Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects

Mrs. Crazy And Mr. Perfects
CHAPTER 35| SUPPORTING NUMBER ONE

“Where are you, Ocean? Come quickly! I can die silly any minute.”

Selena's voice across there sounded so depressed and desperate. Ocean seemed to be able to see the parched look that was peppered with great disgust. Facing overzealous mothers is always difficult.

That afternoon, Adira and Lilian came to pick up Selena. Because of a fucking misunderstanding while Adira was staying the other day, it's actually wreaking havoc for Selena. Adira does not play games over all the words that come out of her lips. Now, they're actually shopping for baby gear even though Selena's mouth is already foaming saying that she's not pregnant at all. The two women didn't care, saying this equipment would definitely be needed any minute. They were excited around the baby shop, picking up whatever they felt was adorable.

And yes, Selena has no way out but to wait for Ocean to save her.

“I can't get there now, Selena. I'm gonna have a basketball game soon.” Ocean's hands were busy tying his shoelaces.

“What matches? You insane? I don't want to die alone, Ocean. Please hurry here ...”

Hearing Selena's voice that seemed to lose hope to be saved from the abyss of hell was successful in making Ocean smile thinly. “Alright, I'll have Noah pick you up. Tell them I need you to support me.”

“Yes! Have Noah get here in less than ten minutes.”

“Ap—”

“Close the phone!”

Connection interrupted. Ocean shook his head slowly before his fingers nimbly typed on the phone screen, telling Noah to pick up Selena.

“Wah, what is this. Turns out you can smile like a teenager who is feeling the love of monkeys, Ocean?” Austin clasped his arm around Ocean's shoulder while moving both of his eyebrows up and down to tease him.

“Do not talk nonsense and get rid of your hands, Austin.” Ocean replied sharply.

“Stop teasing him, Austin, later our cassanova face is getting flushed.” His other friend, Xavier—who had invited Ocean and Selena at his wedding—laughs satisfied, the chance to make fun of Ocean finally came too.

“Quite messing around, Kids.” Agatha emerges from the door of the locker room, momentarily saving Ocean from the foolish talk of her friends. “Coming out. The match will start in five minutes.”

With her sports shirt, Agatha clapped her hands, coding for unfinished players to get ready to hurry.

This basketball game is routinely held every six months. Initially only to channel the hobby of the ‘heirs to the throne of the company’ who are tired of struggling with annoying files that they have to learn before sitting on the throne. However, as time went on, this match was as expensive as self-esteem. The winner or loser label will be attached to them within the next six months.

And Agatha has always been the one to take care of all the necessities. Renting the field, preparing uniforms, providing drinks and food, even preparing high-quality towels. He seemed to enjoy while pacing around taking care of this and that.

“I wouldn't be surprised if next year you're appointed assistant coach at Warriors, Agatha.” Austin gave his thumb. “Humans as similar as Ocean are indeed reliable everywhere.”

Eight players in the locker room, stepped out after cheering to add more spirit.

“Wait a minute, Ocean.” Agatha touched Ocean's shoulder to make him turn his head, stopping to walk for a moment. “Try giving your right hand.”

Ocean's eyebrows shot up high before he slightly raised his right hand, half in doubt.

Agatha smiled widely, picking up something in her pants pocket. A wristband. With a gentle gesture Agatha put the thing on Ocean's wrist, then smiled even wider. The gray wristband that he deliberately ordered that special, with the initials ‘OC’ on the front, looks very fitting in the hands of Ocean.

“May according to your taste.”

Gazing as straight as the wristband in his hand, Ocean nodded. “Thank you, Agatha. I'll use it well.”

And Agatha's head slowly lowered. He didn't want Ocean to see him blush now.

...****...

“Wah, the match has already started!” Selena quickened her pace, passed the people in the stands, then positioned herself in front of one of the chairs with Noah next to her. “Oh, the Ocean, Noah!”

Selena's eyes shimmered when she saw Ocean dribble the ball nimbly, making some moves outwitting the opponent, to then sneak between two opposing players who were dead steps. In the face of two more men, Ocean passed the ball to Xavier on the left. Retaining his position on the three-point line, Xavier returned the ball to Ocean. Before the opponent managed to interrupt or prepare the blockade, Ocean deftly shot while jumping small.

“YOU'RE THE COOLEST, OCEAN! LIKE A GOD OF BASKETBALL!” Selena screamed while jumping and clapping.

“PAK OCEAN MOST AMAZING!” Noah replied, clapping.

The cry of the two of them not only seized the attention of the players on the field, even the spectators turned their heads. Yet Selena and Noah did not care, they still clamored praising the sky-high Ocean.

“Your wife is amazing, Ocean.” Xavier whispered, then waved at Selena cheerfully.

Contrary to Xavier's reaction, Ocean cast a sharp glare, telling Selena and Noah to shut up. Their words were really tacky and embarrassing.

“Hey, isn't that Daniel the stupid jerk, Noah?” Selena whispered, staring fixedly at the tall man who was competing as Ocean's opponent. She still remembers once how the man tried to denigrate her as ‘actress tempelan’ at Xavier's wedding.

“That is indeed Mr. Daniel, Madam. He always wanted to be a rival to Mr. Ocean everywhere. I am also very upset when I see that master.” Noah also stared cynically at Daniel who is now trying to drive and snatch the ball from the Ocean.

“DID HE, OCEAN! MAKE HER CRY!” Selena's screams are getting smoldering, her revenge on Daniel still needs to be resolved.

Ocean crossovers, nimble past Daniel, then do a quick dribble. Unstoppable movement, Ocean glides towards the ring as two opposing players prepare to block. Before they were fully ready, Ocean had already jumped high with the ball raised in his right hand. He lunged at the opponent, directing the ball into the ring with all his might.

The referee's whistle once again sounded along with the roar of the audience. That's an awesome dunk poster.

“Jeez, gosh, he's really like Michael Tyson's incarnation!” Selena clapped her hands more and more.

“Michael Jordan, Mistress.” Noah corrected.

“Omong-by, Noah. Where is the toilet?”

“Ah, toilet. The madam had to get down from the stands, then to the door beside the field. Want me to drop off?”

“I'm not a kid, Noah. No need.” Selena flicked her hand, starting to walk down the stands.

“Be careful when walking beside the field, Mistress. Don't get hit by the ball!” noah exclaimed, trying to beat the audience's voice.

Selena raised her hand to understand. He arrived at the edge of the field along with the crowd who were cheering again. This time for Daniel who just did a slam dunk. The man was even still hanging in the ring, expressing his pleasure by shaking the ring. As Selena realized, Daniel's gaze had been directed at Ocean, as if to show that he could do something equally great.

Coinciding with Daniel getting off the ring, the match continued. Ocean dribbles the ball in a slow tempo at the back of his defence while giving other players direction to prepare for their respective positions. Selena just wanted to cheer up again, given the distance and Ocean was close enough, as her eye tail caught something odd.

Selena's heartbeat slowly began to be felt no more and her tongue felt an extraordinary tongue. Deep fear seeped within Selena as her legs forced her to step as fast as possible towards Ocean who was still busy communicating with her teammates.

Each step of Selena's foot brought thousands of requests that she never uttered. The distance and Ocean who was just a new throw suddenly felt so far away.

Can't do. Nothing can happen with Ocean.

Distance is getting eroded, chasing time. Arriving behind the Ocean, Selena's hand stretched out, pushing her all her might to get away.

Not perfect Ocean looked back, the ball in his hand just slipped away when something terrible was presented before his eyes.

“Ocean—”

Bruk!

Pyars!

The iron-based basketball hoop has hit Selena.
