“Fish burn, your favorite.” With a gentle smile, Felix put the grilled fish on Selena's plate. He also deftly picked up another side dish, treating Selena like a princess. “You have to eat a lot to get well quickly.”
Selena sighed, staring uninspired at her plate filled with side dishes. “I've been cured, Felix. Hey, I have to go back to filming soon, where can I eat this much.”
“You will still look beautiful even if you gain weight, Selena. Trust me.”
Selena's smile grew. For two years he and Felix had been in a relationship, and Felix's attitude was still the same: sweet and heart-warming. Her eyes were sincere, her body language clearly showing that she loved Selena very much. How could Selena possibly throw away that angel-like man in pursuit of the man-like Ocean Medusa?
Speaking of Ocean ... Selena glanced at the chair opposite her, finding Agatha who with a flexible movement put the side dish on Ocean's plate. Judging from any point of view, the four of them were like they were double dates. Ocean-Agatha and Felix-Selena. Who would have guessed that their partner was swapped, the marriage was just nonsense.
“You want to exchange dishes with me, Selena?”
Ocean's question made Selena open her eyes, forcing her daydream to stop. Damn, he was not even consciously staring at Ocean's plate.
“Indeed the plate belongs to you, so I can't see it?” Selena grieves slowly. “I just imagine about the typical food here that is famous for being delicious. Tomorrow I plan to taste it with Felix.”
“You mean komodo satay?”
Selena chokes on water. An odd silence enveloped the dining table afterwards. Sate what?
“Special food here. Komodo satay. Well, looks like you can't wait to try it.” Ocean smiled half a grin. Satisfied to see Selena who rubbed her nape awkwardly.
“Y-yeah, komodo satay. We'll try it, ‘kan, Felix? I can imagine the Komodo dragon meat that alot—” Selena sound choked. Even imagining eating an unorthodox food—him—it, already makes him nauseous.
Ocean placed her fingers over her lips, hiding her gel smile because of Selena's behavior.
Komodo satay. Not as the name suggests, actually satay is not made from the meat of animals that are protected it, but buffalo or beef. Unfortunately, such simple knowledge ignored Selena's attention. He looked stupid, but comforting at one time.
“L-then how are you? You guys have plans for tomorrow?” Selena fed the grilled fish to her mouth, behaving as if the question was just the wind then.
“Ah, how about we take a walk as well, Ocean, of course after checking the development goes smoothly.” Agatha looks enthusiastic. He was looking forward to the time with Ocean. Play by the beach, walk around the island, laugh while enjoying ice cream. It would definitely be the most beautiful experience of his life.
In fact, not only Agatha who was pounding waiting for Ocean's answer, Selena was more nervous, spontaneously stringing together the scenario of the shadow of Ocean and Agatha who were chasing each other on the beach. Selena shook her hand, casting away the shadow.
“You really want to go out, Agatha?” Ocean turned.
Agatha nodded excitedly.
“Alright, let's get some fresh air tomorrow. I also want to discuss some things with you regarding the repair design.”
Selena's spirit evaporated, her mood shattered instantly. As much as possible he behaved normally by returning to feed large portions of food. If only she was in the room alone, Selena would have cursed at the wall—because that was all she could do.
Selena did not know that Agatha was now forcing a smile. Every time he was with her, Ocean talked more about work. It was very different from her attitude towards Selena. Ocean seems to enjoy teasing Selena to make the woman upset instead of playing.
And Agatha hated that difference.

The expanse of Labuan Bajo light coming from buildings and street lights, the calm sea, also towering hills, becomes a stunning sight in the hotel's private lounge occupied by Ocean. The atmosphere there was quiet and soothing, because there was only him there. Two pairs of sofas were still empty, it seemed like no one was interested in enjoying the night view of Labuan Bajo.
Slowly Ocean sips his hot coffee, then switches back on the tablet screen, checking Noah's work in the office while he is still taking care of the construction of a new hotel.
Ocean turned his head when he sensed that someone was sitting next to him. He frowned, finding Selena beside him.
“Why, Selena?” Ocean refocused his gaze on the tablet, there were countless reports he had to check.
Ocean's eyes narrowed slightly at Selena making the woman move uncomfortably.
“K-if it wasn't for the favor, I wouldn't bother with this either!”
“I didn't say anything, Selena.” Ocean smiled infuriatingly to the point of making Selena hiss upset. “Alright, you can treat and replace the bandage as you like.” Ocean rolled up the short arm of his t-shirt, revealing his bandaged upper arm.
With a stiff movement, Selena took off the Ocean bandage. He desperately kept his hands from looking nervous or would be laughed at by Ocean again. The wound with the stitches that still looked a little wet made Selena grinned in horror, as if she felt pain. Somehow Ocean was able to hold it in and act as if he was fine the entire time.
“You sure you won't faint?”
“I can hit your wound anytime, Ocean. So you better shut up.” Selena was already busy rubbing the alcohol swab into Ocean's wound with great care.
Ocean slightly threw away her face, enduring the pain, as Selena affixed the antiseptic through the cotton.
“Wah, look at this who is in pain.” Finally Selena has a chance to avenge Ocean. He smiled amusedly without releasing his attention on the wound. “Looks like you're gonna faint, Ocean.”
Not offended, Ocean laughed. Right, he's still human. “It seems you are very happy to see my weakness, Selena. Because I rarely show it?”
“Who said? Nagging, being angry, acting like a joke .. That also includes your weakness, Ocean. You show it every day until it feels like my ears are early deaf.”
“You look to enjoy your role as a housewife.”
Selena glanced cynically. “Don't till I actually hit you.”
Ocean laughs. He's just kidding.
After applying antibiotics, Selena covered Ocean's wound with a new bandage. He breathed a sigh of relief, satisfied with his work.
“Alright, it's done.” Selena cleaned up the equipment and medicine. “You can call me if you need help with your injuries—ah, I forgot Agatha. He can definitely do better than me.”
“What if Agatha is better?”
Selena looked. What kind of question is that?
Ocean again lowered his sleeve, took his tablet, then his eyes began to busy exploring the row of writings there. “Not all things can be measured from good and not, Selena. Everyone has their own idealistic view of something. What you think is bad, may be special to others, and vice versa. We never really know what hidden things are in the heads and feelings of others.”
Ah, once again Ocean looked mesmerizing with his words of wisdom and calmness. Right, there are not only two choices in the world: good and bad, right and wrong. Everyone can expand the options according to their own point of view. Even if they want to look deeper, they can find a lot of special things on the worst.
Both corners of Selena's lips were pulled upwards, forming a faint smile as her eyes were fixed on the Ocean's side profile. How can Selena escape the man's charm while he continues to be showered with things that make his heart melt? Now, forgetting Ocean feels like something impossible.
“I'll go first.” Selena decided to stand up. He could be completely insane if he continued to be there.
“I'll call you if need help with my injuries, Selena.”
Selena's movements came to a halt, glancing at Ocean who was still focused on her tablet. All right, don't overdo it. Act normal. Act normal—
Selena swears in the heart. Without saying anything more, he stepped quickly out of the lounge. He just didn't want to look embarrassing if he continued to be there.
Selena galloped away without ever knowing that Ocean had actually changed her bandage two hours ago, just before dinner.
