Chapter 58 - All Happiness

Vika and Mbah Sum looked at each other, both busy with their respective thoughts. Vika did not understand what she was really feeling. Mbah Sum immediately helped Vika back to her room and prepared a warm tea for the woman.

"Mbak Vika .. It looks like Mama got pregnant ...." Babah Sum whispers a glass of warm tea.

Vika looked surprised, she did not expect with Mbah Sum's guess. All this time she had not felt any change and it was very unlikely that she was pregnant because Okta was always on her guard.

"Who is pregnant?" ask Windi who just arrived.

Vika and Mbah Sum turned their heads in shock, they thought Windi was only until noon.

"That's Miss Windi, it looks like Miss Vika is pregnant. It's still my only shot, better get checked out soon."

Windi looked questioningly at Vika who looked increasingly pale. If her sister is pregnant, this is both good news and bad news.

Windi approached Vika and hugged her sister, trying to calm the anxious-looking Vika.

"Don't worry, Brother is here. Whatever happens we face together."

Vika was crying, to be honest she wasn't ready for this. If she had been pregnant while she was Okta's wife, it would have been fine.

Elsewhere, Okta looks pensive. Somehow she was worried about Vika and her mind was always on that woman. Deep down Okta doesn't want Vika to go far and can't find her.

"Dream again?" zayan asked when he found Okta sitting alone.

Okta let out a tired sigh, "my mind is again screwed."

"Your ex-wife?" ask Zayan on target.

"Yes, I'm worried about him." Okta answered honestly without trying to cover up her feelings.

"Why are you worried? Is he sick or what?" ask Zayan again.

"He moved to his parents' hometown. I don't know what made me this sad."

"You love your ex-wife?" for a moment Okta was stunned to hear a question from Zayan.

"Gue .. don't know," Okta replied hesitantly.

To be honest Okta had no idea what had happened to her lately. She still feels her feelings for Vika.

"If love, why is it released? You know the risk of all this? It's possible that he'll meet another man and in the end you'll just foam in regret."

Thinking Vika will meet another man and then start forgetting about him makes Okta even more worried. The man hurried away leaving Zayan who could only stare at the departure of his best friend.

Okta meets Elnara, intending to force the girl to tell her where Vika is.

"El, please be honest with Mas where is Vika?" ask Okta who invited laughter from Elnara.

"Why did you become like this? Never mind, don't find out anything about Vika." Said Elnara shaking her hand.

"Mas is worried about her, please tell me where she is!" pinta Okta again.

"Mas no need to worry, there is already Miss Windi who guards and accompanies Vika. What I need to worry about is myself Mas's starting to mess up."

Elnara rushes away before Okta again urges her. He was afraid that if Okta kept asking and in the end he would be devastated.

Vika just finished checking herself in the midwife who was not far from her old house. Knowing that there is a figure that is growing in his stomach makes Vika's feelings gamang.

Months ago Vika was looking forward to a moment like this which was finally broken by Okta who said she was not ready to have children. Now, this happy news actually made Vika confused.

"Vika," calls Windi who just entered Vika's room.

The woman approached the younger brother who was lying weakly on the bed. The midwife said Vika's pregnancy was very vulnerable and risky which is why she should not be stressed.

"How do you feel?" ask Windi.

Vika shook her head weakly, the woman looked so fragile and looked pitiful.

"Vika doesn't know what to do, sister. Does Vika have to be happy or sad?" Windi looked sadly at Vika who came back crying.

Windi knew this was very hard for Vika considering that she had just been widowed and now she had to be slapped with the fact of her pregnancy.

Vika overshadowed many fears of the days she lived later. About how the fate of his son would be? Whether Okta will accept this child or not given the man is not ready to have children.

Many things are scary for Vika, she is still not ready to face her life after this. Vika does not matter if rejected, but obviously he will not be okay if someday his son will be rejected by his own father.

What should he do later? inner Vika wondered.
