Chapter 56 - Best Decision

"Let's split!" the words Vika spoke calmly even though her heart was rumbling in pain.

Okta turned her head in shock, she could not believe Vika would say that sentence.

"What do you mean?" asked Okta after managing to dampen her shock.

"Let's get divorced, won't we split up?" Vika spoke again in a calm tone.

"You know what you're talking about?"

"Know, I know. So, please make a decision immediately."

Okta was silent for a moment, still feeling disbelief in Vika's words. Okta let out a heavy sigh before finally returning to voice.

"We'll talk about this later, I hope you don't make rash decisions." Okta immediately left Vika who did not react to anything.

Throughout the day Okta keeps thinking what's wrong with Vika. According to Okta their relationship has been fine and even they just finished their honeymoon.

Vika only asked to separate without giving an explanation. During this time Vika never complained about anything, you could say their household life was fine. There was no compelling reason for Vika to decide to split up.

"Yes, I know and that's why I asked for a divorce!" vika replied coldly, she even changed her way of speaking.

"You're following me, Mom?" tanya Okta stared in disbelief at Vika.

"Why? Not good because that way I know the ugliness of Mas faster. So, no need to mince words we better get divorced!"

"Listen to Vika, you just misunderstood. Mas and Mira are just the past and we have nothing but friendship."

Vika stared flat at Okta because whatever the man said she would not believe.

"I don't care! My decision is final, I want us to divorce!" vika cried out to endure her heartache.

"You don't accept it, you're just carried away with emotion for a moment. After we calm down we talk about this matter again!" breaking up Okta who was preparing to leave when Vika again made a sound.

"Love ... What little did Mas not put my love for me?" ask Vika lirih.

Okta was quite surprised to hear Vika's question and that reaction was enough to be the answer to Vika's question. No need to be made clear because even just a speck of Okta did not put love on him, but just a sense of comfort because the man's heart was already filled by other women.

"We're divorced, Mom." Vika said again this time there was a pleading tone in her voice.

Okta still did not give any reaction, the man did not even turn his head to just look at Vika.

"I'm tired because I'm the only one in love here, while Mas is stuck with Mas's past. I know myself enough not to ask why Mas married me, so please let me go. Let me set my heart, my God, that's all I want."

Quiet long enough, a stifling silence. Until finally Okta turned around and looked at Vika, who was also looking at her desperately.

"Well, I'll grant your wish." After answering Vika's wish, the man immediately turned to leave the house.

Vika was sitting limp, the household she hoped would always be harmonious was now falling apart. The story is quite up here and Vika knows herself enough because during the wedding Okta has transformed into a dream husband. Vika does not ask for anything other than freedom, for other matters will be a back affair. Enough Okta to agree to her wishes and she'll step back from rearranging her life.
