Chapter 15 - Gifts for Elnara

Elnara needs someone to be her confiding friend which is why she decides to tell Vika about her simple request to Zayan.

Hearing Elnara's story, of course, Vika was furious. He is not out of thought with the mind of Elnara who somehow loves Zayan too much, but clearly Zayan is not a good husband.

"Lo why the hell, El? Is that how you love your husband?" ask Vika annoyed.

"Gue hoped this could be a good path for me with Mas Zayan. I just want to have good memories with Mas Zayan, after this if indeed we can not be together again, I sincerely."

Vika took a deep breath, it was very difficult to talk to people who were in love.

"After that what? If you guys end up staying apart, I'm sure the good memories you mean are just bringing new wounds to you."

What Vika said was indeed true, but Elnara's heart only wanted to give 1 chance. It is undeniable that she hopes Zayan can fall in love with her and they don't have to part ways.

"Three more weeks, I have to fight three more weeks. Maybe my struggle for a month is still fruitful."

"Stop giving hope to yourself, you have only hurt your heart. I love you, El. I don't want to have to be hurt constantly, forget your husband and start opening your heart to others."

Elnara looked down sad, should she just give up? But the words of Micah who said he had many good memories with Zayan made Elnara want to feel the same way. Elnara only needs 1 small hope to continue this all.

"As a friend, I just want to say stop fighting and try to open your heart to Fian. She's still in love with you, she's really sincere in love with you."

"Gue only thinks of Fian as a friend, I can't think of Fian more than that. My feelings are only for Mas Zayan, even though my feelings are not different."

Hearing Elnara's words made Vika choose a silence. He could not force Elnara because of the feeling of not being forced. The only thing Vika can do is prepare her shoulders for where Elnara is leaning.

For the happiness of her best friend, Vika will pray that Elnara's struggle this time succeeds. Elnara is a good girl and deserves to be loved, it's just that Zayan is a stupid man who can't accept Elnara's sincere love.

Elnara tried to forget what she was with that day. He just wanted to enjoy the tormented time, even more so today was his birthday. Little hope at least Zayan remembers this special day because last year the man didn't even bother to say happy birthday.

Elnara wants to tell Zayan that today is his birthday. However, Elnara was still unprepared if she had to swallow the disappointment again.

"I have a meeting outside, probably until night." Zayan said to wake Elnara from her daydream.

Elnara had to swallow the bitter pill again because Zayan really did not remember her birthday. The man even spent his time in the office.

"Yes Mas" said Elnara slowly.

Zayan will be back to voice when Elnara's cell phone ring seized the attention of the two. Zayan took a quick glance and saw the incoming call from Fian. Elnara immediately asked Zayan for permission to pick up the phone.

"Hello, Fian!" elnara's greeting excitedly made Zayan avert his gaze.

"Is there an event tonight?"

"Nothing, Why, Fian?"

"You want to have dinner together? I'll ask your husband for permission."

"No, let me ask permission. It must be approved, you tell me where it is."

"Okay, I'll see you tonight."

The conversation of the two ended up making Zayan who was secretly listening instantly shift his gaze.

"Mas, El permits later tonight out yes same friend El. We'll have dinner at our restaurant, will ya?"

There was no other choice for Zayan than to agree to Elnara's request. Although he did not like to see the closeness of Elnara with the man named Fian, but unfortunately he could not voice his dislike. He doesn't want Elnara to misunderstand him and thinks he's jealous.

Elnara herself felt happy because at least she wouldn't be lonely tonight. Moreover, Vika was in his mother's hometown because the Grandpa died. Not to mention Papi and Mami who are still abroad because of work affairs, it is really grim birthday Elnara this year.

Fian prepared this dinner romantically. She wants to impress Elnara because Fian knows what Elnara's relationship is like with her husband.

Although it sounds evil, but Fian really prayed for Elnara to immediately separate from her husband. Fian wants to fight back his love.

"Thank you Fian, I can't believe you remember my birthday" said Elnara, who still admired the romantic decorations prepared by Fian.

"I always remember anything about you. Well, before we go home, I want to give you something." Said Fian while taking something from his suit pocket.

With a gentle smile Fian handed a beautiful necklace to Elnara who looked surprised.

"Fian, you shouldn't give me this. I can't accept this gift" Elnara refused carefully for fear of offending Fian.

"Please, don't refuse. Consider this a friendship necklace from me, if your husband is angry let me explain." Fian said in a voice pleading for Elnara to fall.

For the sake of appreciating Fian, Elnara would not want to accept the gift. He did not want to disappoint Fian who was so kind to him. Elnara will assume this necklace is a friendship necklace, after all she is not sure that she will continue to wear it.

Elsewhere, there is Zayan who remembers that today is Elnara's birthday. To wish Zayan a happy birthday it felt like he couldn't afford that's why he only prepared a small gift for Elnara. At least as a sign that she is really following Elnara's desire to be her real husband.

Zayan will leave this gift to Mr. Bambang, the driver who used to take Elnara. He slightly wished Elnara liked a simple gift from him.

"Sir, this is for Elnara. I still have meetings outside, so you can go home first." Zayan said, giving a small bag containing a gift box for Elnara.

"Okay sir, then I'll excuse you." Mr. Bambang received the bag and immediately got into the car leaving Zayan who had walked into the restaurant.

Zayan did not know if Micah secretly heard his words. Envy and disbelief prevailed over Micah, he would not let Elnara be pleased at the gift from Zayan.

Before Mr. Bambang pergo, with a sassy Micah into the car. The woman displayed an innocent face when she saw Mr. Bambang making her look shocked.

"Sorry sir, I'm in a hurry. Mr. Zayan asked me to take back what he entrusted, he said Mr. Zayan would like to give his own to his wife." Micah said with a plain face trying to convince Mr. Bambang that he was not lying.

Mr. Bambang who knew Micah as a Zayan secretary certainly believed the woman's words. Unsuspectingly Mr. Bambang gave the gift to Micah who cheered happily inwardly.

"Sorry El, you don't deserve this gift, I'm the one who deserves it because I'm the only one Zayan loves. I don't want you to be happy because you don't deserve it." Micah said in his heart he was satisfied that Elnara's gift was in his hand.
