Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects

Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 38| RELEASING

Rumblings of applause and the crowd's exclamations echoed across the ceiling of the room, creating a bursting euphoria. Up ahead, the theater players hook hands, bow respectfully, then the blinds close slowly.

The Broadway show is over. The audience began to move out of the theater, snaking towards the exit that had been opened wide. Selena still faithfully sat in her chair, progressively lowering the black hat to cover her face. He will wait for the conducive state, just get out of there.

“Should the theater show be included in the list of wonders of the world. My mood is much better after watching it.” Selena smiled broadly, leaning on her back. “Sierra Boggess ... she was always amazing!”

It took Selena months to wait for this show. The tickets were sold in a matter of hours. Luckily, Liam is very reliable, Selena managed to obtain one ticket. And this theater show came at the right time, Selena is having bad days lately.

“Ah, I have to tell Ocean.” Selena grabbed her phone, typed a message on Ocean. He promised to pick up Selena when the show was over, saying it was dangerous to go home alone at night. “Padalaah I can take cab—”

The deg!

Selena's eye caught something. A familiar person was laughing in the row of chairs ahead. As Selena lost her heartbeat, the look in her eyes turned ponderous as the scene took away her entire temper, throwing her into a colourless world.

Felix. The man was joking with a woman. He clasped the woman's hand tightly, stepping past the nearly empty row of chairs. Felix was seen whispering something into the woman's ear, and then they laughed loosely. From Selena's point of view now, they looked like a couple who were being drunk on romance.

Sipping the saliva, Selena forced herself to stand up, then walked quickly, trying to compensate for their footsteps. As Felix and the woman walked out of the row of chairs, about to head for the exit, Selena confronted them while hiding her trembling hands.

“Oh, Selena? You're here.” Felix's tone of voice sounded calm. He did not even feel the need to bother letting go of his hand grip on the woman.

“Kau—” Selena tries to control her tongue which suddenly feels choked. “You watch the show too, Felix.”

“Yes, I enjoyed it.” Felix's face was still relaxed, as if he was chatting in a relaxed atmosphere as well.

“You should have told me we could go watch together. You, ‘kan, know I'm a Broadway fan.”

“I thought you didn't come because your shoulder was injured.”

Selena took a slow breath. “Then ... who is the woman you are with?” Selena's hands behind her back clenched tightly.

“Ah, meet, she's Ariana.” Felix turned his head towards the woman, smiling. “And you must have known Selena, Ari. There is no one who does not know Selena in this country.”

Ariana smiled kindly at Selena, introducing herself briefly.

Selena continues to persuade herself to act as normal as possible, driving away the bad thoughts that continue to fill her head.

“You must be a theater show fan too, Ariana.” Selena forced a smile. “You never introduced Ariana to me before, Felix. You guys just made friends?”

“No.” Felix's eyes looked more serious now. “I've known him for a long time. In recent months, Ari, who has always been by my side, has become a pleasant interlocutor, a place to shed the most comfortable feelings. He even accompanied me to do small things like buy clothes and watch movies at home.”

Selena froze, feeling that there were thousands of thorns stuck in her legs, making her unable to move.

Ignoring Selena's lifeless look, Felix said in a deeper voice, “Then we decided to date, Selena.”

Selena took a step back, her legs were unusually limp. What kind of shit is this?

By the consciousness that hit her so hard, the tears Selena was holding back finally shed. Selena has absolutely no right to blame Felix for what happened. Rather than feeling betrayed, feelings of guilt, disappointment with yourself are more concentrated. In some viewpoints, Felix's actions are completely understandable. In this relationship, Selena is more suitable to be said to be the villain.

“If you don't have anything to say anymore, I go.” Felix gently pulled Ariana's hand, leading her towards the exit.

The swift steps of Felix who was getting away made Selena stunned, fell sitting in the audience seat. He sobbed slowly, feeling his chest tight not playing.

What Selena doesn't know, Felix is more broken than anyone. He endured the entire pain, hiding the figure of his self that had been shattered by acting as if it was not injured enough. Felix is trying to erase Selena's name on every dream sheet he has written, letting her fuse together a future that is no longer the same.

Reaching the exit, Felix turned his head towards Selena, whispering, “Today, I completely let go of you, Selena. You can fly free now, as high as you want.”

...****...

The road is not too crowded tonight, Ocean cars can drive without a significant obstacle. Ocean's nimble hand moved the wheel, overtaking two cars at once. He was on his way to pick up Selena, after finishing work at the office.

The theater building was only two hundred meters away, Ocean's car speed was reduced when he saw the figure he knew so well on the bridge, the roadside. The figure was standing on his back against the highway, his one hand that was not clad in a sling arm holding on to the bridge barrier. There was no hat he always wore when he was in the crowd. I don't know what Selena's doing there.

Unable to stop her car carelessly, Ocean chooses to park the car in the courtyard of the theater building, then runs towards where she sees Selena.

Ocean slows down his run as he gets closer to Selena. His breathing was slightly wheezed, his hair was twitching in the night breeze.

“What are you doing here, Selena? I told you to wait in front of the theater.” Ocean sighed, taking a quick step towards Selena.

Selena looked slowly. The hue that always adorned his face was not left behind in the least.

When Ocean finally stood beside her, Selena turned her gaze to the expanse of the river with a torrent down there. His eyes look empty. Ocean soon realized something was happening before he got there.

“What do you think I am, Ocean?” Selena opened her voice, sounding hoarse.

Ocean did not reply, just staring at Selena.

“For so long I have always called you cruel, heartless, it turns out ... it turns out I am much worse than that.” Selena is back. His body trembled before he finally decays, sitting down while covering his face with his hands.

This pitiful sight brought Ocean down, pulling Selena into his arms. Selena's cry further broke as Ocean gently rubbed her hair, channeling warmly.

“Felix go, Ocean. And I'm the only one guilty here. I'm a bad guy ..”

Ocean sighed faintly, letting Selena spill her feelings. Felix has given up on his dream with Selena. He left without saying goodbye properly. Ocean did know the man was leaving Selena, but Ocean didn't think it would be this fast.

Seeing how Selena was so devastated, Ocean knew they were parting ways without pinning the label ‘well-’ on their long journey. An ending that no one ever expected.

"When the sun comes up, I'll make sure you're okay, Selena."
