Surya walked in from his room followed by Hanna in the back. Surya's broad steps make Hanna inevitably have to match her steps. But Surya suddenly slowed his legs when he saw the scene he caught.
"You said Gina was having lunch."
"true."
"But he's there." Surya pointed towards the garden. Hanna also threw a glance in the direction Surya pointed.
"Maybe Miss Gina is done."
"Next time don't leave him alone. You're his personal assistant so you should always be with him whenever and wherever especially if it's still in office hours like this." Surya looked at Hanna and smiled while giving an explanation.
"Good."
"You also have to learn what he likes and dislikes." Surya continued then while starting to continue his steps.
Hearing that Gina finally remembered something. Mr. Marco is a man Gina doesn't like. So he should be able to save Gina from uncomfortable situations when meeting Marco. There was a hint of guilt that Hanna felt when she realized that.
Surya directs his steps to approach the two people who are talking on the bench under the flamboyant tree. Hanna was still following behind him. Getting closer, I heard Gina and Marco talking.
"No dating?" Surya asked Gina and Marco as he stood just a few steps away from where they were sitting. Gina and Marco looked at each other.
"Oh, Mr. Surya is here. I intended to go straight to the head of HRD but seeing Miss Gina sitting here I felt like I should greet her first. As old friends we need a little chat to keep the friendship going." Marco said with a smile on his toothpaste advertisement. Gina smiled wryly while turning her face to hear Marco's words.
Gina knew, whatever the explanation, it would not affect her relationship with Surya because Gina and Surya had agreed not to interfere with each other's affairs. Although Gina is with anyone, Surya will not be affected by it and vice versa. Gina would not mind if Surya had any closeness with any woman. Whether it is closeness in the general sense that may be related to work, friendship or any relationship, or closeness in a special sense for example is a girlfriend.
"Yes, it's much needed." Answer Surya friendly. Surya always knows how to behave.
"Alright, I have to go to meet your HRD chief so that the change of administrative agreement can be handled immediately."
"Mr Marco shouldn't have come alone to take care of this. You can get your employees to do it."
"Actually my HRD employee is handling a lot of work so I will do this myself to slightly reduce the workload."
"Well, you're a very understanding boss." Praise Surya still with his friendly smile. Gina noticed that. It turned out that people like Surya who Gina often saw as cold and formal, could show a warm attitude as well.
"Not really. I just give them a sense of comfort while working."
"It seems I have much to learn from you in treating employees."
"Is your HRD clerk a woman?" Ask Gina suddenly.
"Yes. How do you know?" Marco curious.
"No, I'm just guessing." Gina showed off her sarcastic smile. After that Marco was really pleased to leave the place. Gina was still sitting on the bench under the tree, Surya watching Marco move away from them. So did Hanna who had just become a viewer there.
"Miss, we better get going now." Said Surya who was still standing in front of where he sat. Gina still enjoys the breeze. Hanna is back in her room by Surya's orders.
"Where?"
"To the Airport."
"Why?" Gina frowned not understanding Surya's intentions.
"Papa and Mama are going to start their vacation trip this afternoon."
"Oh..." That was Gina's response.
"Let's go to the airport so we can still take them."
"You guys. I was lazy everywhere. The weather is very hot." Gina was still not budging from her place.
"But Miss, we have to convince them that we're okay right now."
"For what?"
"To create an image for Papa to believe we have a good relationship."
"What's important?"
It is also true what Surya said. Her father couldn't have just left them. On vacation? It was just a word that his father was living. But he had many people to keep an eye on him. He knew Surya understood that well because he had worked for his father for many years.
"All right, let's say good-bye. Let's make Papa feel calm with his vacation so that he feels at home for a long time there. That would be so good for us." Gina walked ahead of Surya towards the parking lot. Surya followed behind him.
The city center never stops with its busyness. Even hours like this. Vehicles passing through the heat of the paved road like no matter the hot weather. Everyone has their own busyness at this hour. The car stopped at a fork with a red traffic light. Since the start of the drive, not a word came out of the mouth of Gina and Surya. They really don't build conversation at all. Surya deliberately let Gina enjoy her journey with her silence. He knew Gina didn't like to talk to him much less that it was just a stale talk from him.
Gina was never interested in talking to Surya if not for some purpose. He thought about what to talk to Surya. Especially at this time he felt he had no interest in the husband of his choice Papa that. It is better to be silent than to have to establish communication with him. Gina does not want Surya to misunderstand and thinks Gina is starting to accept their relationship.
After the car walked a few meters leaving the green-lit traffic light, Surya suddenly stopped his car on the side of the road and exited after opening the door.
"Wait a minute, Miss." Pamit Surya before getting out of the car. Gina did not respond and just looked towards the curious Surya.
From inside the car, Gina's view followed the footsteps of Surya who crossed the front of the car body which turned out to lead to a grandfather who was selling on the side of the road. Gina saw Surya talking to the cracker seller's grandfather. Gina had no idea what Surya was talking about with the grandfather but then it was seen that Surya took out his wallet and paid some money to the grandfather. From there Gina knew Surya meant to buy her handkerchief. But even from a place a little far Gina knows how wide the fractional money paid. Gina was still watching Surya carry some crackers in his hand and headed for the car.
"You, buy all these crackers?"
"Yes." Yeah." Said Surya while putting his seat belt back on.
"For what?"
"For a snack."
"This much?" Gina pointed at a bunch of crackers in their backseat.
"Yes Miss." Surya throws his smile at seeing Gina being astonished at him.
"I'm sure you'll fly after eating this many crackers?"
"Let's get both of us together."
"don't want. I've never eaten such food."
"This manure is healthy, miss. Frying without oil?"
"Without oil? How come?"
"Yes, it's fried using sand."
"What's? Sand?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"You think I'm stupid? I'm not a kid so don't tell stories."
"I'm serious, Miss."
"How can you?" Gina did not believe it.
"Next time I'll show you how to fry it."
"Ahh, don't bother. I'm not interested." Gina looked straight ahead. Surya simply responded with a smile.
Inside the VVIP airport waiting room Pak Rangga was enjoying his coffee which still reflected smoke. Bu Marina sat next to her staring at the television screen showing a soap opera film. Since a while ago, he was released, so he had a habit of watching soap operas. The flagship TV show of almost all mothers in this country. Finally, Bu Marina lived her life normally like other housewives because she was no longer busy with her affairs in the R-Company which was very time consuming.
"Will Gina come?"
"Of course." Replied Mr. Rangga while looking at his wife.
"I'm not sure our stubborn son will come."
"Surya is a very appropriate man for Gina. I'm sure he can bring her here."
"You're so sure."
"I've been with him all this time. I know how Surya did it. He has skills that no one else has."
"What?" Ask Bu Marina. Mr. Rangga did not reply and just pointed towards the entrance of the waiting room made of transparent glass. Bu Marina turned her head in the direction intended by Mr. Rangga. Gina and Surya walked towards the direction they were. Bu Marina was shocked. What her husband said was right. Ms. Marina is convinced that Gina's words are correct. Surya has the science of pellets. And now Gina was also hit by that pellet.
