The nobleman simply smiled and then disappeared.
"So this is my descendant too. It's great that the generation of Mataram who once held a different island wedding." My inner
"Son, let's go to a place where Mayadenawa can be defeated by the god Indra" said Wira
"Wir." I said.
We also do our bikes. Yes as Wira said, that the location is very close. Actually, walking can. But because it doesn't want to be complicated. We finally got a motor.
5 Minutes later we arrived at the parking lot we were heading to. I was ready to take out my wallet. Because I know and look on the information board. The ticket cost, per adult Rp 25,000
"No need, brother.. let the hero finish it" said Wira.
He walked ahead of us first. Just like when in Goa Gajah. It won't take long, the hero is back soon.
"Let's go in" he said
"Pay Wir?" much
"Sir" he said with a smile - a smile.
We entered just like any other tourist. It's really okay - what the hell is paying. For the preservation fund, but if it can be free, it's good, hehehe...
We were welcomed by the pecalang (customary security team) and the stakeholders. They are tasked to give tirta and remind female visitors to tie hair.
"Hair tied up?" ask the stakeholder
"Sampun Jero Mangku" I said
Yes, if you visit Tirta Empul Temple. It is mandatory for a woman to tie her hair. It was because of a concept. The story of Dewi Dupradi (wife of pandavas) whose hair is decomposed because it is tainted by Kaurava. He promised not to tie his hair before shampooing using the blood of Dursasana (the 2nd child of Kurawa). So for women who decompose hair is believed to be a form of anger. An angry person (his hair is unraveled) should not enter the temple. Entering the temple must be with a clean heart and peace of soul.
"Is there something?" ask one of Jero Mangku
"This is my brother who wants to ask for the Sudamala tirta, Jero" said Wira
"Yes, you guys please see the splendor of the temple first. As soon as the visitors are reduced" said Jero Mangku.
"Good" we said compact.
We also entered through the gate paduraksa. Yes the gate as the boundary of the holy arena.
As is generally pretended in Bali, Tirta Empul Temple is horizontally divided into three pages, namely the outer page, middle page, and inner page.
In the outer courtyard (jaba) there are several buildings such as wantilan and ponds along with ornamental fish to beautify the temple. In the middle yard there are several buildings, including Bale Pegat, Bale Agung, Bale Gong, and the holy park.
On the inner courtyard which is the holiest courtyard there are a number of sacred worship buildings such as Bale Piyasan, Bale Pememanan, Bale Pawedan, Pelinggih Mayadanawa, Pelinggih Patih Mayadanawa, Bale Priyasan Dewa, Gedong Pemememememerit, Gedong Dewa, Gedong Dewa, Tepasana, Gedong Sari, Bale Penguman, and Bale Peselang.
wuuussh
The wind suddenly blew and made my cloth and hair flutter.
"We're welcome to come in, brother" Andi said
"Yes right, Ndi... I saw many angels bowing their heads. It seems they respect me." I said
"Of course the princess, it's a form of homage to the Queen of Mataram" said Adhiraksa who suddenly appeared.
"Eh you showed up? I'm not calling" my inner self
"Hello. did you forget the princess. I changed roles with Dewi Puspasari. So during Puspa and Kencana. I'm the one who will protect you" said Adhiraksa, showing his arrogance
As an archaeologist, my eyes were fixed on a spot. Yeah, a place where there's a lot of archaeological remains.
"That's a phallus?" much
"Four natural stone fruit. These natural stones are in the inner courtyard of the temple, located near the Gedong Sari building. These natural stones are still considered sacred by the temple community" said Jofel
"Possibly it was menhir, brother. Menhir or stone throne related to religious interests" said Andi
Menhir is an upright stone erected as a memorial sign and symbolizes the spirits of ancestors. Menhirs can stand upright or in groups.
Menhir is a reflection of megalithic monuments erected by a group of people in certain places and will legitimize the relationship between community groups with their ancestors or ancestors.
Meanwhile, the stone throne is one of the results of stone technology that first functioned as a sacred throne of the spirits of ancestors or respected leaders.
"That's Yoni, isn't it?" much
"Yes Kak is right, it is a lingga-yoni. The yoni phallus is found on a statue in the central courtyard to the west of the sacred pool of Tirta Empul. The phallus located (standing) in the yoni hole is made from solid stone material, with a height of 21 cm and a width of 16 cm. While the yoni is below it, the side is 50 cm. As a means of worship this object is known to symbolize the unity of Lord Shiva with the devotion of Goddess Parvati" explained Wira
Yoni is a stone shaped object that has a spout on one side. According to Hindu belief, yoni is a symbol of the pair of Lord Shiva in the form of a phallus. Therefore, the yoni has a pair of phallus shaped like a pole or stone pounding yoni is also a symbol of the female element, while the phallus is a symbol of the male element. The union of the two elements is considered a symbol of creation and fertility.
"Why?" much
"Soalah from earlier nanya's daughter continues. Though the princess knows what it means and what it means" said Adhiraksa
"Yes, I do know all that. But I have to make the people around me important. So I have to interact." I said
"It turns out that's the point, good princess. I get it now. Oh yes princess, your time is only until today huh. Before tonight the ritual is carried out" said Adhiraksa
"Today I will finish" I said
"Sister, let's go on again" Andi said
I followed them into the temple. It turns out that this temple contains a lot of archaeological remains. I saw there were statues of Goddesses, statues of animals, pendopo, and others.
In the Tirta Empul Temple, two statues of animals were found, namely ox and lion placed together with the lingga-yoni above. A statue of a cow from solid stone material was found in Pura Tirta Empul. The cow statue measures length: 90 cm, height: 48 cm, and width of 36 cm, made from solid stone. Sculpture of the cow in a face down stance on a long four-lapiksegi in a state of wear. A lion statue was also found in Tirtha Empul with a height of 59 cm, width: 58 cm, and 32 cm thick, made of solid stone.
"Nandi yes?" much
"Betul kak, he as a vehicle of Lord Shiva. While the form of Shiva and Parvati is manifested in Lingga and Yoni" said Andi
"Sister, let's go to tepasana" Jofel said
"What is tepasana?" much
"Based on its shape, fragments of this building are thought to be part of the arrangement of the roof prasada or temple. Fragments made from this solid stone on the sides have been overgrown with moss, while the corners and bottom are in a state of wear. In addition to building fragments, in Pura Tirta Empul there is a main building, namely tepasana which is similar to the shape of the temple." explained Wira
I am proud of my 3 juniors. It turns out they have learned a lot. Not wrong I invite them to look for tirta at once can learn.
"This temple is very unique" said Jofel
"Why's ethnicity?" much
"Pura Tirta Empul is a representation of the water park temple developed by the rulers in the past. The selection of springs as the location of the holy site seems to be very in accordance with the concept of Ancient India which requires that the location of a temple should be as close as possible to the source of water" Jofel explained
"Oh yes, tirta .. where is the tirta? Nara has not seen it yet." I said
"There's on the side, sister" said Wira
I was also interested in some of the panels presented in the information board. I forgot to mention the physical description. And the history I don't know yet. My archeological soul must move on to know its history.
"Oh yeah how is the history of this temple?" much
"To be able to uncover the history of the establishment of Pura Tirta Empul, there are several written sources that can be used, including the Manukaya Inscription and the Usana Bali lontar library. Prasasta Manukaya is an inscription on a stone, now the inscription is stored in a mostgih (holy building) in Pura Puseh Manukaya Village." replied Wira
As soon as I heard the word "astronomy". I was also immediately interested. Yes the official royal document is inscription data.
"Manukaya Castle?" much
"Yes Kak, Since 1924 the Manukaya Inscription has attracted attention among antiquities experts, especially antiquities experts from the Netherlands. Among those who took great interest in this inscription was W.F. Stutterheim. Stutterheim was the first to successfully read the Manukaya Inscription and it was later published in his book Oudheden Van Bali. This inscription is reread by R. Goris and published it in his book entitled Inscription of Bali" said Wira
"To know the details about the Manukaya Inscription. Let's join Jero Mangku to patirtan." said Jero Mangku who arrived - arrived join nimbrung
We then smiled at Jero Mangku and said a greeting.
"Your daughter will get a science on how to release someone who is affected by bad influences. And you will know how the tirta will work" said Adhiraksa
"What is this from Jero Mangku?" much
"Yes, he will show through a story contained in this tirta. You have to be able to interpret the meaning so that tonight you can do that to free the princes" Adhiraksa said
"Let's go to the thunderclap. My permission will explain the story about this spring" said Jero Mangku.
