I just smiled too. After we discussed about Candi Bima. We also did not forget to worship the Gods in Bima Temple. When we finished, we headed to the next temple.

"Where are we going now, Dhir?" much

"To the Ulung Archer" said Adhir.

I also scratched my forehead. Hmm. of course I know, what Adhir meant.

"Do you know where that is?" ask Adhir.

"That's my favorite place there. We can take pictures with the character of the puppet character." I said

"Hahaha.dasaaar, yaudah let's cus there." take Adhir.

The distance of Bima Temple with Arjuna Temple is not far. About 10 minutes until. You have to muter.

10 Minutes later

We arrived at the Arjuna temple parking lot. We passed some tourist traders there. Yes it is because this temple is the most visited temple. Adhir also gave 5 pieces of 100k to the counter attendant.

"Mas, it's mostly just 50k" said the counter guard.

"No papa mas, just take the advantages" said Adhir.

The counter attendant then gave us a tour guide. But we also refused subtly.

When entering the location, we first passed a unique place. It's on the right side of the entrance counter.

"Do you know what that is?" ask Adhir.

"Know, it's Dharmasala" I said

Dharmasala comes from Sanskrit, dharma which means teaching or law, and Sala which means place. Dharmasala has a function as a place to prepare religious ceremony activities before being performed at the temple. The building is located in the Arjuna Temple complex in the form of pendapa or open buildings of wood.

"Do you know what it does?" much

"In india, the origin of the temples, also found many buildings of this kind. Its function is to provide a place of rest for visitors who worship at the temples. Besides that, Dharmasala building is also used as a place for ceremonies or religious gatherings. Thus these buildings are only temporarily functional and not residential buildings" said Adhir.

Hmmm.so Dharmasala is a kind of resting place for you yatri or priest.

Some Dharmasala buildings use well-hewn stones. Most likely the special Dharmasala building that has these panels is used as a place of official religious ceremonies before visiting the temple or used for the rest of important figures of the kingdom while the foundation in the form of umpak-umpak is usually reserved for the pilgrims the most people.

"There is something interesting about this place. I see an aura of chastity here" said Adhir.

"Aura chastity? you mean old well?" much

Adhir looked at me. Maybe he couldn't believe it, if I knew there were two ancient wells in this Dharmasala complex.

"Why?" much

"Where do you know?" ask Adhir.

"I've been here, besides, I've washed my face here" I said

He also pulled my hand. And invited me to go to that well.

"The names are Sendang Maerokoco and Sendang sedAyu" I said

"You know?" ask Adhir.

"Tu's got the writing" I said with a laugh.

Adhir then pulled over his own seat.

Sendang Sedayu and Sendang Maerokoco are two water sources that are very important in the cultural rituals of the Dieng highland people. These two sources of water are considered as holy water that can cleanse themselves and the souls of people who want to pray in the Arjuna Temple Complex.

"Let's clean up first" said Adhir.

"Who are you?" much

"We are Prince Maerokoco and this is Goddess Sedayu. We are both rulers of these two ancient wells" said Prince Maerokoco

We both greeted the owner of the well.

"Pardon our tightness prince." I said

"No, crown princess. We are happy. Because it was visited by princes and princesses." said Dewi Sedayu.

At that time there was a warm conversation. The Goddess then invited us. Of course to wash our faces. We were even allowed to take a shower.

"Mandi??" much

I insisted, because there was no way I could bathe in the open like that. The prince seemed to know with my heart. He smiled and briefly built the bathroom.

"Please princess" said the Prince

Adhir also let me take a shower first. This rare opportunity must be taken advantage of. I took a shower, how fresh the water was. I feel myself as shining. What a scented water. I want to soak so much. And I don't want to get out of there. But Adhir's screams made me realize. I then put my clothes back on.

"How do you feel?" ask Adhir.

"So soon, Dhir, thank you prince and goddess." I said.

Now it is his turn to Adhiraksa. He took a shower and cleaned himself.

*

Etymologically, “sendang” means a collection of holy water, while “rahayu” means self-cleaning. Therefore, “sendang sedayu” can be interpreted as a holy spring used to clean themselves.

Maerokoco. The name “maerokoco” pinned on this water source refers to the figure of Gatotkaca. When Gatotkaca was born, he could not see. At the source of this spring, everyone who comes is expected to introspect all the things that have been done.

The ritual of self-purification will begin in Sendang Sedayu then to Sendang Maerokoco and end in a building called Dharmasala. Dharmasala is a place for people to tidy up their clothes before moving to the place of worship.

There are sources that mention its existence is older, because it is related to the beliefs of Kapitayan. Kapitayan is a belief system that is embraced by the Dieng community before the entry of Hinduism and other religions. In this belief, the presence of water or a water source is very important because it is considered the starting place of life.

After finishing in both of those sakti. We then walked towards Arjuna Temple. Arjuna Temple is one of the temples in the Arjuna temple group. This group of temples is located in the middle of the Dieng Temple Area and consists of 5 temples that are lined up to extend north-south.

"Arjuna Temple is incorporated into the art of the New Dieng building, with a square measuring 6 x 6 meters, with the door facing west. The temple was established on the foundation of soft soil like peat.  The foundation here means compacting the soil under the temple, to strengthen the soil before the temple was established" said Adhir.

"Yes, I've heard, that this land used to be a swamp. It has something to do with the Ashwatama Gangster" I said

"Can you tell me about the tunnel, Nara?" ask Adhir.

I nodded my head too.

"The Ashwatama Mountains are waterways that originate from the plain out through channels under the mountain. This channel is in the form of culverts arranged from rocks located in the Northwest of the Dieng Plateau" I said

"Keep, the connection with Arjuna Temple?" ask Adhir.

" The Ashwatama Mountains can show that once this plain area was full of water or in the form of a large lake. It is likely that this Gangsiran was built before the temples were established especially the Arjuna Temple Complex, Parikesit Temple and some Dharmasala. The temple buildings are indeed located in the lowest area, so it needs to be dried first so that there is enough land to build it" I said

Adhir then mangosteen mangosteen. He also knew, if this place was a lake.

"Can you tell me about this building, Miss Young Archaeologist?" ask Adhir.

"Sure, I will do" I said with a smile
