I immediately held the arms of Puspa and Kencana. They both made me disappear. Before long, we came to a hill with many big trees.

"The forest?" much

"This is Vaishnawa hill" said Puspa

"Waisnawa hill?" much

"Yes princess, this hill is called Vaishnawa because it contains many temples of worship for Lord Vishnu" said Kencana

The word Kencana hill is referred to as Vaishnawa hill. That means, there is one of the royal family (the descendants of Syailendra) who worship the god Vishnu.

"Puspa, do you know why my ancestors worshipped Vishnu?" much

"God Vishnu is the guardian and protective god. So that the king and the people need protection from distress" Kencana said.

Kencana later explained that during the Hindu Mataram Kingdom. There are all kinds of disasters. Like mountains erupting and earthquakes. In addition, there is also an attack from the enemy that can cause disaster.

War can result in death, poverty, fear, and discomfort. That is what makes people need the figure of Lord Vishnu. The people hope by worshipping Vishnu. They can avoid various disasters and disasters.

"Daughter, do you know Vishnu's promise to mankind?" ask Kencana

Means :

"What can you take from that sloka, princess?" ask Puspa.

"The promise of Vishnu will come down to the world, when the world is in danger" I said

"The princess, but Vishnu will come down to the world if the people need it. So it must be puja first." said Kencana

"Do you know the Avatar of Vishnu?" tanya Puspa

I nodded and then explained. There are 10 forms of Lord Vishnu. There are 10 Vishnu statues, including Matsya, Dates, Waraha, Narasingha, Vamana, Parasurama, Rama, Krishna, Buddha, and Kalki.

"But there are many forms of awatara, princess" said Puspa

"meaning?" much

"It's not just 10 people" Kencana said

According to the Puranas, countless Awataras have descended into this world.

These images are not always “incarnation directly” or “direct incarnation” from Sang Hyang Vishnu. Some Awatara are believed to have “blessed souls” or got “god” powers as chosen beings.

Purusha Awatara: The first Awatara of Sang Hyang Vishnu who influenced the creation of the universe. The awatara is:

Vasudeva

Sankharsans

Pradyumna

Aniruddra

According to Bhagavad Gita:

Kananodakaayi Vishnu (Maha Vishnu): Vishnu who lies in the sea of causes and He breathes out many universes (galaxies?) the number cannot be counted;

Garbhodakaayi Vishnu: Vishnu entered into every universe and created various forms;

Ksirodakasayi Vishnu (Main Spirit): Vishnu entered into every being and into every atom.

Guna Awatara: Awatara-Awatara which regulates three kinds of aspects in living beings. The Awatara-Awatara are:

Brahma, the regulator of lust and desire (Rajas)

Vishnu, regulator of the properties of goodness (Satwwam)

Shiva the regulator of the nature of laziness (Tamas)

Manwantara Awatara: Awatara is believed to be the creator of the ancestors of mankind on earth

Narasimha is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu as a lion-headed man. He descends into the world to save humanity from the gigantic cruelty of Hiranyakacipu which can only be killed at dusk.

Narasimha also symbolizes the chaos that began to appear during the Kertayuga period, the beginning of the classical period of Central Java (the beginning of the Hindu Mataram kingdom VIII-IX century AD). The worship of Narasimha was meant to bring the chaos to an end.

"Why should Hiranyakasipu be killed by a Narasingha figure?" much

King Hiranyakasipu received a grandeur from Lord Brahma in the form of immunity can not be killed, either by gods, humans or animals, at night or during the day, and inside or outside the house.

The devotion makes Hiranyakasipu arrogant and wants to rule the world. Finally Vishnu transformed into Narasimha and managed to kill Hiranyakasipu in the afternoon, on the doorstep.

I observed the statue of Wamana Awatara. The statue measures 88 cm high, 92 cm wide, and 127 cm thick it depicts the figure of a man who stands by lifting one leg. Under the raised leg is depicted a woman sitting squatting, with both hands in a worshiping position.

The scene is identified as part of the Vamanaavatara story, which is a story about the incarnation of Lord Vishnu as a dwarf brahmin (Vamana) who saved the world from a giant cruelty called Bali.

"Bali is a despotic and arrogant giant king. Then Vishnu will punish the arrogance of Bali with the form of a midget" said Puspa.

When this dwarf brahmin whose arrival was glorified by Bali asked for a place of three steps from all over the Balinese-controlled world, he changed shape as Lord Vishnu.

"That means the King of Bali has been trapped by his own arrogance?" my many.

"Yes princess" said Puspa

In 3 steps (Trivikrama), Vishnu can rule the world and the universe, while Bali is given a place in hell with its followers.

"Who is the woman who worships Vamana?" much

"It was the mother of the king of Bali. He begged Dewa Wamana to forgive Bali" Puspa said.

After that, I went around and observed this place.

"Our daughter will take you to the next hill" Kencana said.

"Next door?" much
