Matchmaking

"Why did Papa plan all this without my consent?"

"For what? You're not even an R-Company employee let alone a shareholder. You're not involved at all here."

"But I'm Papa's daughter. That's more important than anything." Gina whined again.

"You're Papa's daughter and that's for good. But you're nobody in R-Company."

"Fearful father to me."

"No, Papa just did what he had to." Mr. Rangga crossed his legs still with a relaxed sitting. He knew the panic his daughter was experiencing. But he had to remain professional in terms of work so his daughter's whining would be ignored.

"So, you really want to be a part of R-Company?"

"of course. I'll leave Font and be here with Papa."

"Why are you thinking about getting into the company? Is it because you can't be in Font anymore while Faris is married?"

"No, let Faris get married, I still have plenty of chances to get her later."

"Based on stupid girl. You think your actions are right? Want to ruin people's homes?" Pak Rangga's voice rose because of anxiety at his daughter's own arbitrary behavior.

Yes, Gina prefers to work in a software house owned by the Faris family, the man she established as her first love. Gina really likes Faris even though in the end she knew all this time Faris only considered her friend. His father and Papa Faris were friends until they got to know each other. And starting from that, Gina began to like Faris slowly and still could not accept when Faris liked another girl and married her. That is why he is still in Font, Faris' company, so that he has a way to stay close to Faris.

"Papa knows, everything will be considered fair in war and love. So, my actions are right, because love is never wrong."

"Stop your crazy actions. Marry someone else."

"Cannot be. Faris is the only man who has the right to marry me."

"But he also has the right to reject you and he did. So stop dreaming and marry someone else." Her father's suggestion was serious because he felt compassion for his dead love daughter.

"I don't think I'll ever find a man as perfect as Faris. She's my ideal type." Gerricks Gina.

"He's your ideal type but what does that mean if you're not his ideal type." Said Mr. Rangga while holding back laughter.

"Ahh, Dad. Why clarify that." Gina half screamed at her papa's words that immediately struck her heart.

"Here you go, Papa has to make me the leader of the R-Company."

"Can you?"

"Of course, a little bit of me also studied at Font."

"Oh yeah? Isn't your job there just HRD equivalent?"

"Yes, but I can learn, Pa."

"Why am I wasting my time teaching you. This company is not a toy. If there is something much more professional, why recruit amateurs? I don't want to risk this hard-earned company of mine just as a place where you learn and play."

"So I mean Papa..." Gina fidgets and squeezes her fingers.

"Don't tell me Papa already has his candidacy."

"Yes, of course. You think Papa didn't prepare everything? Papa knows what to do for the good of R-Company. So if you want to get into R-Company, then you have to marry her to get a share of that marriage relationship."

"So Papa wants to trade with my life?"

"It's up to you to get R-Company or nothing."

"Who will gain the trust to replace Papa so easily? And also... does he make enough "reasonable" to be my future husband?"

"of course. He is highly qualified for all of that. Even he's very worthy to be with you to be a husband."

"Who is he?"

"Surya."

"What's? She's she? This Papa's errand boy? He's a candidate for R-Company leadership at once could be my future husband?"

"Reporter? He knows more about R-Company than you."

"Alright, whatever Papa says. But, Surya..." Gina turned her head towards Surya who was still standing upright in his original place.

"Yes Miss." Finally, Surya made a sound after staying in the room.

"Wait outside. I have to talk to Papa four-eyes. After this I will also talk to you. So wait outside." Said Gina firmly commanding as if she was her boss. But Surya did not immediately obey Gina's orders and still looked at Mr. Rangga as if asking for approval. As a special officer Pak Rangga he knows who is more entitled to govern him. And he's very obedient in that.

"Surya, wait outside first." Mr. Rangga. Surya nodded respectfully then walked out of the room.

"So, the person Papa thinks deserves to lead the R-Company is Surya? That geeky guy?" Gina looked at her Papa slightly glared in shock.

"He's very competent for that." Mr. Rangga was still relaxed earlier.

"Oh yeah? A geeky guy like him? Isn't he just Papa's assistant? Get drinks, food, take Papa wherever Papa goes? Isn't he just that?"

"More than that. He's my duplicate. What I know he knows too. So it's time what I got he's got, too."

"What's? That far?" Gina stood up from her seat. Mr. Rangga looked up at Gina who was getting shocked.

"Papa aware of what Papa's doing?" Now Gina was sitting next to her Papa. Looking at her father with an incomprehensible look.

"Conscious." Mr. Rangga sighed lightly with a smile.

"A few days ago I did a general check-up routine and the results were all good. Therefore, I am in good health so the time is right to shift power. Not when I'm sick and then shift office incidentally. That's not good. I can't watch him directly. Because even though someone will replace me, I will stay behind. Overseeing and supporting."

"Then I am the most appropriate person. I'm Papa's biological daughter."

"So, marry Surya. I got it all in one moment. The right person manages the company and the right soul mate to be your husband."

"OK, maybe because he knows the ins and outs of the company so Papa thinks he's the right guy to be Papa's replacement. Even though I'm not sure about it." From Gina's tone as if underestimating Surya.

"But as my husband?" Gina glared again.

"Yes, why? Face's nice. He's no less intelligent than Faris."

"O Lord Papa... Is his face good? Well worth where from? He's so cute. Seeing him was like meeting someone who teleported from the '80s."

"Oh yeah? I think he likes to look retro."

"It's not retro, Pa. That's his name. Not stylish at all."

"You can change it after you become your husband."

"You get turned into metrosexuals even though she stays retro. It's basically geeky from there." Gina grumbled again.

"Yes.all of you decide. Papa can only do that for you. All power transfer files are ready and in a few days Surya will occupy that seat. You just have to make a choice."

"By the way, am I really Papa's daughter?" Gina squinted her probing eyes.

"Of course."

"Would we do a DNA test to find out the truth?"

"Then why is Papa treating me like I'm not Papa's real daughter?"

"I'm doing my best for you. Give you a chance to enjoy your life and have fun as you please. Let the company be handled by someone else who is more capable."

"Then what about marrying me to a little guy?"

"Cupu? He's a good guy. Have a great sense of responsibility in everything that is his responsibility. Very attentive to what is nearby. And many more of hers will make you like her after getting to know her more."

"No. It's impossible." Gina rolled her eyes puffed.

"I couldn't possibly fall in love with a man as intimate as him. That's very unlikely."

"But your next life depends only on it. You either marry her or you don't get anything from R-Company." Mr. Rangga is firm. His face is serious. Gina knew, if the papa was already like this, it was a sign that the papa was really serious.

"Why Papa didn't just kill me. Why expose me to hard choices. It was like eating simalakama fruit." Gina leaned her body against the back of the sofa.

"Is this Papa's act of revenge because all this time I've never obeyed Papa's orders?" Gina looked at her father.

"Please take it that way."

"Well, I'll do whatever Papa tells me to get into the R-Company if you don't marry Surya."

"I don't have any ideas other than that." Replied Mr. Rangga lightly.

"Oh Pa, think of something else."

"No, I'm old. I was too lazy to think. Besides my sphingomyelin has weakened so I can't use it to think well."

"Ahh, Dad..." Gina looks very upset and then moves on from there because she feels she has not been able to persuade her father to change his decision. Mr. Rangga looked at the back of his daughter who was away and smiled.

Meanwhile behind the door of the room, Surya seemed to talk to Pak Rangga's secretary. As Gina walked out of there, the two men looked at her simultaneously.

"Surya, come with me." Gina said as she passed.

"None right." Surya followed behind him.

Gina walked into the elevator, as did Surya. Just a few minutes later, the elevator doors opened and the basement appeared in front of them. Gina stepped out without even looking at the man who had been the faith of her father for years.

Gina approached her car. But he didn't open the car door and just leaned there.

"So, how did you get Papa to give you such a special gift?" Gina cynical.

"I didn't do anything as Miss thought."

"Oh yeah? Or you might not do it yourself." Gina looked at Surya sharply.

"I mean Miss?" Surya frowned at the sign of not understanding.

"Which shaman did you hire to use Papa?" Hearing Gina's words, Surya smiled wryly.

"You're from the village, right? I'm sure there are still practices like that."

"Many cities too, Miss. People call them psychics."

"Well, you know that. Or which psychic did you hire to get Papa out?"

"I also didn't expect to get this much responsibility."

"really? I think you're like you're above the clouds now. Soon you'll be sitting in the chair of the president of the R-Company." Gina clutched her hands together on her chest while still holding a cynical look at the man who according to his assessment was very retro.

"Come, Miss. But R-Company is a very big company. I still doubt if I can do it."

"You're not even sure of your abilities, but why does Papa trust you so much?" Gina began to think there might be something awkward.

"Is it possible that this is Papa's wits that I would like to enter the Company?"

"I don't know, Miss."

"And again. I'm marrying you? You're not even worth it even if you're dreaming of it."

"I know, Miss." Surya always calmly answered Gina's words. It seemed that he had always paid respect to his boss' daughter.

"You should be able to refuse Papa's gift."

"I've rejected it, Miss."

"really? You must be just pretending to reject it. You must be just shy about it."

"No Miss. To be honest I could never refuse Mr. Rangga's orders. It was written in the contract that I was obliged to carry out all the orders of my superiors."

"Oh yeah? If Papa wants you dead, are you going to die?"

"Only God can make me die, Miss. Mr. Rangga can't."

"You're good at talking apparently." Gina glared at Surya. Surya still looked at him respectfully as if he was Gina's subordinate. Although indirectly, but Gina is the daughter of his boss so technically he also has to respect him.

"So, if Papa wants us to get married, you'll marry me too?"

"Yes Miss."

"Well, you'd be so happy to actually marry me." Surya smiled knot.

"Who can refuse to marry a beautiful girl and come from a rich family like Miss."

"Ehhem... Of course." Hearing Surya's praise, Gina became misbehaved. He tucked his hair behind his ear. Looks clear-eyed diamond earrings a drop that decorates beautifully in place.

"Especially you're just Papa's errand boy. You must be so flattered to be Papa's 'honored' golden boy and so glorified in such a way."

"I'm always just following Mr. Rangga's orders, Miss."

"Government.. commandments. You're not the buffalo that shuffled his nose. Why do you obey Papa so much?" Cerocos Gina's.

"Alright, you might not be able to resist being the leader of the R-Company. But marrying someone you don't know? Are you sure you're just gonna sacrifice your life?" Gina's voice was rising. He knew the parking lot was deserted so he could talk as he pleased.

"I know."

"Then?"

"Because I have to marry Miss."

"Why?"

"Because Miss really wants to seize my position in the company. So Miss has to marry me as per Mr. Rangga's terms."

"Yes, but you know Papa is very cunning. Didn't he also say we will review our relationship after marriage. He won't easily hand over his seat to me. He will continue to monitor our relationship. Just imagine that I already feel like I'm going to play a drama with you later."

"Drama?" Surya raised his eyebrows confused.

"Yes, I'm thinking about a drama scenario with you."

"With me?" Surya began to understand Gina's intentions. If her guess was correct, it must be what Gina meant.
