Dew thread wet the window glass. The sun peeked shamefully from behind the branches of the angsana tree slowly crashing cloudy that since last night lay above the sky of Bogor.
Renjani opened the room window, cold air instantly burst into the room. Renjani breathed in the air greedily and circulated the view to the villa courtyard. The eyes of Renjani are spoiled by this sight every day. At least this can make Renjani an excuse to stay here compared to the view of the skyscrapers he saw in the apartment.
If you miss it like a dewdrop, Renjani will not be tormented. One touch miss it must be instantly lost. Unfortunately longing is like an ink stain on a shirt, difficult to remove even though it has been rubbed repeatedly.
Renjani must not miss Kelana, she must get used to her new life. Although he had prepared himself to lose Kelana but in fact if it had happened, Renjani still not used to it. Renjani can't lie to herself that she's left Kelana. But the pain of Kelana's abandonment that day was much greater that's why Renjani chose to leave.
"Where's the uncle going?" Renjani runs out into the yard to see Edi riding a motorcycle.
Edi stopped his bike turning to Renjani, "want to go to the market, want to drop something?"
"Your Uncle's fruit, can't you?"
"May, be noted so that I do not forget."
"Wait a minute." Renjani returns to her room to take note of the fruits and vegetables she wants to eat.
After finishing Renjani gave the note to Edi.
"Auntie didn't come to the market?"
"No, I usually go to the market, Auntie cooks."
Renjani thanked Edi. Among her grief, Renjani is lucky to be reunited with Edi and Tumi who treat her like a child. They never have children but can be good parents.
Renjani stepped into the kitchen, she smelled the aroma of cooking from there. Tumi must be cooking something. Renjani almost never cooks because Tumi always does it first.
"What kind of cooking is Bi?"
"Eh, you're awake." Tumi reviewed the smile seeing Renjani approach him. "Do you try?" He feeds a piece of fried chicken to Renjani.
"That's so good, I never eat fried chicken like this Bi." Renjani said not too clear, his mouth was full of meat and chicken skin that spread a savory taste once it touched the surface of his tongue.
"Oh yeah? this makes it easy, you know, the garlic fried together with the chicken becomes more savory."
"Bi Tumi cooks a lot, what's the show?"
"No event, who has a villa to come today, he always asked for onion fried chicken if he came here."
"No wonder it's so good."
"Oh yes Re, if you want to take a walk around here, you can use the bike next to the villa, sports early in the morning is good for you."
"Can I borrow it?"
"May, than you bosen in the room continue."
Renjani helps Tumi as much as possible because his cooking ability is certainly far below. Renjani can only cook simple dishes like the ones he used to serve Kelana.
"Udah, just wait for some materials purchased the same Uncle."
"If so I want to walk around here ya Bi."
"Yes, watch out for Re not to fall." Tumi half-screamed from the kitchen at Renjani who had already run to the side of the villa.
Renjani pedals bicycles on the streets around the villa. There are many flowers planted by Edi around so that Renjani will not be easily bored even though cycling alone.
Renjani paused for a moment to let the morning sun hit her body. The wind blew shaking the leaves and hair Renjani who was allowed to decompose.
"Lumayan dryness." Renjani sits on the gazebo while enjoying the view this morning. He pulled out a cell phone to call Manda.
"Hello Ma'am."
Renjani smiles, Manda always answers the phone on the first ring.
"Please send us a photo of our new novel, it's done printing everything right?"
"Already Ma'am, a week ago Mr. Aji himself who drove him to the office, he also met Kak Kelana."
Hearing Kelana's name makes Renjani feel something strange. It's only been a week, maybe after Renjani will get used to living without Kelana.
"Kak Kelana's condition is really messed up Ma'am, he does not look like Kak Kelana, his face is dull, his appearance is also disheveled, he is very worried about Mrs Rere."
Renjani smiled bitterly, why Kelana worried about him when he himself chose Elara.
"And sorry Ma'am, I didn't accidentally tell Kak Kelana that Mbak Rere called."
"I've guessed that you must have slipped." Renjani knows very well that Manda can at least lie. It used to be very beneficial to him but now Renjani was worried, fortunately he did not tell his whereabouts now.
"Kak Kelana asked me to apologize, Kelana hoped Mbak Rere to take good care of himself, he will continue to look for Mrs Rere."
"Now I will focus on myself and Asmara Publishing, hopefully you and the others will still be at home working with me."
"Of course Mommy, we'll fight together."
"Thank you."
"Please take care of yourself Ms. Rere, I'll send her photos to the email."
Renjani disconnected, her gaze glaring towards the sky. The cloud began to move away revealing a beautiful blue sky. Cloudy is not always there, surely the sadness of Renjani will also soon end replaced by laughter of happiness.
When Renjani returned he saw a car parked in front of the villa. Maybe the villa owner that Tumi said had come.
"That's how early he came." Renjani rests her bike against the cypress tree next to the villa and enters the kitchen.
"Whose villa has come with Bi?" Renjani lowered her voice.
"Udah Re, he's on the second floor, we'll have breakfast together soon."
"I'm ashamed ah Bi, I ate in my room."
"That's okay, he asked you to eat together."
"If so I take a shower first Bi, dry abis riding a bike."
Renjani heard the twang of the piano from the second floor, fortunately he knew that the villa owner had arrived. If not, maybe Renjani will suspect there is a ghost on the second floor because of the sudden sound of the piano.
Cycling will be Renjani's favorite sport during his stay here because he had only briefly traveled around the villa, he was already sweating. Do not lift weights or run as Kelana taught.
Renjani noticed her reflection in the mirror and felt her stomach, "why is it still flat, you're 6 weeks old now."
Renjani still remains slim, she can not wait to see her stomach bulging like pregnant women in general.
After bathing and changing clothes Renjani out of the room, his stomach was rumbling to be filled. Renjani did not even have time to dry her hair, she wrapped her head in a towel. He would dry his hair after eating.
"Brains huh?"
"Cock you here?" Spontaneous asking.
"So you rented this villa?"
"This is your villa?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Renjani gawked, he thought the owner of this villa was an elderly businessman who always vacationed to a quiet place after a busy week of work. But it turns out this villa belongs to Devin—orang Renjani knows. Renjani does not think that this villa belongs to Devin at all.
"All the artists know you're gone but I didn't know you were here."
Kelana did hide the departure of Renjani but the news so quickly spread, only they kept it unknown to the media.
"Devin, please don't tell anyone that I'm here especially Kelana." Renjani panics, she doesn't want Kelana to know she's here.
"Why, he's been having a hard time since you left."
"I can't tell you the details but I beg you, don't tell anyone."
"All right." Devin flicked his shoulders despite actually being curious as to what happened between Kelana and Renjani.
Every weekend Devin visited and spent the night in the villa. Devin's busy schedule makes it take time to get away from the hustle and bustle of Jakarta.
Various dishes are served on the table. The moment Devin waited the most every time he came here was to eat with Tumi and Edi while chatting lightly. Not a conversation about the piano, an artist scandal let alone a job.
"Bi Tumi did not say that the woman who rented this villa was called Renjani." Devin sat down beside Edi.
"Why Devin?" Tumi poured water for Devin.
"Prophe people I know, although not familiar but we often meet." Devin smiled broadly at Renjani who was sitting right in front of him.
"Oh yeah? what a coincidence." Tumi is shocked to learn that Renjani and Devin know each other.
"I've always wanted to talk to you but whenever there's a chance, Kelana must have kept you away from me, she's a possessive husband."
"I'm sorry about that." Renjani does not realize that Kelana always keeps her away from Devin. Kelana is only possessive but can not keep the feelings of Renjani well. What's the point of being possessive.
"Because you're here, we can talk more."
Renjani nodded slowly with a faint smile. This was a shocking encounter for Renjani. He thought this villa was the perfect place to hide but it turns out he was met with Kelana's friends.
Renjani does not know if she can trust Devin to keep her secret. It seems like Devin is quite familiar with Kelana, they often do one-stage collaborations. Even in some of Kelana's songs, her piano instruments were played by Devin.
******
Although it has been a week living in the villa but Renjani never went up to the second floor because Tumi said he should only be on the first floor. The second floor is Devin's music studio. There is a piano in the middle of the room. The walls are decorated by piano scorers and world-renowned pianists such as Franz Schubert, Alexander Scriabin to Yiruma.
After breakfast, Devin takes Renjani to his music studio. Devin showed me the collection of musical instruments he had in the studio.
"You won't be surprised because Kelana's musical instrument is much more complete." Tukas Devin's.
"Yes, he loves music." Renjani recalled how stressed Kelana was when she suffered a shoulder injury, she could not play music for two weeks. Afterwards he played the piano with one hand.
"Can you play the piano?" Ask Devin.
"Kelana used to teach me how to play the piano but the best thing I could do was Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." Renjani chuckles at the end of her sentence.
Devin laughed, instead of ridiculing but he felt Renjani was adorable. No wonder if all this time Kelana always keep Renjani from other men.
"Wanna try?" Devin invites Renjani to sit down.
"I forgot a bit." Renjani hesitated, although Kelana said playing the piano is easier than the violin but according to Renjani, playing the piano is not that easy.
Jemari Renjani began to press the piano keys, initially the tempo of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star song was a bit slow but the longer Renjani looked confident. Devin clapped his hands together with the tempo of the song, his smile sparkling to see Renjani playing the piano.
Tumi's arrival stops Renjani who is about to finish her song.
"So Uncle took the coconut behind the house, the water for you, good for pregnant women." Tumi thrust a glass of head water at Renjani.
Devin is stunned to hear Tumi's words, Renjani is pregnant?
"Take a drink." Tumi also placed pieces of apples and pears on the table for Renjani and Devin.
"Thank you Bi." Renjani sipped the coconut water up to half a glass.
"You pregnant?" Devin asked when Tumi was gone.
"Yes." Yeah."
"Why did you go when you were pregnant."
Renjani is silent, she does not want to tell Devin the real reason. He can tell it to Tumi but not to Devin who is Kelana's friend. Friendship of fellow artists is not like ordinary people, if you know the ugliness of other artists, they will drop each other. Although Kelana has hurt Renjani but Renjani does not want to do the same. Renjani does not want anyone to take advantage of this situation to bring down Kelana.
"If you know, Kelana is always planning her future and the child isn't on her plan list, so I'd better go."
"It's not because of Kelana's ex-boyfriend Elara?"
"No, it's my own decision."
"You're gonna raise that kid without Dad?"
Renjani never thought his future would be like this, but since it had already happened then he could definitely do it. God has chosen Renjani to bear this test, which means that Renjani can be a mother and father to her child.
"I can do it." Renjani smiled, pretending to be tough in front of Devin. He doesn't like to look weak in front of others.
"May you stay here." Devin is grateful that Renjani lives here, he can guarantee that Renjani will be in his villa.
Devin devours the apple that Tumi brought for them, he also gives it to Renjani.
"By the way your Twinkle Twinkle Little Star song is good."
"Don't lie."
"Seriously."
Renjani laughed, she did not feel the piano play was good. Devin must be just talking.
"I hope you're always happy."
Renjani turns her head at Devin, probably because of their familiar age. From the first moment of meeting, Devin did look good. It's just that Renjani can't get to know Devin any further.
