Chapter 23 - Explanation

Elnara chose to quietly listen to Zayan's explanation. He had already given her his phone and showed her what photo Micah had sent.

Zayan seemed to let out a tired sigh, it seemed that the man did not expect that Micah had come this far.

"This photo is true, I celebrated a birthday with several employees. That night I was going home, but suddenly they came into my room with a birthday cake. I didn't feel good about resisting, so I thought I'd celebrate for a while with them before coming home."

"Why don't you know El?" elnara asked directly when she heard the brief explanation from Zayan.

"My phone is gone, I've wanted to contact you but suddenly lost somewhere. Micah also promised to contact you and I foolishly believed his words."

"It looks like Mikha's mother deliberately hid Mas's phone." Elnara's law is slowly approved by Zayan.

"Regarding the second photo, it's all obviously Micah's engineering. That night, another employee asked for a dinner treat and I took their request for granted. We had dinner together and it looks like Micah engineered it like we had dinner together."

"Mas also did not go home, does that also include plans from Ms Micah?" Elnara asked again boldly, she was tired of guessing what happened that night.

"I don't know, that night after dinner I went straight to another employee. Suddenly I felt very dizzy and some male employees helped me. I don't remember what happened, the next morning I woke up on a hotel bed. Wanted to call you, but my phone hasn't been found."

Elnara fell silent, wondering what Micah had planned. It seems, the woman deliberately made this misunderstanding and easily guessed Elnara would ask for a break from Zayan.

"Mas Zayan told Ms Micah about the thirty-day request from El?" asked Elnara who made Zayan with a heavy heart nod.

"Yes, at first I thought after those thirty days our relationship could improve. Besides, I have some other plans for Micah." Zayan replied casually, but kept a little secret.

"What plan, Mom?" ask Elnara curiously.

Zayan looked at Elnara for a moment, thinking whether she should tell the girl her plan.

"I'm sorry, I can't seem to tell you just yet. For sure this doesn't involve you, I'm just finding out about Micah's past." Zayan explained slowly, as if afraid of hurting Elnara.

"Alright, El will wait for Mas Zayan to tell himself. I hope there won't be any more disappointments after."

"Would you forgive me and go back to our house?" that was the question Zayan wanted to ask Elnara.

"El forgave Mas, but El hope Mas does not disappoint El again. If that's until it happens, don't expect a chance to fix it."

Zayan nodded steadily at Elnara's words. The man also promised not to let Elnara back down.

That afternoon they decided to get back together in the hope that their relationship could improve. Elnara made this decision with the consideration of Genta and Okta who had already opened the way of peace for them.

"Why are you here?" vika asked annoyed when she found Okta who was already leaning comfortably beside her car.

"Please wait for you, please bring Mas to the office." the request made Vika snort annoyed.

"Where is Mas's car and how did Mas get stranded on this campus?" ask Vika annoyed.

"Mas' car is borrowed by Zayan, he wants to straighten out the problem with El. Open your car door and take Mas to the office!" okta's orders seem to make Vika even more upset.

Although upset because of Okta's careless behavior, in the end Vika let Okta take over the driver's seat. The man is completely in control of his car at the moment and Vika can do nothing but follow the will of his best friend's sister.

"I'm supposed to take a cab, not even a hassle like this." Vika mengumel upset, but still can not do many things.

Okta just kept quiet listening to the nagging from Vika who thought it was funny. Seeing Vika frown makes Okta re-remind their memories once again.

"Vika," call Okta gently.

Vika turned her head, looking at Okta with a questioning look.

"It looks like El and Zayan have made up" Okta said, starting a normal conversation.

"Why do you do that? As Vika recalls, Mas was furious yesterday and forbade Mas Zayan to meet with Elnaram."

"Zayan has explained what happened, he has also gently met Papi and asked our blessing to explain what happened to El. If Papi has given permission, it means that Papi appreciates Zayan's efforts. I thought there was no harm in giving it a second chance."

Vika did not react anything because the girl clearly disagreed. Vika still hates Zayan for letting her best friend down and crying.

"Vika hope after this Mas Zayan does not make the cry El anymore. Although Vika hates Mas Zayan, but for the sake of El's happiness, inevitably Vika has to support them."

Okta just kept listening. There was actually something else he wanted to tell Vika. This is what makes him willing to wait for the heat of the girl in the campus parking lot.

"Can we repeat everything from the beginning?" ask Okta carefully after successfully gathering courage.

Vika turned her head, looking at the man beside her in shock. It never occurred to Vika that Okta would ask this.

To be honest, Vika wants to mend her relationship with Okta. However, he was still hesitant considering how they could end up like that.

Should Vika go back to repeating their past and fix what has both been broken?
