Chapter 7 - Old Friends

Elnara was like a senior artist who could always act covering up her grief. After a night of crying, the girl returned to her usual activities. Prepare breakfast for Zayan then go to the campus.

Even on campus Elnara can laugh with Vika as usual. Elnara recalls her Mamma's advice, that whatever happens in the household is not public consumption. Quite in the room Elnara cried and after that her task was to smile as if her life was happy.

However, Vika who knew Elnara for many years certainly could not be lied to. Despite knowing there was something Elnara was hiding, Vika chose to be quiet and act as usual.

"El, did you call Fian?" vika asked opened the conversation.

"Geez, I forgot Vika! I'll just chat with the guy first." Elnara patted the jidat then hurriedly sent a message to Fian.

"Take El, let's hangout together."

"Yes I chat, we meet at a cafe near the campus." Said Elnara while showing the contents of her message to Fian.

"Yeah, I'm hungry, we're having lunch." In a hurry, Vika pulls Elnara's hand and takes her friend to the parking lot.

Elnara is not allowed to bring a car because that's why Vika as a loyal friend always take Elnara to campus.

It wasn't long before Fian came alone. After 1 year of not meeting Elnara thought her best friend changed a lot. For example, it looks more mature in office clothes.

"Hi, old girls don't see you guys getting any prettier." Sapa Fian with his characteristic rancid, did not forget the man patted the head slowly Elnara and Vika.

"Obviously I'm getting prettier" said Vika confidently.

"It's not the more beautiful you are, but my El is the more beautiful." Fian now sits next to Elnara.

"Hopefully-dare, man, I already have a handler." Vika's words inviting laughter from Fian made the girl hit Fian's head in annoyance.

"Stop, I don't want you guys to make a fuss. Mending now we eat." As usual Elnara will always be an intermediary between Vika and Fian who often quarrel.

Both Vika and Fian immediately shut their mouths. I don't know why they always couldn't fight Elnara if the girl was being serious like this.

All three enjoy lunch while telling stories about what they passed during the past 1 year.

In silence Fian always noticed the beautiful face of Elnara when telling stories. To be honest, Fian was heartbroken when he found out Elnara was married. However, the man was trying to look fine. She doesn't want Elnara to feel awkward and their relationship ends up straining.

"El, if you had known until this moment I could never have missed you" Fian said inwardly as he continued to stare at Elnara.

It may sound evil, but in Fian's heart hope that Elnara's marriage doesn't end happily. Fian hoped that someday Elnara would be his.

Vika who saw that was sad, she knew what Fian's struggle in getting Elnara's heart was like even though it had to end in vain. Elnara has never had more feelings for Fian than feelings for a friend.

Elnara herself knows that Fian loves her, but Elnara cannot force her heart to accept Fian's love. Elnara could give nothing more to Fian than friendship.

On the other hand, Almira felt that something had changed from Elnara. During these 1 year Almira felt her daughter was getting further away. It was as if something was blocking Elnara, but until this second Almira had no idea what had actually happened.

As a mother, Almira certainly misses how spoiled and sweet Elnara has been. Almira misses her daughter who always whines to be hugged and pampered.

"Why, baby?" genta asked after hearing Almira who had recently looked uneasy.

"Kangen El, Mas. I want to see El, but why is she so hard to find?" almira said looking down.

"Let's call El, yeah. He said he had a lot of college assignments, he also built an online shop business."

Genta did feel that as well, but he couldn't do much. He promised not to interfere in his daughter's household. All this time Genta assumed as long as Elnara did not come crying to him, then all was well.

Genta believes that Zayan will not dare to hurt his daughter. Zayan's life and his family are in the hands of Genta, if his son-in-law dares to hurt Elnara, then Genta ensures Zayan's life will suffer.

"We pray that El is always good and happy. Later Mas asked Zayan and El to stay here, don't be sad anymore." Genta gently embraced Almira, giving calm to his beloved wife.

"I always pray that El can be loved as Mas loves me. El was very gentle, so he should have received such great love from Zayan."

Okta just arrived at Zayan's office, intending to visit his best friend. However, he was struck by the figure of Micah sitting on the secretary seat. Okta wondered since when did Micah become Zayan's secretary?

"What are you doing here?" okta asked cynically as soon as she arrived before Micah.

Micah looked at Okta in surprise, not expecting Okta to still be friendly with Zayan.

"Octa? I'm Zayan's new secretary. You want to meet Zayan? I called Zayan first, he didn't say there would be guests."

Micah looked nervously at Okta who seemed to hate her so much. Okta is a witness to Zayan and Micah's love journey that ends in vain.

Regardless of Micah contacting Zayan, Okta immediately opened the door of her friend's room without permission. Zayan turned his head and looked surprised by Okta's presence.

"When did she become secretary?" ask Okta impatiently.

"Close the door, Okta." Zayan spoke calmly as if there was nothing to worry about.

"No need, let him hear what I want to say!" Okta answered rudely, the man still standing in front of the door accidentally opened the door of Zayan's room.

"What do you want to say?" zayan asked casually not paying any heed to Okta's angry expression.

"You can make him a secretary! You forget who that girl is?"

"There's nothing wrong with him being my secretary. Professional Okta, I don't care who he is as long as he works well he can work with me."

"Nothing wrong you say? You forget he's your beloved ex who doesn't know himself!"

"Oct!" Zayan stared flatly at Okta who kept shouting furiously.

"If I knew your relationship well, you don't think he'd be hurt? He must be thinking things out because you are working with your ex! I'm sure he's trying to get close to you again."

"Okta enough! We're talking about both of us!" Zayan immediately stood in front of Okta. The man intended to bring Okta into the room and speak four eyes.

"Lo why the hell so agitated? He no longer knows your status!" accuse Okta of being on target.

"What status?" Micah who had been observing had finally opened his voice.

"Lo don't know, Zayan is married. I repeat once again, Zayan already me.ni.kah!" Okta replied deliberately suppressing the word marriage to make Micah aware.

"Married?"
