Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects

Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 2| DINNER DISASTER

“Don't joke, Pa!”

Selena jerked Robin's hand as the man was about to touch her. Selena's eyes are heating up. He felt a great fear at every breath of his roaring.

“Selena, help Papa this time only. Company debt has swelled, the last three months have not paid. We would really fall into poverty if the company went bankrupt. You may not be able to act anymore ..” Robin's tears melted along with her broken heart seeing her daughter hit so hard by the circumstances.

Lilian, mama Selena, has been sobbing ever since. His family's fate is really on the edge now.

“Try to meet first with Ocean—”

“Papa do not understand ... will never understand.” Selena held her head in frustration, as if a weight as heavy as a mountain was falling on her shoulders. “Ocean—” Even when mentioning that name, Selena's tongue feels muddy. “I don't want to meet him. To death don't want to!”

Only Lilian's slow stuffing could be heard in the big room next. Robin looked at her daughter cluelessly, while Selena seemed to express her hatred for Ocean through the look in her eyes.

“However, I have a lover, Pa. Felix—”

“Forget that useless youth, Selena! How many times has Papa said if he was just being a pramalu.” Robin glared sharply, then stood up with a hardened face. “Tonight we're going to the Arkananta family home. Wear your best clothes. You should be able to take Ocean's heart any way!”

Finals. Robin passed by with wide strides, leaving Selena who exclaimed in disbelief. Her tears are sliding. And when Selena turned to her mother for a plea, only a small, weak slit she got.

No one else can help him.

...****...

“Welcome.”

A friendly-faced woman welcomes in the doorway as Selena, Robin, and Lilian arrive at the Arkananta family mansion. The woman's smile grew, her eyes sparkling as if she really liked the arrival of her guests. With a long dress that dangles beautifully, the appearance of the woman exudes a luxurious and graceful impression is extraordinary.

“Adira!” Lilian hugged the woman warmly, like an old friend. “And we are one city, but rarely meet.”

Adira, Ocean's mother, chuckled, rubbing Lilian's shoulder. “Because you're always busy, Lili. Come after this we meet more often.”

In contrast to their husband who is notorious for having a bad relationship, competing to prove whose company is better, Adira and Lilian are best friends. They met at a golf club several times. Forgetting about their husband's feud, the two middle-aged women felt a match for each other.

“Come, please come in.” Adira briefly looked at Selena, smiling gently afterwards, before then leading them towards the dining table. Dinner will start soon.

What Adira did not realize, Selena had moved a few times, wanting to escape from there. Setting foot in Arkananta's house made her feel like she was on the edge of a cliff, once a gust of wind hit her, Selena was sure she would be rolled down. Unfortunately, as if knowing what her daughter was feeling, Robin pushed Selena slowly on the shoulder, telling her to walk through the eyes.

While making a prayer so that Ocean was not present in the dinner, whether dying or languishing in the stomach of a crocodile, Selena walked staggering towards the dining room. Really, Selena did not know what emotions would come to her mind when she saw Ocean.

“Robin .... Welcome to.” Galang Arkanata, Ocean's father, stood up from his seat, inviting guests to sit on the chair that had been prepared with his heavy voice.

Selena ventured to raise her face, peek over her papa's shoulder, and she almost jumped in delight when she did not find Ocean among the people sitting around the large dining table. God is so good—

“For a long time, Selena.”

The deg!

That sound. Selena froze for a moment, and then her head moved, looking to the left. Selena's heart seemed to be splattered on the floor when the face she desperately tried to forget was now plastered in front of her eyes. And that damn grin .... Selena squeezes the dress.

“Should I pull up a chair for you?” Ocean asked in an annoying voice, making Selena spontaneously snort.

“I'd rather stand to the apocalypse than receive kindness from you.” Selena whispered sharply, her eyes filled with passionate emotions.

“Good. I'm also just a pleasantries.” Ocean passed by just like that, sitting next to one of his elder brothers.

Selena followed after cursing without a sound. She positioned herself beside her papa with her face folded.

The servants with agile movements started pouring drinks. Adira was busy getting food for the guests. The table was crowded with conversation. Ocean's two older brothers and his wife are fun people. While Galang seemed to enjoy small talk with Robin, they occasionally laughed. Lilian was so, she easily blends in, looks exciting talking about the latest fashion. There, the one that looked the most uncomfortable was Selena. He simply responded to everything with an awkward smile or a small nod. When she accidentally stared at Ocean sitting right across from her desk, Selena would grieve silently.

“Alright, it seems like it's time we talked about something more serious, right?” Galang's speech was like being the command of the dining table was becoming silent. Everyone, except Ocean and Selena, paid close attention to the man. “Wedding Ocean and Selena .. wouldn't it be better if implemented as soon as possible?”

Selena felt a lesion from her stomach to her throat. His hand gripped the chair firmly. With a lowered position, Selena tried to prepare herself to express her objections.

“What do you think, Ocean?” Galang's gaze was entirely on his youngest son.

Ocean stopped the movement of his hand on the glass, looking back at his father with a serene look in his eyes. “Wedding, huh? I'm not sure I can do it. And I can guarantee that Selena will agree with me. If both brides-to-be don't want to do it, shouldn't the two-family meeting stop at dinner tonight, Dad?” Ocean's voice sounded very calm. He seemed to have gotten used to this kind of situation.

Silence enveloped the dining room. Galang's facial features did not change much, but tension began to be felt between them. “What did my son, Selena, say?”

Getting that sudden question, Selena gasped a little. He stared alternately at Ocean and Galang, then steadied himself to speak up. “For this time, I have no reason to disagree with your son, Mr. Arkananta.”

Ocean smiled faintly without even looking at Selena.

“I'm sure, all the women who are offered to marry your youngest son will answer the same. No sane person would want to be the wife of a dickhead like Ocean.”

Robin choked on the white water hearing his daughter's rude remarks. Lilian froze with cold hands. What nonsense is going on right now?

“Then why are you declaring love to a jerk-off like me, Selena?” Ocean was criss-crossed, still looking relaxed with his trademark grin. “You even gave me—”

“Shut your mouth, Ocean!” Selena exclaimed with angry feelings mixed with rage. The embarrassing incident was like a crack, scrambling to fill his mind.

Like watching a drama, everyone at the dinner table was intermittently shocked, intermittently gawking, then moping with a smile.

“You're starting—”

“Said shut up, Fuck!” Selena's getting on black. If only the fate of her father's company did not depend on La Sky Land, it was certain that Selena would throw a fork at Ocean's head.

“Hahaha ..”

The laughter brought everyone's gaze to Arkananta. The middle-aged man who was still quite gallant laughed loosely until his eyes narrowed. Not yet there, Galang's next speech managed to make half of Selena's life fly and Ocean widened his eyes.

“Well, there's no doubt the suitability of the two of you. Selena will get her love, and Ocean will get a beautiful wife. The wedding will be in one month. Finals!”
