"Surya, I'm waiting for you tonight at home." Mr. Rangga's voice through telephone.
Surya came down from the car he parked on the terrace of Mr. Rangga's house, his father-in-law. Surya knew what Mr. Rangga meant to call him that.
Mbak Yuyun opened the door and invited Surya to immediately go to Pak Rangga's workspace. His father-in-law must be there by now. Surya also walked to the place where Ms. Yuyun said.
"Come in." Mr. Rangga's voice from inside when Surya knocked on the door. Surya opened it and saw Mr. Rangga sitting on the sofa in front of his desk. In front of him billowing smoke coffee that must have just been served.
Surya sat on another sofa in front of Mr. Rangga. Then his father-in-law put the phone he had used before onto the table. Mr. Rangga looked at Surya straight before saying something to him.
"How are you?" Ask Mr. Rangga casually.
"Good, Pa." Answer Surya respectfully.
"Where's Gina?" Ask Mr. Rangga who saw Surya only alone entering his study.
"Miss Gina is still in R-Company."
"I also called him to come."
"Oh, I thought only I would come here." Answer Surya.
"Miss Gina will be done soon so I will tell the driver to drive her here."
"All right..." Said Mr. Rangga while drinking his coffee.
"I know R-Company is doing very well. The opening of the new R-Company when will it be implemented?"
"Maybe it will be in the near future, Pa. It's almost ready. Just have to send some products there. Because it's a big product so shipping out of the island we prepare more carefully."
"Good." Mr. Rangga's response was satisfied.
"I know you're very reliable in every way." Further.
"There's actually something I'd like to talk to you about and you'd know before you even got here." Surya nodded giving a gesture justifying what his father-in-law said.
"Almost everyone knows your relationship with Siska now." Sentence Pak Rangga was already guessed Surya will certainly say.
"I also know, Gina already knows your relationship with Siska. But your marriage relationship isn't a joke."
"Yes, Pa." Surya Saying.
"I'm sorry for causing this mess. I will take full responsibility and address it immediately."
"You know, it's not enough to just deal with it. Your marriage will be the center of attention." Surya silently looked at Mr. Rangga. Trying to dive into what his father-in-law was thinking.
Gina exits the elevator and heads to the basement where Surya used to wait for her in the car. But while walking in the parking area, Gina sees Surya's driver next to the car. He felt something strange about it but kept walking closer to him.
"Please, Miss. Mr. Surya wants me to take you to Mr. Rangga's house." Surya Driver. Gina said as the driver opened the door and got inside.
Gina sat quietly while thinking what the hell was going on. He knew his papa must have also called him because of something related to the photo of Surya with Siska that was widespread in R-Company. But why don't they just go together? That made Gina think there might be something that her Papa and Surya kept secret from her.
Ms. Yuyun entered Pak Rangga's room while carrying a cup of coffee which was then served to Surya. And after Mbak Yuyun came out, Mr. Rangga started talking again.
"So are you going to stick to your decision?" Ask Mr. Rangga to Surya in front of him.
"Yes, Pa."
"I'm actually curious about something." Mr. Rangga changed his seat. Surya is still listening to everything Mr. Rangga said.
"Did nothing happen between you and Gina?" Pak Rangga's question made Surya blink his eyes several times because he did not understand his point.
"Sorry, Pa?"
"You're always together. You even slept in the same room." Obviously Mr. Rangga. But Surya just looked at him and could not say anything even if only asking for a more detailed explanation.
"You're old enough to understand what I mean, Surya." This time Mr. Rangga chuckled at Surya who looked confused not knowing what to answer."
"alright. Let's just say I'm the outrageous one asking you this. I shouldn't have gotten too involved in your business." Finally Mr. Rangga decided not to pursue the answer from Surya who seemed very closed himself so.
"But, have you never felt anything at all for Gina?" Mr. Rangga is still curious about other things.
"Although her behavior is often outrageous and very troublesome but isn't her face very pretty?" Surya smiled in response to Mr. Rangga who had not given up on his curiosity.
"I'm coming..." Someone suddenly opened the door before Mr. Rangga got a response from Surya. Gina had already entered the door while carrying a cup of hot chocolate to herself.
"You're really suspicious to meet without me like this." Said Gina as she sat beside Surya.
"I'm sorry I didn't know you also got a call from Papa." Surya said before Gina spoke at length again.
"Oh, did you plan this?" Gina glared at Surya.
"So, what have I missed from your conversation?" Gina lifted her cup and sipped it a little because the chocolate was still hot. After that Gina sat leaning against the cushion of the sofa behind her.
"What do you want to hear?" Reply Mr. Rangga relaxed.
"Yes, of course."
"So, what does Papa want to talk to me about?"
"Are you the one who shared Surya's photo?" Ask Mr. Rangga with a straight look.
Gina who was drinking her chocolate again immediately choked on hearing her papa accusations. Surya who was beside her panicked and stroked Gina's back trying to calm her down. Mr. Rangga looked at them and smiled.
"Papa...how can I do that? That's a very cruel accusation." Gina directly sprayed her papa with the sentence of not accepting has been accused like that.
"I'm not that bad." Added Gina.
"Who knew you had a plan behind all this. Aren't you always looking for a way to escape your marriage?"
"It's true I always wanted to do it but I'm not this bad about involving Siska." Gina glanced at Surya after she mentioned the name of her lover.
"I made this the business of the three of us, so I don't want to involve anyone else anymore." Obviously Gina was honest because indeed she did not want Siska to be involved in her plan which could trigger a public backlash. He only plans to snatch Surya from him secretly instead of making him an object to cause a scandal.
Gina came out of her papa room followed by Surya. He walked slowly after Surya closed the door.
"Miss, we'd better get back to this house again." Surya said behind Gina.
"Why? Is Siska mad at you because I live in your house?" Investigate Gina after turning around.
"No, Miss. But, you better stay here from today. This house is more comfortable for you."
"You know what my comfort is." Said Gina cynically.
"But, all right, I'll come back here." Gina finally said.
"I have to take a shower and have dinner. Oh yes, Ma'am Yuyun should have a special menu for tonight to welcome us back." His face was cheerful considering the dinner menu he would eat later.
Surya smiled at him. How can there be a woman who likes to eat and when she feels too many calories into her body, she will only be harder to exercise. Surya let Gina up to the second floor where her room was. While he himself walked to the park next to this big house while waiting for the ritual bath of Gina who is like the king's daughter so it will take a long time.
"You know, it's not enough to just deal with it. Your marriage will be the center of attention." Surya remembered the words of Mr. Rangga a moment ago.
He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. Then he looked up at the starless night sky. Looks like tonight is being clouded. It also felt the cold wind caressing his face. He's getting more convinced, maybe it's raining already promised to fall tonight.
"I know, Pa."
"Then how will you behave? Right now even though Siska is your real boyfriend, but everyone knows that you and Gina are a legitimate couple. You don't mean to let this go and hope this scandal ends, do you?" Mr. Rangga had a serious face when he said it.
"You and Gina are the most important people in R-Company. So you can't just let this go and shut it down until it disappears on its own. You have to take a stand." Mr. Rangga became like everyone else now. Being cold and foreign.
"You have to make a choice." He continued to be more assertive and made Surya tense for the first time when faced with a boss who had for years considered him like his own son.
"Yes Pa. I'll finish this." Surya undertakes as a form of his sense of responsibility has done carelessness.
Actually, Mr. Rangga did not have to do that to Surya. He who is still sitting behind his desk now regrets his dishonesty at that time. Very firmly Mr. Rangga asked Surya if he had a girlfriend and he replied that he was not in a love relationship with anyone. Had Surya said that at that time he was dating Siska, maybe Mr. Rangga did not bother him and did not make him marry Gina as a condition that he get R-Company. Mr. Rangga was a little sorry about that. But the reason Surya as a form of return to him so far can still be accepted and hope this time Surya is honest. Although Mr. Rangga knows Surya quite well, but Surya is still an ordinary human being and the possibility of him being someone else that he did not think before was always there.
A message went into Mr. Rangga's cell phone. He grabbed it on the table and read the contents. A message from Bu Marina who was going to the island with her school friends first. The show felt right by him because since he knew how Gina began to have a sense to Surya, he was like every moment to become restless and worried. So the invitation of his friends to go on vacation can be a distraction for a moment from his stress.
Mr. Rangga saw the photo sent by Bu Marina who was swimming in a five-star hotel swimming pool there. Mr. Rangga smiled at the attitude of his wife who was sometimes still childish like that.
"Does he remember his age?" Murmured Mr. Rangga saw the photo on his phone.
"But I think they are the same so they are still friends today. Still equally stuck in their school age." This time Mr. Rangga chuckled looking at the photo of Bu Marina with some female friends who are still in touch since they both sat on the High School bench.
"What are you doing?" The sudden voice of Gina behind the bench where Surya was sitting was still looking at the night sky.
"Tonight there were no stars." Said Gina who followed the direction of Surya's view since earlier when she saw from the side terrace of the house. Then Gina sat down beside Surya who was smiling to see him coming.
"You still thinking about it?" Gina asked as if she knew something. Something he is thinking about right now.
"I know you must have talked a lot with Papa before I came." Gina's sentence this time answered Surya's question about his intentions that he had not asked.
"Definitely Papa called you for that photo, didn't he?" Gina turned to Surya again and made him want to return that gaze this time. Surya nodded at Gina's calm eyes and was like a friend who wanted to talk to her.
"You're upset about it?" Ask Gina this time.
"A little bit, Miss." Surya replied while chuckling. Seeing that, Gina smiled. Surya can joke at times like this. When his eyes seemed to imply the condition of his heart and mind that was not okay.
"When I wish you were a lot upset about it." Gina looked at Surya who was frowning. Surya thought that Gina's basic nature remained the same all this time. He had only undergone a slight change without abandoning his own true nature and was cruel when speaking such words.
"Thank you for hoping for that, Miss." Surya still always responded with jokes and a smile that did not escape from his lips even though his heart felt wry to get the response from Gina.
"I wish you were so upset because I was one of your gala objects that I would feel a little calm." Gina's words again confused Surya.
"I want you to be upset because with this you will be faced with two difficult choices. You have to hold on for Siska or you turn to me." Surya looked at Gina with a look of disbelief.
"I like you." Gina's words finally made Surya look at her in surprise.
"You don't have to be surprised let alone overwhelmed by my feelings because I'm going to give you time to feel how I feel about you." Gina said it quite firmly without any doubt at all as if she was uttering a narrative that she had kept in her heart all this time. Surya felt that this might not be real and only his daydreams. Their eyes met, but their lips were both unwilling to open their voices again. Only the heart and the heart speak.
