44. Bringing Change

Today is the thirteenth day of Anang's hospitalization. Since chatting with Rahma some time ago, she spent her days just to get closer to God.

True what Rahma once said, his heart, mind, and mind are now much calmer. He no longer wants to think about the loss of his children, his wife and his family, his mind even though sometimes the memory comes to mind. However, he tried to focus on his change. He believes and believes that happiness will follow him later.

"Good morning" said Rahma cheerfully.

"Good morning." Anang replied with a smile that had been etched on his lips lately.

"You're stable, you can go home later in the afternoon." Rahma checked Anang's condition and everything was back to normal.

"Alhamdulillah, then why is your face so? Where is a Doctor who delivers good news but whose face is so flat?"

"I lost a terrible patient like you. What do you think I am, Doctor?" Rahma asked enthusiastically.

"Are you asking each of your patients this question?"

"I don't have to ask them they explained themselves. That's why I'm asking you, I want your assessment, too."

"It's important?"

"It's important to me, but if you don't want to answer it, it's okay. I can't take my will to someone else." Rahma placed her buttocks on the chair and watched Anang closely.

"Why did you see that? Not working anymore?"

"I watch the night, so now I'm free. You have no intention of contacting... "

Drrrt drrt

Rahma slightly stole Anang's vibrating mobile view. He saw a picture of three children and a beautiful woman. If Rahma could guess, they would be Anang's wife and son.

"There's a message, why was it seen?" Rahma finally opened her voice because Anang just silently looked at her.

"What did you see? The photo on my phone? Want to know who they are?"

"If I wanted to know, would you tell me?"

"Maybe's. Ye know? I feel like you've brought a lot of change in me. I don't know, I feel like there's a lot I don't know, but you know everything. We're new to it, but, yes as you say, maybe this is God's way of making me realize. Just imagine if I didn't know you, I could still be in tears and regret."

"Haha. All back to yourself, I'm just paving the way for your mind. Would you take a walk to the park, right? You've never seen the outside."

"You're a Doctor. No pantes, if you have to push the patient."

"My work hours are over. So we're not patients and doctors, we're friends. I'll take a wheelchair for a second."

Anang again looked at his phone, observing the photos he made as wallpaper on his phone. A beautiful photo of Ayu as her name suggests and a photo of her three children who look happy. This is the only photo he has. It was taken from Ayu's social media.

"I'm sorry, son. I can't be a good father to you. I don't care about your happiness, I only care about your own happiness, I forget about the treasure that Dad should not be replaced anything. But believe me, throughout your life the thread of prayer and the best hope will never stop speaking from your mouth. Be happy with Mom." Anang peeped the old screen of his phone.

Because of his focus on the phone, Anang did not realize that Rahma had been standing in the middle of the door to hear everything that came out of her mouth.

From what comes out of Anang's start, Rahma concludes that Anang made a grave mistake so abandoned by his son and wife. Anang only realized his mistake when he was not with them.

"Ready sightseeing?" Rahma walks in with her face as usual, always cheerful and bringing positive energy to every one who sees her.

"Ready dong. I've been waiting from earlier, I can't wait to take care of the doctor who is carrying, talking a lot and wants to win by himself. All patients must be made to obey him," continued Anang who invited a crisp laugh on Rahma's lips.

With a little effort, Rahma finally managed to bring Anang to the wheelchair. This makes Anang back in the land of insecure who penetrated into the recesses of his body.

Slowly Rahma pushed the wheelchair, while Anang who was in the care never went out of the room even though he just looked around. Just like hospitals in general, there are always many people passing by.

The sight of eyes that were wandering made Anang accidentally see a couple who were holding a baby. The sight made Anang's memory back in the years ago when Ayu gave birth to her first child, so happy, warm and ah it was difficult to get back in the description with words.

"Take a look at the past, huh?"

"Everything that happens in plain sight and wherever I am somehow always reminds me of my ex-wife. If only I could choose, I would rather lose my memory than my legs."

"So you don't want to remember your kids and your ex-wife?"

"More precisely his memories."

"It's all a matter of time, every wound will be healed by time. Either the wound disappears completely or leaves a mark. There will still be time to heal. Memories will not be forgotten either bad or sweet memories. Because our brain has taken over everything, will be as hard as we forget, the memories will remain and stored neatly there. We can be called healed of wounds or memories if we no longer feel pain or sadness when we remember the wounds or memories." Rahma sat next to Anang's wheelchair.

They sit under a fairly shady tree. Many butterflies surround the blooming flowers. The hospital park looks beautiful and can hypnotize the eyes of anyone who sees. Even Anang who is not too fond of flowers looks fascinated by the beauty of flowers lined with different colors.

"Good, yes flowers," said Rahma who also observed the blooming flowers.

"How old are you?" asked Anang suddenly.

"Why is it suddenly age?" Instead of answering Rahma again threw a question.

"Your mouth is like a person who lived in the world for a long time and experienced a life story that is so strange and bitter."

"The money is just a number, the adult is a choice. We don't have to be old before we can be adults. Do you think that's advice for someone else? No, that's advice to myself, too. I also still need to understand a lot of the formula of living in this world. But the more I learn to understand, the less I understand."

Anang just silently heard Rahma who spoke a lot. He wondered if this was God's way of making himself better? Malalui woman who even he just a little more than a week ago.
