The Guards

Surya was standing in the hall of a cinema. Although he looked calm with the ice cream cone in his hand but occasionally his eyes looked to a point. Two teenagers standing in front of a popcorn kiosk were seen talking shyly. They are a couple of teenagers in love. Many times Surya sees teenage boys smiling at teenage girls with eyes that Surya doesn't like. While the teenage girl appeared many times to sing a happy smile with her boyfriend.

A few moments later they immediately entered the cinema to watch a movie. From the title that Surya saw, it must have been a romantic drama movie. Surya then rushed in following the pair of teenagers. He chose a seat in the back two rows the two teenagers were sitting in. Although the film has already started but Surya is more focused on the two teenagers in front of him. At first they just seemed to be watching. Sometimes they talk. From the silhouette of the face that Surya saw on the spot where he was sitting, they were smiling at each other. Then look at the cinema screen again. But before long the teenage boy seemed to be looking at a teenage girl who still enjoys the film in front of him. Slowly but surely, the teenage boy brought his face closer to the teenage princess. Surya was panicking. He knew what the teenage boy was going to do. Surya immediately took the mineral water bottle beside him and gulped it down but it did not run out. Then he threw it at the teenage boy.

"Bronch!" Right about the head of the teenager. He nodded and looked back. But no one cares about him. Surya also pretended to stare at the cinema screen seriously like he did not know anything like the others. The teenage girl who had heard her boyfriend complain was shocked and asked what happened. Surya held back a laugh seeing how the teenage boy rubbed his head which must have hurt because the bottle still contained a little water.

Until the duration of the film ends, Surya is still watching the two teenagers in his reconnaissance. After watching the cinema, the teenager who Surya knew was still in high school entered a restaurant on the other side of the shopping mall where they were watching.

Not wanting to lose any moment from the two brands, Surya also entered the restaurant. It takes place at a table that is rather corner and slightly blocked other visitors. Surya guessed the teenage girl would definitely order french fries and orange juice, the teenager's dinner menu. Being a bodyguard that the teenager never knew, Surya became aware of him a lot. The food he likes, all his activities and also his every habit. It was a job that he had to live for the past year so that it had become his routine to follow wherever the teenage girl went.

Because the mission given by his boss is to look after his daughter, so Surya will do everything that can not only make a man use himself both in terms of physical and material but also from things that can make the teenage girl hurt or get involved in problems. So Surya will try to install the body indirectly to keep the boss' daughter, however.

Like once at a nightclub, a drunken man teases the girl but because the girl doesn't accept it, so he was angry and almost beat up a drunk man who even walked he was staggering. But Surya, whose face is not recognized by his boss' daughter, immediately banishes him and pretends to be his friend and takes him out of the club. If only the fight had happened, then it could be that the authorities would come and the name of the teenager would be recognized as the daughter of his boss. So Surya has to protect her to protect her boss too.

It is very tiring to be a shadow bodyguard of a boss's daughter but it is comparable to the salary he receives so that Surya works as well as possible to still be able to become a master of Mr. Rangga, Papa Gina. Yes, the girl he followed was Gina when she was a teenager.

Surya always watches over Gina from afar, even when she follows the tutelage and goes to the playground. Because that is what Mr. Rangga ordered. From what Surya saw while following Gina, he often found Gina ditching the tutelage she was supposed to follow. Surya reported it to Mr. Rangga but Mr. Rangga told him to let it go. I don't know what Mr. Rangga thinks of Gina but Surya is only obedient when his boss instructs him to let Gina do all the things she wants as long as Surya always follows him.

That's what makes Gina also not a good student either at school or at the tutoring place. That makes it a conversation material for his classmates at the tutoring place.

"I think he only has a pretty face and rich parents. His brain really doesn't work." Said a child sitting in the tutoring lobby where Gina was getting extra lessons.

"True, how could the test scores be so bad." Teach the other child.

"I feel sorry for him. She's beautiful and rich but unfortunately she's stupid." Add the last girl sitting on the last sofa.

"Do you know what balance is?" Suddenly a voice from behind them. The three girls of Gina's classmate at the tutoring place but different schools with her were simultaneously turning their heads.

"I'm just trying to be in that situation. How can I when I have a beautiful face and also rich then at the same time have intelligence above average. I'm afraid people like you will gossip about me again. Am I the incarnation of an angel so born so perfect." Gina's sentence made the three girls frown.

"I deliberately made my grades bad. I followed this tutelage just because I had to have a busy life. So, it does not matter even if you have to repeat the tutoring test up to a thousand times." After saying her last sentence, Gina then passed from there. The three girls looked at Gina as they were weaving their lips. Gina is very confident and makes others resentful to her.

But Gina's not her name if you don't act annoyingly to people who don't like her. He will show it to them. Conversely, if there is a good person to him, then Gina would be even better to double on that person. That is the true nature of Gina. And not far from where the three girls were talking about Gina earlier, there was a man who looked like a student as well with a backpack on his back. Solar. Surya who heard all the three girls talk including Gina's words so held back laughter. She thinks Gina is amazing. Gina never did anything half way. Surya recalled, after being the talk of his tutoring friends when Gina casually left them and entered the car driven by her Papa driver to pick up. Surya was ready with his car behind Gina's car with a considerable distance but still able to monitor.

Gina's car is seen stopping at a convenience store. A few moments Gina was inside and she came out with a pack of snacks and a bottle of her favorite cold chocolate drink. Surya is still watching Gina from inside her car which she parked across the street where Gina enjoys her snacks alone. He seemed to enjoy his solitude.

Gina who was sitting on the chair provided in front of the department store was seen occasionally taking a heavy breath and exhaling it violently. He looks so lonely. It wasn't the first time Surya had found Gina to look like that. Gina who is not good at making friends and looks lonely. It was very desirable that Surya sat at the same table to invite him to talk and listen to everything the girl wanted to say. But he was the 'guard' that his father assigned to watch over him. So that it is impossible to appear before Gina if she does not want her face to be known by Gina. It could be that one time when he was lurking, he could be caught by Gina.

Surya smiled remembering all that. Remembering the things he experienced while still being Gina's 'supervisor.

"Hey, are you happy to interfere in other people's business?" Surya frowned hearing Gina's heart.

"That's because I care, Miss."

"Oh yeah?" Gina squinted her eyes probing.

"You care about me because Papa ordered you to protect me. Of course it's part of your job."

"That's how it is, miss. I've got to be professional and have to protect you even more than myself. Because for Papa, you're worth more than anything."

"Papa did that because he wanted to make your life comfortable, Miss. Papa does not want you to mess around with the various things that exist in R-Company. R-Company is not something as simple as you might imagine."

"So in other words you mean I'm too stupid to be president of R-Company?" Gina started to raise her tone.

"Not Miss, isn't it."

"I can't believe it. You really hurt my pride already thinking of me that way."

"No Miss. I didn't mean it that way."

"Of course, don't go on. I'm really angry now." Gina stood up from her place and was about to leave but Surya managed to hold her back by rejecting her tant.

"Miss, don't be angry. I don't mean as you think." Obviously Surya. Gina turned to look at Surya as she was still holding him back.

"Listen to me, Miss." Now Surya's words sound soft. It was Surya's distinctive tone that made him like the man. A tone of speech that calmed his heart. Gina complied and sat back on the edge of her bed. Surya who was originally sitting leaning against the head of the bed also changed the position next to Gina.

"As Papa said before, you have to learn first from the beginning about R-Company. Papa doesn't want you to suddenly hold power but doesn't know the slightest bit about R-Company. Papa does not want any parties who will take advantage of your ignorance as a leader so as to make R-Company in danger. You are not incapable of being a leader in R-Company but not yet. In time you'll be the next R-Company leader, a great one like Papa." Surya spoke solemnly. Gina looked at it like she was listening to her favorite music. Especially when close together like this, Surya's brown eyes really make Gina fascinated.

"So, the sooner you learn to understand R-Company, the more you'll be in the chair of President Director."

"Yes, maybe you have a point too." Gina seems to be able to accept the explanation from Surya.

"Then that's when I'll step down, miss." Add Surya.

"Retreat?" Gina rounded her eyes to look at Surya.

"Yes, Miss. Then you'll occupy your position as you should. And I'm no longer there."

"of course. Because I've shifted your position." Gina seemed happy to think about it.

"But what position will you be in? Vice president director. Ahh, you're under me. But take it easy, I'll be nice to you. After all, you're still the one who occupied the presidential director's throne in R-Company before me and of course Papa would never forgive me if I bullied you." Gina laughed to herself. Surya responded with a smile.

"At that time you'll be more comfortable because I'm not there as anything, Miss." Hearing that Gina's brain began to digest Surya's speech intent.

"I'm going to really get away from R-Company, Miss."

"Why?" There was a bad feeling in Gina's heart.

"Are you disappointed that I shifted your position?"

"Don't go. Don't go anywhere. I want you to stay here. With me. So, don't go anywhere." As she said that, Gina's eyes suddenly glazed over. His hand was holding Surya's hand tightly. As if to hint that he really does not want to lose Surya.
