Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 29| TROUBLEMAKER AT OCEAN HOUSE

“So it's still dirty, Ocean. Well, when you always yell angry if I did it.” Selena pointed to the floor area still left behind thin dust, casually eating leather nuts while lying on the sofa.

Sundays. Ocean's schedule of cooking and cleaning the house. This afternoon they returned from Labuan Bajo. Resting for a while, Ocean finally did his job after Selena gave a long nag, talking about responsibility and honor as a man.

And now, with the vacuum cleaner in hand, Ocean moved the object to the area that Selena pointed to without saying much.

“Why aren't you excited? Is your energy up after a day of sightseeing with Agatha yesterday?” Selena grunts quietly. “ Anyway I want oxtail soup and fried chicken as dinner menu. That means, in two hours everything should be ready.” Selena went back to eating her nuts, trying to push away Agatha's face that suddenly flashed in her mind.

“By acting this way, it seems like you didn't take into account what I'm going to do to you the next six days, Selena.”

Ocean's calm speech managed to make Selena jerk. Shit, revenge alone is met with a more ruthless threat.

The house bell that reads makes the curse of Selena who has reached the tip of the tongue become swallowed just like that. Leaving the vacuum cleaner beside the sofa, Ocean stepped in to see who was visiting their home.

And Ocean's eyes widened for a second after opening the door, finding a middle-aged woman in a long dress, carrying a luxurious bag. “Mother? Is there any here?”

Mammy? Like she had just been struck by lightning, Selena hurriedly tidied up her messy appearance. Her mother-in-law could hang if she saw Selena's position earlier; one foot up on the back of the sofa and the hair was fussy. Especially if Adira finds out she is lazing around, while her son is busy cleaning some houses, Selena could be kicked from the house right now.

At the doorstep, Adira with her sour face snorted softly. “Why again. Your father pisses me off because of his stubbornness.” Adira hissing. “Keep out of the door, Ocean.”

Ocean gasped, it seemed like he knew the purpose of Adira coming to his house. “Wait first—”

Ocean's words were cut because Adira had already pushed him, making the entrance wider. Selena had put on her best smile, preparing to welcome her mother-in-law.

“Selena!” Adira hugged Selena warmly, rubbing her broken hair.

“What is this, why is Mom getting so beautiful? Wow, I'm really insecure now.” Selena laughed, rubbing Adira's back.

“You are so sweet ...” Adira overreacted by pretending to wipe the edge of her eyes. “Tonight let's have fun, Selena. I'll stay here.”

“M-stay?!” Unable to resist, Selena spontaneously exclaimed. In an instant his warm face was replaced by a stark look of shock.

Adira laughs because of her daughter-in-law's reaction. “I thought you'd be excited, Selena.”

Wait, actually what's going on here. Compared to Ocean's mother who had at will deflected the intent of one's expression, there was a much more pressing matter than that. Stay on? Selena turned her head towards Ocean with a jumbled look, asking him to immediately save the situation.

For God's sake, there are only two rooms in the house. Everything will fall apart with the presence of Ocean's mother. Moreover, if Adira realizes they are sleeping separately, this already miserable household might turn the level into a tragedy.

“Don't behave like this, Mother. You are no longer a pair of unstable teenagers who run away every time they fight. Talk about your problems with a cool head, act like an adult.” Ocean finally opened his voice. “Come, let me take you home.”

“No.” Adira threw her body onto the sofa with pursed lips. “I'm so sick of seeing your father's annoying face, Ocean. Anyway Mom will stay here.”

Ocean restores her hair a little frustrated. “Mother, please don't put it this way.”

“What is this? Your wife doesn't mind. Isn't that right, Selena?”

Starting today, Selena puts Adira's big smile as the second number of something she wants to erase from her life, certainly after Ocean's face. It would be strange and heartless if Selena shook her head, she would be labeled as a selfless daughter-in-law.

As if there was a strong rope pulling her head, Selena heavily nodded with a stiff smile imprinted on her face. Maybe it was time for Selena to say goodbye to her life.

Ocean closed his eyes. There's nothing more they can do.

“Mom can shower first if you want to stay here. Lately Selena is a bit sensitive with hygiene.”

After a brief snort, Adira galloped towards the bathroom, avoiding arguing with her son. It could be bad if Ocean changed his mind. Adira obviously does not want to stay at the hotel.

Along with the closed bathroom door, Ocean immediately moved, running towards Selena's room. There's a lot they have to do.

“Rushing, Selena. Move all your stuff to my room.”

With a look like she wanted to cry, Selena caught up with Ocean. They are chased for time, having to move quickly before Adira comes out of the bathroom. Selena scooped up a pile of clothes, Ocean put the makeup and tools into the bag, then helped carry the clothes.

They ran towards the second floor, where Ocean's room was, with a mountain of clothes in hand. For the first time Selena complained about her hobby of shopping, a lot of clothes they had to move.

The third time they brought a pile of clothes and items, Selena's breath was already wheezing. He again complained about the laziness that bothered him to do sports. He really felt the effect now.

“Ocean—”

Bruk!

On the fifth rung, Selena's feet stumbled over the outstretched cloth. He fell on his stomach, slumped with his feet hitting the stairs many times until he fell on the floor. The clothes Selena was carrying were scattered everywhere.

“Gosh!” Ocean put down a large bag containing Selena's shoe collection, rushing to check on her condition. “Hold your screams, Selena. I can hear.”

Selena really wanted to slap Ocean now, her bastard nature was no longer helped. But inevitably, Selena smothers her mouth with her palm, enduring the pain. His knee was bruised, with blisters on several sides.

And what happened next, Selena almost let loosely shouted as Ocean lifted her body in one fell swoop. Selena felt her heart spread out along with her clothes. He held his breath as Ocean's swaying foot stepped.

Ocean dropped it on the sofa, briefly checked Selena's legs, then said, “Sit's there. I'll take care of the remaining items.”

Back busy, Ocean went up and down the stairs with various kinds of items in his hands. Move it agile and effective. Selena was not interested in seeing it. The white wall in front of him that was gleaming was exposed to the light of the lamp as if locking his eyes.

“Your head hit too?”

That question brought Selena back to “real world”, not to be left behind a trace of spirit on her face.

Ocean lowered his body to his knees in front of Selena, starting to open the medicine box. “Hold a minute.” Ocean began to clean the wound using alcohol.

Selena frowned, holding on to the shoulder of the sofa as she felt pain in her knee.

“Don't move, Selena, I have trouble cleaning it.”

Selena's emotions from the beginning were thin, so provoked. “You pressed him too hard. You think my skin is as thick as a rhinoceros?”

Ocean sighed, his patience being as vast as the ocean right now, not interested in responding to Selena's ridiculous remark. He put down alcohol and tissue, then switched to applying antiseptic ointment. Finally, cover it with a wound plaster.

“Ouch, how is this. Looks like I can't walk.” Selena stared at the plaster of wounds attached to her knees, rubbing excessively. “Then about your mother .. uh, I mean k-room .... How am I going to sleep tonight, Ocean?”

For a moment, Ocean stopped his activity of clearing the wound medicine, lifting his face. Finding the awkward-looking Selena, Ocean smirked faintly.

“How is it, Selena? Tonight, of course you should sleep in my room.”
