“What kind of dinner is there in a place like this? I'll really kill you if you do anything there, Ocean.” Selena put a black hat on her head, and wrapped a thick scarf around her neck.
Making sure her appearance was closed enough to be recognized, Selena stepped out of the car. The building with neon light that emitted an elegant amethyst-colored light immediately welcomed Selena. Many people passed by outside the building; women dressed in fashionable and open, while men mostly wore short-sleeved shirts or suits. According to information from Noah, taking into account about Austin's favorite nightclub, Ocean is most likely there.
Arriving at the entrance, two guards opened the door for Selena while slightly lowering her head politely. The sound of music sniffed Selena's ear as her foot stepped down the stairs, then through a long hallway. At the end of the passageway, a frenzied night world filled with pleasure lay before his eyes.
Without waiting any longer, Selena circulated her gaze as she took a quick step past the people who were partying. Not finding Ocean on the first floor, Selena rushed up the stairs, heading to the second floor.
As she pulled her hat down to cover her face, Selena nimbly stepped past the tables filled with bottles of drink and lowly boisterous visitors. He was frustrated when he did not find Ocean—
Selena glared sharply as the tail of her eyes caught a familiar man on one of the sofas, sitting amidst scantily dressed women each holding a drink glass.
Ocean's eyes were closed, seemingly heavily intoxicated, yet he became the center of attention of the women. They watched Ocean's face closely, whispered to each other, and then laughed loudly. The women even touched Ocean's arms, laughing even wider. And Selena's teeth chattered when she saw Agatha leaning her head against Ocean's shoulder. He also seems to be drunk.
Selena's hands clenched tightly together with her feet that stepped swiftly onto the table.
The women's laughter vanished slowly as soon as Selena stood in front of them. His face was still covered in a hat and scarf, but his dark aura made the atmosphere on the table change.
“You ... who?” The woman wearing the red off shoulder dress sitting beside Ocean frowned at the strange-looking Selena.
“Enyah from here.” Selena spoke sharply, half hissing.
“What? You must have gone crazy—”
“How dare you touch it, Damn it!” Selena shouted, jumped in front of Ocean, then pushed the woman wearing the red dress to the side to make the women beside her pushed along.
Taking the opportunity as the women slightly moved away from the Ocean while shouting curses, Selena pushed the temple Agatha with her index finger, making the woman stagger to fall onto the sofa. One problem has been solved. Next Selena spread her hands in front of Ocean, as if to be a shield so that the women could not reach him.
“This crazy woman, you want to mess with us?!” The woman clad in a red dress snapped, hissing furiously.
“I am crazy, so why? You want to go to the mental institution with me?” Selena was defiant, undaunted in the slightest.
“Si this shit. Get out of the Ocean! She's mine tonight.” The woman gave a menacing look at Selena
“’Miliku’ your ass. Who did you say was yours, huh? Can I rip your mouth out right now?” Selena's voice was no less loud, her tongue was already shrewd about harsh words. He stared back as if he was going to finish off the woman tonight.
“You!” The mounting anger was clearly drawn on the woman's face. “Bring Ocean to me.”
Right at the end of the sentence, five of her female friends who had also been sitting on the same sofa, rushed over to Selena. Claiming slowly, Selena twisted her brain, she could not make the problem even more protracted.
And Selena grinned when she found the bottle on the table. He hurriedly grabbed the bottle and banged it on the table. The sound of broken bottles rang out loud, clashing with nightclub music.
The horrified cries of the women followed later. They stepped back as Selena brandished the half-broken bottle, displaying dangerous-looking sharp edges.
“Come, let me make you guys have fun in the hospital.”
No one dared to come closer, they closed their bodies to each other, exclaiming stifled.
“Selena?”
The loud and slow voice made Selena turn her head, then spontaneously hissing irritatedly at Ocean. “Why did you just wake up now, you idiot! You're almost in the newspaper headline tomorrow morning!”
“I drink too much.” Ocean held his head that felt dizzy.
“Take it easy, Ocean. I will protect you from these starving foxes. Are you the only one who can protect others? I can also.” Selena was still on standby, not releasing her gaze at the women in front of her.
Ocean chuckled, confirming his sitting position. Even though his condition has improved, tonight Ocean will allow Selena to protect him.
...****...
“I'll really break their necks if I meet again!” Selena snorted loudly, slightly hobbled down the stairs because she had to reach Ocean.
The place is still alive, even more burning even though the day is too late. People there seem to have excess energy, enjoying music played by moving the body freely.
Arriving at the first floor, they walked into a long hallway, where the atmosphere there was much better. The loud music was left behind.
“I'll also kill you if you drink again, Ocean. You really suck at this.”
“You won't be a widow just because I drink a lot, Selena. I'm not that bad.”
Selena glanced at the cynical Ocean. Not bad what. “Well, look at the messed up man in front of it. Your current condition is no different like—”
Yuck!
Selena gasped, spontaneously stopping her steps as the man she had just talked about vomited on the woman's shirt wrapped in work clothes that was wrapping her. Just for a second, until Selena was flabbergasted when the woman pushed the man violently to make her head hit the wall of the hallway, causing a sound of pain, then an angry cry followed later.
“OSCAR SHIT, I'LL KILL YOU! BASIC BOSS IS USELESS!”
Selena gawked at the woman's loud voice, as well as her manner. What kind of drama is going on here?
“Wah, she looks crazier than you, Selena.” Ocean whispering.
“You won't puke on my shirt, will you?” Selena slightly rewinded her body, worried that her fate would end up the same as the woman in front of it.
“From that ...”
Selena gasped as Ocean slightly pushed her towards the wall. Selena's back felt cold as it touched on the shiny white wall. He felt a strange crackling in his chest, finding Ocean standing too close to him.
“A-what are you doing, Ocean? You're still drunk heavily apparently.”
Ocean smiled faintly, slightly lowering his body to make Selena hold her breath. Unfortunately he could not retreat anymore, his back had perfectly stuck to the wall.
But then, Selena was stunned as Ocean's hand moved to remove the black hat she was still wearing, then switched to remove the scarf that covered part of her face. There was nothing Selena could do but blink her eyes in confusion.
Grasping the hat and scarf in her right hand, Ocean took a step back, looking straight at Selena's eyes.
“No need to hide, Selena. Just like you did earlier, I will also protect you tonight.”
And Selena suddenly felt the supporting bones of her legs seem to just vanish. Tonight, he had lost just because of the thin smile imprinted on Ocean's face.
