Hold me not
Give me back my mind
My thoughts that you've taken
Starve me to care
Could the night help me shut you out?
You have me a lesson
Not to go and dive
But I already dive
A song by Weird Genius chanted this morning from a Solar car audio device. Gina was still sitting quietly looking at the morning atmosphere of the highway and as usual there was not much conversation between the two of them. Surya and Gina did not want to build any talks until now. Until finally Surya stopped his car even though they had not reached the destination.
"Hey, why stop here?" Gina protested.
"Shortly Miss." Surya took off the seat belt and opened the car door.
"Where are you going?" Gina asked again out of curiosity Surya suddenly stopped and got out of his car. But unfortunately Surya had already come down and closed the door before hearing Gina's next question.
"Ahh, that person is happy to stop suddenly in any place." Gutu Gina with a look around the car stopped. A crowded area with sidewalks filled with some street vendors.
Still in Gina's car and circulate the view looking for where Surya is. His eyes began to search for what Surya was doing by getting out of the car like that. As sharp as Gina used her eyes, it turned out that Surya's movements were too fast and Gina was unable to find it with her sight.
"Where is he? Why so long." Gina starts to get nervous because she lives alone in the car.
Finally he found Surya was buying a cake from a street vendor there. An old man whose body was a little bent. Gina watched Surya who was having a friendly conversation with the old man. Gina knew because Surya seemed to be chatting with a smile that could not be separated from his lips.
As Gina was still watching Surya from afar, suddenly someone knocked on the car glass next to Gina. Gina was a little shocked and turned her head for a moment.
"Sir, open the glass." Gina seemed hesitant between having to open the window of the car or ignoring the person. He didn't want to deal with the starters or thugs who would ruin his makeup this morning.
"What's wrong?" Suddenly Surya was beside the man who knocked on Surya's car.
"Oh Mas Surya's. Long time no stop by here, Mom." Greet the man wearing the light-colored vest.
"Yes." Yeah." Surya smiled at the man in his 30s.
"You're going to work, Mom?"
"Yes, Fer." Surya while extending a hand gave the money to the man.
"No need to Mas. Just stop by. You have to pay for parking."
"Just keep my car stopped here." Surya still gave the man a red note.
"But... Mommy..." The man hesitantly accepted. Then Surya left the man who was busy with a small sling bag on his chest.
"Lho, this is the change." The man chased after Surya who had now opened the car door.
"For the next parking." Surya answered from inside the car with the glass open.
"But the old one still has parking money, Mas."
"Then for the next parking."
"But Mas..."
"I'm hustling. I'll go first." Surya immediately ran his car while smiling at the man.
"Thank you, Mum." Shouted the man because Surya's car had already driven. But Surya still heard it. He rejoined another car through heavy morning traffic.
"You're a rich man who likes to squander your money." Gina's comment suddenly.
"Waste money?" Surya frowned and looked at Gina at a glance and then he looked straight ahead of the road they were going through.
"You're paying that kind of parking fee, not squandering his name?"
"Oh, that's.he's like my friend, Miss."
"You're friends with the parking lot guy, too? Well, you did put yourself in different walks of life. You're also quite generous to your friend." Gina Cibir. Surya just smiled in response to that.
"Oh yes, Miss, please open the box." Surya then gestured to Gina with his eyes pointing at the box above the Surya dashboard. Gina obeyed and opened it.
"What's this?" Once opened, the box emits a delicious aroma typical of coconut.
"That's a rangin cake, miss."
"Rangin's cake? You know this cake?" Gina blinked her eyes looking at Surya who knew many kinds of food including the rangin cake that Gina knew this for the first time.
"Yes Miss, that's my favorite cake. A kind of traditional cake."
"I don't know this cake. This cake comes from the village." Answer Gina.
"That's so good, miss. There are two types of cake made. Rugged rangin cake and smooth rangin cake. This rangin cake that I bought is a fine rangin cake, Miss. I call it that because the texture is different. What I bought this was a smooth cake. It's the only one I've found in this town, miss. If the cake is rough, in the village market I usually have. Sometimes if we go home again I'll show you." Gina looked at Surya's explanation.
"Please get me a piece, Miss. The knife's on the dashboard." Surya's Order.
"Would you like to drive while you eat? Isn't that troublesome?"
"Yes Miss. Actually I can't just have breakfast with muffins. My stomach is the village stomach. Otherwise the rice or portions are small, I'm not full yet." Surya then chuckled. Gina was singing her lips.
"Oh my God, how are you. Falling cake. I told you driving while eating is troublesome."
"I'm sorry, Miss." Gina picks up a fallen rangin cake and throws it away in the small trash can of Surya's car. Then Gina took another piece of the cake. But this time when Surya will receive it, Gina instead directly thrust into front of Surya's lips.
"Sorry, Miss?" Surya did not understand Gina's intentions.
"Just open your mouth." Gina. Surya glanced at Gina at a glance as he still had to concentrate on the road in front of her which was quite dense. Then Surya obeyed Gina opening her mouth and biting the cake.
"Thank you, Miss." Surya chews while smiling.
"You're really troublesome."
"I'm sorry, Miss. But a hungry stomach is much more troublesome. That will give me my concentration. I had to drive and especially after this I had to attend an important event for the opening of the R-Store. It would be very dangerous if suddenly my speech digresses everywhere because my concentration power is not up to 100%."
"Yes.it's up to you." Gina put another cake in Surya's mouth. But suddenly Surya's car was shaken and it made Gina who was feeding Surya so shocked.
"What the fuck are you, Surya." Jerk Gina in shock.
"Sorry Miss, the bike suddenly cut off the road so I was surprised." Gina then looked towards the front. A mother with her motorbike seemed to be casually walking in front of Surya's car.
"Ahh, the street queen." Mumbled Gina.
"You know mothers are street queens now? They're more troubling than the wild racers." Surya laughed at Gina's words. Gina also laughed after looking at Surya.
"Surya you're so funny." Still with a laugh.
"Funny?" Surya was astonished by Gina's sentence which suddenly said that she was funny.
"Your face... Oh my..." Gina was still with the rest of her laughter. Then he took a tissue. But Surya prevented Gina's hand from touching her face.
"What are you doing, Miss?"
"His windy cake was a mess everywhere because you slammed your steering wheel earlier. Let me clean your face." Surya still holds Gina's wrist.
"No Miss, I'll clean it myself."
"You're driving, how can you clean your dirty face. Already, here let me do it." Then Surya let go of Gina's hand and let her wipe her face. Gina slowly cleansed Surya's lips, nose and cheeks which were full of crispy cookies. Surya calmly treated Gina like that. But when looking at Surya's brownish eyes suddenly Gina's heart pounded faster than before. Gina hurriedly took some distance from Surya.
"It." Said Gina while removing the old tissue that she used to wipe Surya's face.
"Thank you, Miss."
"No problem." Gina became misbehaved and took a deep breath trying to dampen her nervousness.
Gina intended to feed Surya some more windswept cake but he refused.
"Already Miss. I'm already full. Thank you." Thank you."
"Well, you eat a lot of food too. Three cakes this big go into your stomach."
"Yes Miss, I am a hardworking man. I have to eat a lot to be able to do a lot of things."
"Many things what? Are you a building porter?" Gina again sneered. Surya laughed a little in response to Gina.
"Try Miss, this cake is delicious."
"really?" Gina looked at the cake in her hand that she did not feed Surya earlier. Then he put it in his mouth too. At the first bite, which is felt on his tongue is the taste of cake with the dominance of savory and delicious taste of coconut milk with a little coconut grater in it. Gina likes that.
"It feels good." Praise Gina.
"But for a cake as simple as this, it's expensive too."
"No Miss. The cake was cheap."
"Precisely what. This box of cookies you bought for a hundred thousand. I saw you when I paid for this cake."
"Oh that's because the seller doesn't have change, miss."
"Once again there is no change." Gina muttered considering the parking attendant also said he had no change.
"Right Miss, it's still too early for them to get that kind of change. So I just left it because I was in a hurry.
"You're so nice to leave your change to someone else."
"Like the parking lot, the old father of the cake seller is also like my friend. I am his loyal customer. He is almost 80 years old but still has to work to find a lust for himself, Miss."
"Oh yeah? Why not ask your children?"
"He has no children, Miss."
"You know that?"
"Yes Miss, I've been a regular since I lived in this town." Obviously Surya.
"A year ago his wife also died. So he's just living here now, miss. Working for himself for a man of Mr. Tris's age is very difficult. So what's the trouble if we can help by buying the merchandise."
"And overstated his pay. I understand what you mean." Cut Gina. Surya smiled again because what Gina said was indeed true.
"I always salute people who work hard like Mr. Tris, Miss. Such people can always motivate me to work hard and not give up easily. They also made me feel very grateful for what I am getting now. So I'm happy to share it with them."
"It looks like you're a perfect fit to be social minister." Gina's chirps suddenly and was greeted with a loud laugh by Surya.
