Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects

Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 34| LUNCH DISASTER

In Minneapolis, United States, there is the quietest room in the world. Anechoic chambers. The room was built in such a way that it became a soundproof room of a terrifying stage. The person inside the room could clearly hear even the softest breath, heart rate, bone sounds as it moved, even his own blood flow. It only took forty-five minutes for someone who had stayed there to lose his mind.

But for Selena, forty-five minutes is too long. In Ocean's room which was not as silent as the anechoic chamber, three minutes after Ocean hugged her, Selena was already feeling crazy. He was afraid that his crazy heartbeat would reach Ocean's ears, even as his breathing began to roar. He could not even move in the slightest despite wanting to escape right now.

“Selena?”

Ocean's raucous voice made Selena aghast, the stone that gagged her throat as if it was slowly falling. “K-why?”

“How now? The aliens are gone?”

If likened to a comic, above the head Selena must appear loading symbol. An alien? Is Selena living in the wrong genre?

“If not, keep hiding behind my arms. They won't find you.”

Selena's fantasy collapsed instantly. He was like being slammed into a sad reality that helped melt the butterflies that seemed to fly in Ocean's room. Selena should have been able to estimate it, so that when it slammed down like this she had made the runway safe.

“Sial, then why am I pounding? Even when he was drunk he played me.” Selena clucked, gently hitting Ocean's arm.

Despite her annoyance, Selena can't lie to herself that she likes her current position. The warmth that radiates through Ocean's arms and his regular rhythm of breathing makes Selena wish time would stop now. No Agatha, no Felix, no shitty shit. There is only Ocean.

Selena closed her eyes, saving each second of this moment. Selena wanted to put Ocean in a new space in the corner of her heart. It was not Ocean the heartless Perfect Casanova, but Ocean Arkananta, the most awesome shield he ever had.

“Borrow your arm in five minutes, Ocean. I want to sleep a little.”

...****...

“You don't want to wake up?” Selena exclaimed ferociously, ruffled her waist beside Ocean.

Ocean bellowed slowly, feeling his still-heavy head and his nauseous tummy.

“You had a meeting this morning, Ocean. Noah just called me. Grab a drink at the dinner table, I'll wake Felix up first.” When she turned around, this morning there was a lot she had to do. “Hah .. Are they five-year-old boys and I the nanny? Even my back still hurts from sleeping on the couch. I must have made a big sin in the past.”

Descending the steps while grumbling, Selena let out a long sigh as she opened the door of her room. Felix was still wrapped in the blanket, his sleep was so good.

“Build, Felix. Didn't you say you wanted to meet the brand manager?” Selena patted Felix's leg many times.

The man flinched.

“You want to get up or I flush with boiling water?” Selena's patience is running out.

“Five more minutes, Selena.” Felix replied in a hoarse voice, not seeming to intend to escape from his blanket.

Selena hissed, jumped in front of Felix, then pulled his shirt to make the man was forced to wake up. “Do not provoke my emotions, Felix.”

In this sitting position, facing Selena at close range, Felix smiled. Her hand then moved to hug Selena, pulling her closer. Felix's eyes were closed as the smell of the shampoo permeated his sense of smell. Rosemary. Fresh and special Selena.

“Good morning, Selena. It's been a long time since we've done a good morning hug like this.” Felix whispered, gently rubbing Selena's hair that was still half wet.

Selena rubbed her cheeks, somewhat uncomfortable with Felix's sudden embrace. “True too. There's been a lot of things changing lately.” Selena was pensive for a moment, feeling very guilty for rarely taking the time for Felix. Selena has been busy dealing with her sad feelings for some time, focusing her world on Ocean. “I've prepared breakfast ...”

“No, wait a minute. I really miss you.” Felix tightened his arms.

Now there's nothing Selena can do but stand still in her place, letting Felix shed his longing.

They were so immersed in each other's thoughts that they didn't realize Ocean was standing outside the room, stopping his steps for a moment when he wanted to go to the kitchen. He turned his head, looking at Selena and Felix who seemed to enjoy their togetherness.

Normally Ocean did not care much about the relationship of the two, yet this time he could not take his eyes off.

...****...

“Ah, she's still meeting apparently.” Selena puffed her cheeks in disappointment.

“Mrs Selena brought lunch to Pak Ocean?” ask Noah behind his desk.

Selena lifts the paper bag, showing Ocean's lunch. “I will wait then .... Hey, you got any free time, Noah? Let's go play something while waiting for Ocean. I'm quickly bored if I don't do anything.”

“If Mrs Selena asks, even though she is at war though I will always be willing to take time.” Noah said the joke with a serious face, making Selena laugh to see it. “What Mistress can play cards?”

“I even nicknamed Card Wizard when SMA for being too proficient, Noah.” Selena brushed her hair, bragging. “Although you're so sweet, I won't budge, yes. Prepare for your defeat.”

Noah laughed, giving a thumbs up. After picking up the card he used to play with other employees, Noah rushed after Selena who had first entered the Ocean room.

Sitting cross-legged on the floor, Noah is in charge of dividing the cards, while Selena prepares her compact powder in exchange for no powder. The basic rules of playing cards: the loser has to be covered in powder.

“You lost again. Come here, let me make a picture of dirt on your forehead.” Selena laughed loudly while dabbing her index finger on the compact powder.

Noah displayed a parched expression before finally advancing his face towards Selena.

“You want pictures of chicken or cat feces, Noah?” Selena was already busy applying powder to Noah's forehead, drawing something there.

“Chicken only small—”

Noah gasped slightly as the door of the room opened from outside. They turned their heads almost simultaneously, finding Ocean and Agatha on the doorstep. Agatha looked startled, in contrast to the Ocean that remained flat-footed.

“Ah, you're back.” Selena opened her voice first. “Have lunch?”

“Seeing you can play around, it looks like your work is done, Noah.” Ocean gives Noah a look of horror that makes the man shudder, realizing he will get scolded for leaving his job.

“I asked him to accompany me while waiting for you. Why are you so cruel to her?” Selena stared back cynically. “I asked if you had lunch or not.”

“Already.” Ocean answered short, casually stepping towards the long sofa, followed by Agatha behind him.

“Know so, I didn't bother bringing you lunch.” Selena clucking. “You haven't had lunch, ‘kan, Noah? Let's eat together.”

“Oh, since a long time I have wanted to taste the cuisine Nyo—nya ...” Noah gulped down the saliva as Ocean gave him a sharp glint, like he was skinning it. “No need, Mistress. I eat alone later.”

“What doesn't need? I purposely brought for two servings. Wait a minute.” Selena was very excited to take out the lunchbox from the paper bag, arranging it in front of Noah to make him amazed.

“I still need to talk about work with Agatha, you guys can have lunch outdoors.”

Ocean's words managed to wipe out the spirit on Selena's face. “If you want to talk about something, just talk. Noah and I will eat noiselessly.”

Ocean sighed softly, his attention still centered on two people who were like the middle of a picnic.

“Wah, chicken soup and shrimp flour. My mother often made it at home.” Noah clapped his cheery hands. She thanked him as Selena offered her the lunch box. “It feels really—uhuk!”

Noah spontaneously chokes a sense of haphazardness welcoming his tongue. He hurriedly shut his mouth, preventing food from coming out even though it seemed like he would not be able to swallow the food. Noah turned to Ocean, finding his boss still staring at him faithfully.

“Telan.” Ocean spoke without a sound, his gaze sharpened.

For the sake of seeing that, Noah swallowed the food round and round without chewing it first. It could be he who will be swallowed if he refutes Ocean's words. The question is, how can the boss always spend this food like God's torment? It's really unbelievable.

“E-good once, Mrs Selena ..” Noah smiles forced.

“You embarrassed me, Noah. I still need to learn again.” Selena shook her hands, laughing.

“Can we start, Ocean?” Agatha asked quietly, distracting Ocean.

Ocean nodded once.

“I will instantly make the interior design after hearing your opinion. I imagine about the contemporary design that does not let go of ‘khas’ Labuan Bajo. Foreign tourists, domestic tourists, do not they go there because they want to feel something authentic?”

“Kurasa all the hotels there also carry an authentic concept, Agatha.”

“Ah, sorry. Looks like I can't think clearly, the rest of last night's hangover.” Agatha was twitching clumsily, blaming her brain that today was suddenly not running as usual.

“I don't want this new hotel ‘cursed zaman’ although some traditional elements do need us to enter. The lobby section should look more striking, maybe we can add an elegant wall feature. I plan to make the winding staircase in the middle of the lobby an icon of the hotel. Make that ladder the most attention-grabbing object.” Ocean paused his words for a moment, thinking of something. “And we can also install small size transparent crystal chandeliers in the middle of the lounge ceiling, so that guests can see the star sprinkles while they relax. In this hotel I want to make a strong impression at first sight. Pearls at home komodo.”

Selena feeds the flour shrimp into her mouth, feeling an outrageous salty taste that makes her grimace. He and Noah were really like useless statues that only listened to their serious talk. Noah repeatedly wanted to vomit, which he then covered with a thud.

Nearly twenty minutes of non-stop discussion, Ocean rose to his feet as Selena finished cleaning the lunchbox. Selena immediately grabbed something in the paper bag, then walked towards the Ocean.

“Banana juice. I heard it's suitable to drink after a hangover.”

Ocean stared at Selena for a moment, before finally receiving the juice.

“I go home first then. Call me if you come home late.” Selena turned around, intending to chat for a while with Noah outside the room. But just a step away, Selena turned her head back as her hand was pulled by Ocean.

Ocean walked over, raised his hand towards Selena's cheek, then rubbed it gently. “You didn't clean the powder perfectly.”

There were three reactions in the room. Noah smelled a smile while covering his face, Selena who felt the heat radiating on his cheeks, and Agatha who clenched her hands as her eyes began to pushy.

Agatha realized the distance and Selena had gone too far.
