"What?" Gina blinked her eyes trying to understand Surya's words. Then Gina looked out her closed car window and saw a signboard in front of a building that read 'Gina's House'.
"This what? Why's name..."
"I'm going to go inside. If you want to know, you can come in." Invite Surya to be careful so that Gina does not feel that it is a ruled.
"Why should I go in with you." Answer Gina indifferently.
"Alright, I'm going in first, Miss." Surya got out of his car and opened the trunk of the car to take out the groceries he had bought earlier in the market. From inside Gina's car saw Surya lifting those things into the house. But when he came out of the house to pick up another item, Surya was followed by a young man behind him.
"I'll take this one, sir." Gina's vegetables heard the voice of the man who was with Surya.
"Don't sir, let me bring him in." Ban Surya.
"No sir, it's heavy. I used to lift heavy weights. Let me just." Obviously the man is.
"All right, thank you, sir."
Gina was still in the car watching Surya and the man who several times moved things in the car to put in the house. This is the last box that Surya will bring in. But just a few steps, suddenly the cardboard brought by Surya broke down at the bottom. Seeing that Gina then went down. Surya who was busy picking up the packaging of instant noodles scattered about the fall was rather surprised to see Gina who came to help him. Surya smiled at what Gina was doing.
"Thank you, Miss." Said Surya to Gina after all the instant noodles went into the cardboard that had been repaired by Surya before.
"Let me take it." Gina grabbed the cardboard that Surya was carrying and walked ahead of him to enter the house. Surya smiled again at Gina's behavior. He had to be patient and careful in dealing with Gina. The woman in front of him was not easy to deal with. Sometimes he's good, sometimes he's chatty, sometimes angry, sometimes calm, his attitude is changing so Surya must be clever to determine the attitude.
Like this time when Gina suddenly turned good even brought cardboard into the house of the foundation. And with a slow pace Surya followed Gina.
"Who is this?" Welcome a middle-aged woman who turned around from facing the pile of groceries brought by Surya in the front room of the house when Gina just stepped inside.
"Excuse me, Mother. I'm delivering this." Gina smiled as she lifted the box she was carrying.
"You..." The mother hung up the sentence as the young man who helped Surya lift things whispered something to her.
"Aah, yes. Sorry to be a hassle. Should have let Mr. Roni lift it.
"It's okay, Mom. It's light." Gina walked up to the pile of groceries and put the box down with the other grocer.
"Welcome to Gina's House." Gina looked at each mother smiling her smile looked very gentle and motherly.
"I'm Siswati, the children here used to call me Mother Wati. You, Mr. Surya's wife, aren't you?"
"I..." Uncompleted Gina replied, she felt something hit her. Spontaneous Gina turned her head and it turned out that what hit her was not something but someone. A little boy. The boy sat on the floor. Gina helped him stand up. The boy looked at Gina with a look that Gina did not understand. Is the boy scared? Or is this kid going to cry? Or is he in pain when he falls? That was what Gina thought when she saw the child not blinking looking at her.
"Are you, Princess Sal..."
"Nadia, are you okay?" Gina who was helping the child stood up turned her head towards Surya who was walking from the direction of the door.
"Solar Sons." The face changed as it saw Surya coming.
"You okay?" Surya asked when he was close to a girl named Nadia whose long hair was tied in a ponytail.
"I'm fine." The answer made Surya breathe a sigh of relief.
"Sister, is she the Princess..."
"Nadia, I have a lot of cookies, share them with other brothers." Surya paid no heed to Nadia's words and offered her the cakes she used to bring to the children in the house.
"It's your favorite, Mom." Surya handed him a bunch of crackers he bought before going to the airport.
"Oh my God, you still remember." Bu Wati's face sumringah saw what Surya brought.
"Where did you get this from?"
"I didn't even get it in the market and in the crackers who used to pass in front of the house."
"That means these crackers are a match with mom."
"Thank you." Said Bu Wati with a happy face. Then Surya walked over to Nadia.
"Come on." Nadia according to when Surya took his hand to the pile of cardboard filled with cakes and snacks that he brought for the children in this foundation. Surya brought a cardboard and went with Nadia to the inside after saying goodbye.
"I'm going to hand out these cookies." Bu Wati nodded her head in favor.
Gina looked at Surya and Nadia who were entering a hallway in the house. From where she stood, Gina could hear the boisterous sounds of children playing. They're probably playing in this backyard.
"This is our cottage, Miss." Bu Wati's voice resuscitated Gina who was still watching Surya's footsteps. Gina turned her face towards Bu Wati with a smile.
"This is the first time Surya has brought a woman into this house. And that's you, his wife." Ms. Wati approached Gina and guided her to sit on a rattan chair in the living room.
"I know now, because of his kindness God finally gave him the gift of a very beautiful wife like you." The sentence Bu Wati sounds to contain praise for Gina as well as for Surya.
"Ahh, I could have." Gina felt uneasy being praised like that by a woman she just met.
"Surya is a good boy. I'm saying this not because he's generous and helps out a lot at this orphanage but he's a good person." Praise Bu Wati again.
"All the kids loved it. He was like the oldest brother to them. Ever since he was in college, he's been coming here a lot, even if it's just to deliver toast when he sells."
"Surya sells toast?" Ask Gina.
"He never told you?" Gina shakes.
"Maybe he doesn't want to divide the time where he's still not quite right now." Ms. Wati fixed her seat.
"Surya did go to college at the cost of someone who was very good to him. But he also has an obligation to help provide for his family. Therefore, while in college he also sells toast around the night. Sometimes he also sells packaged rice that he entrusted in stalls. What he can do as long as he makes money, he does everything that matters. Only in his last year was he accepted to work part-time at a company that until now had been his place of work. He said that the owner of the company was the one who financed his college."
Gina still looked at Surya who was engrossed in playing a romp with some boys and girls in the orphanage's backyard. From some of the stories told by Bu Wati, Gina can guess how difficult the life of Surya in the past. He received free tuition from his father and had to work the results to be given to his parents in the village. That might be what makes him as generous as he is now. Because he knows how hard it is to live in incompetence.
Perhaps because Surya felt that someone was watching him, he turned towards Gina who was looking at him closely. And, Surya could hardly believe his vision when Gina threw a smile at him. Surya was not sure what the meaning of Gina's smile was.
"Sister, let's play with us." I don't know when it came but suddenly there was a child pulling the edge of Gina's shirt.
"Play what?" Tanya Gina lowered her head looking towards the child whose height was only half Gina's body. Plus Gina was wearing a hight heel, the boy looked small.
The boy ignores Gina's questions and instead pulls her to join the other kids in the yard. Gina said as the child led her closer to the crowd of children who were either 20 or 25 children playing in the spacious backyard.
From such a close distance Gina finally knew what game they were playing. Actually it can also be called sports. Sport kasti. As Gina approached a child was carrying a ball to throw at an opponent before they scored. Gina is a new player and doesn't know which team to join yet so she's just standing on the edge of the yard. He saw the game was pretty good. The kids ran around here and there, and so did Surya. From there Gina knew it was now the turn of the Surya team who had to keep the opponent from scoring. Seen from a child who threw a ball towards Surya and he caught it right. But because the opponent dodged finally throw Surya did not hit the opponent.
Next the ball is held by another child and seems to be targeting another child who is the opposing team. The boy was about to run to a post near Gina and the ball-holding boy tried to throw him with the ball. But the throw missed and "Dukk" the ball hit a head.
"Aww!!" Pekik Gina spontaneously held her head. The atmosphere suddenly calmed down. There is no fanfare. All the children were in their respective places after seeing the incident.
"Miss is okay?" Surya asked when he was near Gina.
"It hurts a lot." Gina was already sitting on the grass right now holding her aching head.
"Here, let me see." Solar touched Gina's head.
"Aww, sick." Shouted Gina when Surya's touch hit the part that looks like a bump after colliding with the ball. Next what Gina felt was a gentle breeze touching the crown of her head. Gina glanced upwards and all she saw was Surya blowing his head off as if to make Gina feel better.
From that angle Gina could see a very serious Surya blowing on the top of Gina's head while holding the back of her head. I don't know why Gina enjoyed it. He felt a calmness that he seemed to have felt before.
