Chapter 10 - Wretched?

It would be a lie if Elnara said she was okay, because in reality she felt hurt. There was no place for him to complain, all he was alone.

Luckily there is a Fian who has been there lately always accompany him. As of this moment, Fian picked Elnara up from campus and they were having lunch together.

"Your husband isn't angry I asked you to lunch together?" ask Fian who just realized if he had gone far.

Elnara smiled wryly, wanting to answer that her husband did not even bother to ask her how she was. Unfortunately, Elnara did not want to make Zayan's name ugly in the eyes of her best friend.

"Just relax Yan, my husband is not the jealous type," Elnara replied casually.

"It's good that your husband isn't jealous. Then he believes in you."

Fian's words really made Elnara want to laugh out loud. If Zayan believed him of course he would not have defended Micah without asking him first.

Elnara was already about to chimed in on Fian's words when her eyes accidentally caught the shadow of the 2 people she recognized. They are Zayan and Okta who happen to be having lunch at a restaurant near the Elnara campus.

"El!" call Okta with spirit.

Elnara smiled, waving at Okta. If only Zayan had not come along with Okta perhaps Elnara would have pretended not to know the man.

"Well, Bang Okta! Join us Bang, we haven't talked for a long time." Fian greeted Okta excitedly, he had yet to realize the figure of the man beside Okta who was now glaring sharply at Elnara.

"Hi, bro! How are you? Where did you just look?" tanya Okta greeted Fian excitedly.

"Gue well Bang, only a few months ago I returned to Indonesia." Both of them are cool to chat without knowing there is someone who stares dislike at them.

"Mas Okta, we talked about it. Let's have lunch first, let's go to work." Elnara immediately interrupted the conversation of the two men.

To be honest Elnara was not comfortable with the gaze Zayan gave her. I don't know why Zayan was looking at her so sharply when Elnara felt she had done nothing wrong.

"Oh yeah until I forget, let's have lunch first." Okta patted her forehead slowly, maybe she was too cool to tell a story until she forgot to eat lunch.

The four had lunch together with silence. Elnara was not wanting to tell me anything, she was still uncomfortable with Zayan who still occasionally looked at her sharply.

Fian himself ate quietly, even though something was troubling his mind. He could see the sharp glare cast by the man beside Okta that was on Elnara.

"Gue forgot to know him, he's my hero from school days." As if it could read Fian Okta's mind immediately introduced Zayan.

"Fian" said Fian, introducing himself.

Zayan only welcomed Fian's hand briefly. She is upset that Okta introduced her only as a friend, not as the husband of her cousin's sister.

No one knew that Okta was playing around with Zayan's feelings. Okta wanted to see what kind of reaction Zayan saw Elnara with another man and did not introduce himself as the girl's husband.

Lunch is over, Elnara and Fian leave first because Elnara still has a lecture schedule. Now only Zayan and Okta live, both of them do not want to leave the restaurant.

"Who is he?" zayan asked when he confirmed that Elnara and Fian had left.

"He who do you mean?" ask Okta back who deliberately made Zayan emotional.

"You know what I mean Okta. Now quickly tell me who that man is. I'm quite surprised he got to know you and Elnara."

"He's El's best friend and the man who's crazy about El. I'm surprised he returned to Indonesia, if El had not married I guarantee Fian who will marry El."

Okta's words successfully made Zayan even hotter. Zayan himself was quite surprised because he did not like to see Elnara being able to laugh freely with other men.

"Don't let them establish a relationship" said Zayan origin.

"Look, you think El chick is what. Don't be the same as him who cheats!" reply Okta cruelly.

"I'm not cheating. How many times do I have to tell you, my relationship with Micah is just a coworker!" refute Zayan who was not appreciated by Okta.

"As for you! Anyway, why would you want to know El's relationship with Fian? Lo jealous?"

Zayan was shocked to hear a question from OKta. He himself did not know why he could behave like this.

"I'm not jealous!" Zayan again denied that he was met with a smile full of ridicule from Okta.

"It's good that you're not jealous, let me not feel guilty because I hope Fian's love is ethereal."

"You forgot Elnara was my wife?"

"Gue didn't forget, but as a brother I'm obviously happier to see my sister being ignored instead of loving one-sidedly!" okta said firmly that Zayan could not break.

What Okta said was true, as an older brother of course Okta was more siding with Fian who looked so sincere in loving Elnara as she was.

"Zayan, I know your feelings are the same El. I know you don't have any love for him, so stop acting like you're jealous! Don't make my sister wish that you hurt her in the end."

After saying that Okta immediately left Zayan who could not reply to Okta's every word.

"Yes, you're right Okta, why should I behave like a jealous man if I have no feelings for Elnara myself other than hatred?" Zayan muttered with a faint smile.

Zayan wanted to laugh at himself for behaving like a jealous husband. Can Zayan beat himself up to get back to his right?
