur's gonna be a hassle there. After all, he had already agreed to me match up, so I thought it would not hurt if I helped him by providing a replacement for his personal assistant there," Jane said with a pleading face.

"But why should I?"

"Only you do I trust to take care of Arthur's needs there, he has bad habits, one of which is that he is undisciplined and careless, for which he cannot be without an assistant."

"There are so many others, Madam. I can't leave New York" Brianna said. In addition to the heavy heart of being Arthur's assistant, he would be heavy to leave Chico here.

"It won't be long, Bri. It's only been 2 months until Alister gets back to work" Jane said lightly.

"2 months?" repeat Brianna.

"Yes, if you don't want to .. sorry, I'm forced to replace your position with someone else's, forever," Jane told Brianna.

Jane is forced to do so, as Arthur only wants to see Serena if she has been sent a replacement for her Assistant. Indeed Arthur did not insist on mentioning Brianna as a replacement for Alister, but the man had said that Brianna is competent in this matter and Jane also admitted it. So, Jane thought it would not hurt if Brianna left for Canada, after all Cleo was back to work and Brianna's duties were not as busy when Cleo was on leave.

In another sense, Brianna is the most suitable candidate to serve as Arthur's Assistant in Canada. And the decision was not inviolable, so Jane had to be rather firm with Brianna, because she knew Arthur did need an assistant to start the day.

"I'm sorry, Bri. Think of this as a race for your career. Maybe if Arthur suits you, then he'll keep you his assistant. Isn't that nice? Your career is improving, right?"

Brianna could only maintain a thin smile, perhaps in Jane's thinking it would be better if that happened, in another sense Brianna's career increased from an ordinary secretary to a personal assistant, but for Brianna it is not so. If it wasn't Arthur maybe he'd agree with Jane, but the problem now is Arthur. Isn't this the same as Brianna who accidentally entered the lion's den?

"Mom .. Can I come? I don't want you to leave me here" Chico said with a sad face that made Brianna's heart break.

"I'm sorry Momma, honey. Mom can't take you. This is Mom's job so Chico should be able to accept it, yeah." Brianna stroked Chico's puffed cheeks which were now moistened by tears.

"Don't cry." Brianna rubbed the water that fell on Chico's cheek. "Courtesy Momma is a strong Ank" he said comfortingly, as he also left Chico like this.

"I'm so sorry, Mom. Because I'm sick, Mom has to work hard."

Brianna shook her head, her tears almost breaking upon hearing the son's words.

"No. No. Not so, my dear. Mom works to make Chico's life better in the future. Don't blame yourself, hmm?"

Chico did not answer Brianna's remarks, he continued to cry to let Brianna go at the airport today.

"Look at me, be strong, boy! Don't cry anymore, okay?" Brianna pointed her little finger at Chico, standing on her knees to match her gaze with the boy.

"Okay, Mom." Chico also linked his little finger to the mother's reflection.

Brianna was about to stand up but Chico's small hand prevented her.

"Mom?"

"Yes, Honey?" Brianna looked again at the son, he held back the tears that seemed to want to come dripping, but with all his heart he held it.

"Do if I have Daddy then Mom doesn't have to be busy working anymore? Daddy's gonna make some money and meet all our needs?"

Brianna is stunned by Chico's innocent speech, but is able to make her touched.

"Why are you saying this, honey?" Brianna forced a smile, though she didn't really understand where Chico understood this.

"Aunt Ellie doesn't work, she always makes her favorite Vito pancakes. When I asked Vito why his mother didn't work, he said his father was looking for money and could make ends meet, so Aunt Ellie was just at home, playing, playing, learn together and cook good food for Vito."

Brianna's tears eventually fall as well, it turns out that Chico deduces everything from the life of one of his friends who lives in the same apartment building as them.

As much as possible Brianna covered her tears, she rubbed her tears violently, occasionally Brianna also stared at the airport ceiling so as not to make her tears fall back.

"You already have a father, Chico. Zach's dad works, too, right?"

"Then, why is Momma still working, even now having to go far?"

"Momma's only gone for 2 months, we can still make a video call." Brianna tried to calm Chico down.

"Can I catch up with Momma?"

Brianna nodded. Though she can't possibly let Chico into Canada, nothing, Brianna is just trying to neutralize an accidental encounter between Chico and Arthur. Think of it just to make Chico calmer.

Brianna finally says goodbye to Flo and Zach who also ushered in her departure today.

"Bri, hope your work is fun" Flo said encouragingly.

"yeah. Thanks, Flo." Brianna is actually not eager to leave, other than having to leave Chico, he is also not honest with his family that he will be Arthur's personal assistant there. Brianna kept this a secret, she just said it was a business trip, just like her departure 2 weeks ago to London.
