Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects

Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 20| COUNT THE STARS

At two o'clock in the afternoon.

The ink porters who had crowded in front of a police station in a flash back boisterous, blitz glittering without pause, they rushed to the entrance that had been guarded by several officers. The person they were waiting for had been seen descending the stairs inside there, sunglasses still faithfully perched at the base of his nose.

Selena accompanied Ocean to the entrance of the police station after giving a statement for approximately three hours. Having had a bad relationship with the victim and the lack of CCTV at the scene made the process of giving information feel like interrogation.

Selena has tried her best, giving her testimony without a single thing she's hiding. Only, this morning, an anonymous account ignited a fire in the husk. He talks about Selena and Olivia's deteriorating relationship, a love triangle involving Felix.

Bluntly the anonymous wrote that it was possible that Selena and Olivia's enmity had not yet been resolved, they were only reconciled on the screen. Due to a problem unknown to others, Selena finally commits a criminal act against Olivia, then acts as if she is the first witness.

“How do you respond to the growing rumors now, Selena?”

“Is it true there are still unresolved issues between you and Olivia?”

“Please tell me a little how you can be the first witness of this case. Is it true that all the events that happened to Olivia Daisy were all planned by you?”

Journalists huddled in the way of Selena, slamming her like a starving man. Ocean and several officers had to exert their strength so that the reporters could not touch Selena. Both Selena and Ocean remained silent, continuing to try to reach a car that was still a few meters adrift.

Blank!

Selena gasped in shock as a raw egg floated up against her head, dirtying her hair. A fishy smell soon emanated, along with Selena who turned her guard down towards the group of women on the edge of the parking lot. For a moment, the questions of the reporters came to a halt, deftly pointing the camera at the women who seemed to be fans of Olivia Daisy. Today's show feels more and more interesting to them.

“Basic, Ja-lang! How can you make our Olivia that way! You deserve to die!”

“It must have been easy for him to manipulate everything. Her father's money is great!”

The women exclaimed, scolded, and swore an oath to Selena. They soon reached into the plastic bag, preparing to throw Selena with eggs again.

Selena spontaneously closed her eyes as several eggs floated towards her.

Blank! Blank!

Along with the sound of the egg breaking, Selena's eyes spontaneously opened when she felt the grip of someone's hand. And that second Selena was stunned as well.

Ocean hugged him, becoming a shield as the eggs were ready to hit him.

Olivia fans shouted louder and louder as their target survived. They were increasingly violent in throwing eggs in annoyance, even if it only hit Ocean's back and hair.

Ocean's face still looked calm, as if the throwing of the eggs meant nothing to him. Her hand moved rubbing Selena's hair, which was hit by broken eggs, cleaning it. Smiling gently.

“Stay running, Selena. I promise no one can hurt you.” Ocean nodded once, convincing Selena to get into the car immediately.

Selena nodded, started to step on her feet.

Under the egg-throw that rained down on Ocean and the increasingly heated atmosphere around her, somehow Selena felt an overwhelming calm, knowing that she had the most powerful shield. No one else can touch it.

...****...

“Cokelat warm.”

Selena placed her palm on the mug, feeling the radiating warmth. “I haven't had time to tell you that.” Selena turned her head, looking at Ocean beside her. “Thank you for acting so cool, Ocean.”

Ocean laughed, put down his coffee mug. “I actually want to take you away from here, Selena. Maybe catch up with your parents who are on a business trip to London. Reporters outside the house must be very disturbing to you. But since the police still have to check your alibi and the results of the TKP examination, while we have to stay here.”

Selena's breath was heard. He sipped his chocolate. “I don't matter. Maybe you're the one who's more bothered than me. Today your work must be a mess.”

“You're worried about me now?” Ocean smiled askewed sucks.

“Because my husband has been worrying about me, as a good wife, I should do it too, right?”

Once again Ocean laughed until his eyes narrowed. She looked at Selena who swept her gaze at the night sky, then said, “You ever count the stars, Selena?”

Selena turned her head, frowning, before shaking her head. “Mana can, Ocean. Here not even a single star appears, covered in clouds and pollution.”

“Then you want to one day go with me to a place with a cloudless sky, so that you can see the sea of stars?”

“That's like in Alaska?”

Ocean nodded. “Maybe even greater.”

“Why should I come with you?” Selena raised one eyebrow.

“Because we will race counting stars.”

Silence also brought the look of Selena's confused face. Ocean less work or what, so you want to count the stars?

“How to count that many stars?” Selena finally asked, curious about Ocean's mind.

Ocean smiled faintly, exhaling a faint breath. “Stay counting only, Selena. But in that race, every time you count one star, you also have to let go of the feelings that are holding you back from laughing. Angry, hateful, sad, scared .. You have to let go along with the bad memories behind it. Make peace with all that.”

The movement of Selena who was about to take the mug stopped. He was fully staring at Ocean with an indistinguishable feeling.

“The paper you're hiding now, you can also participate in the race, Selena. Hopefully before morning comes, the feelings that bother you have run out.”

This time Selena was completely stunned, her hand that was hidden beside the body moved squeezing the white paper that she had just obtained when she was about to enter the house. It contains a curse, an oath of absorption so that Selena rooted in hell because it is considered the main mastermind of the misfortune that befell Olivia.

And Ocean knows ....

“I'm in first then. Don't sleep too late.” Ocean stood up, giving space for Selena to show her feelings for the expanse of the night sky and the hanging crescent moon.

Right after Ocean closed the door, a slow suction of Selena joined the cold night air. Body vibrates. He was overwhelmed by the feeling of overwhelming fatigue.

Despite trying to act as though she was fine, Selena was still knocked down by the hateful comments and words that dropped her. No matter how long Selena was an actress, she would never get used to it.

Ocean looked at Selena from a distance, sighing deeply. Rather than her frail side, Ocean felt Selena's stupid behavior was much better.
