Officers Dinner

"Welcome, Miss." Greet the head of the production division who saw it coming. Gina nodded kindly and took a seat on one of the chairs and Hanna was next to her. Then he chose the menu he would order tonight as his dinner. After finding the menu that Gina wanted, Hanna called the waitress to deliver her order.

The dining table looks warm. Just this time Gina had dinner with the division heads outside R-Company. He only ever held a party and dine with the R-Company officials during his inauguration as the new R-Company President at that time. After that he never did it again. With this he felt he had to do it again next time to establish a closer and better relationship with the employees. It will definitely have a positive impact on the performance of employees.

Gina took her order along with the other table dwellers. Beef steak that Gina received did look very delicious with the aroma of sauce containing spices it smelled very tasty. But then his attention was caught on the plate in front of him. There's an initial on one side. The initial letter R belongs to R-Company. He then looked more observant and it turned out to be true, it was a plate produced by his factory. Then Gina held a knife and a fork in her hand. He flipped over the back and there was actually an initials of the letter R too. The white tablecloth he was touching also seemed to have an embossed texture that was familiar with the initials of the letter R in the motif. The flower vase, which contains artificial tulips, also has the initials R on one side. Gina also flipped over and saw that the chair she was sitting on had the initials R on the part where she was leaning. Gina then circulated the view to the entire cafe and saw a lot of furniture purchased from the R-Store. Even the chandelier was also a limited production R-Company last month. Gina becomes suspicious if maybe one of her employees is actually the owner of this cafe. But of course it was only in his own mind.

Seeing her like that, Gina felt her actions of informing Marco of her whereabouts was appropriate.

"What's up, Miss? Do you not like the food? Can I order another menu?" Hanna asked in surprise because she saw Gina watching her.

"No, no need. It's tasty. Be eating. I'll eat too." Hanna then continued eating because she saw Gina was fine with the menu she was now feeding into her mouth.

"Good night all." Greet someone at the end of the table from a few seats away. Gina turned her head as soon as she heard that familiar voice. Solar Sound. Just then Surya also looked at her with a smile to greet her.

Surya who was currently sitting right in front of Gina made her unable to dodge every single Surya looking at her. Somehow the atmosphere like that became a bit strange for Gina at the moment.

"You are great, sir. Apart from R-Company, now you are a successful culinary entrepreneur. I'm reading your article and don't feel surprised because it's been working with you for a long time so I know your amazing ability in developing business. After the recently viral angkringan stall, now you start venturing into the cafe business. Equally a culinary place, but I'm sure you definitely have another calculation here." Said one of the men at the table.

"You're overreacting." Surya responded casually. Gina felt like the people at the table were unaffected by the past she and Surya had lived. They did not feel awkward about Surya's presence while Gina was also at the table. Either they don't care about her personal life or they've forgotten about her relationship and Surya first, which obviously makes Gina feel more comfortable. They talked about everything and of course it was more about work.

"I see all the furniture here is also a production of R-Company. You really still have a big hand on R-Company."

"I can't use other products because I don't know for sure how the quality is so choosing R-Company products makes me calmer because I believe fully in all R-Company products that are already very clear good quality." Hearing Surya's explanation, everyone on the table clapped. Seeing everyone clapping, including Hanna, Gina also patted her hands as well. He looked around and found bright faces supporting what Surya said.

From that Gina became to know why her employees still respect Surya even though he was no longer their boss. Surya is very good at being a leader and also being a friend so they are very comfortable with him like this. Gina hurriedly turned her face when suddenly Surya turned his gaze to her. He did not want Surya to know how he was secretly admiring him. And to disguise it, Gina said goodbye to go to the toilet. He had to stay away from there for a moment so as not to get immersed in the charm of Surya which makes him continue to worry.

Gina breathed heavily upon entering the toilet. He washed his face and tried to clear his mind. Looking at his face in front of the mirror.

"Gina, you need to be able to control your heart. Don't let Surya know your heart." Gina said to herself in front of the mirror. After that, he came out of the toilet. His face looked fresh now that the water had touched him.

"Miss..." Gina who had just taken a few steps left the toilet and turned her head.

"Come here." Surya who was walking towards him now had already pulled his hand to head somewhere.

"What are you doing?" Gina asked in surprise with Surya's treatment. But Surya ignored that and took Gina to a place on the side of the cafe. There Surya stopped and turned around to look at Gina.

"I've missed you. Why never pick up my phone and don't reply to messages I send?" Surya asked as he looked at Gina's eyes deeply looking for answers inside.

"I'm busy." That was all Gina said while looking the other way to avoid Surya's eyes. He was afraid that his lies would be known to the man in front of him.

"Is there a problem with R-Company?"

"Oh no, no. R-Company is doing very well. You see for yourself we can even eat together, don't you?"

"Thank God then." Surya said with a sigh of relief because he had worried about R-Company because of Gina's busyness even to make him not have time to reply to his messages.

"If anything happens, don't forget to contact me, miss."

"You think I can't handle R-Company?" Gina looked at Surya cynically.

"It's not so, Miss. But I want to always be there for you." Surya replied seriously. It made Gina become misbehaved to hear it because she felt like her heart was tingling with pleasure.

"In any case, I wish you could count on me."

"Ehem... Surya, I'm actually rethinking what I told you." Surya raised his eyebrows out of curiosity with which word Gina.

"I'm afraid you might misunderstand me. Or you could have misinterpreted my words. What is clear is that I allow you to seduce me does not mean I give you hope that we can be together again in the end. So don't be so confident. It still depends on how you can make me feel back for you." Gina said firmly. Hearing that Surya smiled. Surya understood Gina's sentence as someone who was drawing a line with her to make a distance. Whether because Gina does not believe in her sincerity or because Gina's feelings have faded on her, she feels she must put more effort into getting the love Gina once denied.

"Even if you don't give me a chance to get close to you, I'll just keep trying to get close to you anyway. I also just want to start what I've ended. I don't want to regret having to lose you in the end before I make the best effort possible." Gina listened carefully to all Surya's words. Her heart grew more agitated as the more Surya tried, it made Gina even more of a dilemma. Between having to accept Surya or being fixed in principle.

Gina had already returned to her desk by this time. Everyone seemed to be chatting familiarly. Likewise with Hanna who seemed to talk with the division captains. They seemed to be talking about how it used to be when Hanna had just entered as a junior employee.

"Miss Hanna was very young at the time." Said the head of the marketing division.

"I'm still young at the moment, Mom." Cut Hanna and make everyone on that table laugh.

"True, until now you were still young. Compared to us." Then the head of the marketing division laughed. Hanna won't lose either. Gina saw Hanna was really fine now. He even chatted casually with the other officers.

"When you're in production, you're a very exemplary employee. So, no wonder that in the end you got a promotion to become the vice head of production. Then after that Mr. Surya made you Miss Gina's personal assistant. You're so great."

"Right, he's great. He can even make me president now." It was Gina who made everyone laugh again.

Suddenly the atmosphere became quiet. I don't know what was wrong with that sentence but then the head of the finance division regretted having said it because seeing everyone like they didn't dare to respond to his sentence.

"Of course, Miss Gina is the real owner of R-Company so, it's appropriate to hold the highest throne in R-Company." Surya's chirps that walked over after a while had left them. Everyone turned to him who was carrying a tray of desserts.

"Sorry, but we didn't order this, sir." Said one officer.

"This is a special service from our cafe. For guests with party reservations, we provide additional dessert special services and vouchers to be used on the next visit." Obviously Surya was as friendly as ever.

"Well, this is really you. I'm more confident in the success you've achieved. Your marketing ideas are always good. I've got a lot to learn from you." Praise the head of the marketing division.

"Don't it have to be reversed? I got this because I learned a lot during my time at R-Company. Working with people like you all keeps me motivated to keep growing and innovating to advance the ventures I manage."

"Ahh, you've always been low." The head of the marketing division blushed to get praise from a person like Surya. The man who was once his superior.

"So, out of my gratitude to all of you, tonight I will treat you."

"Well, how's this? We were taken by the owner directly." Said one of the division heads with a happy face.

"You are the one who should be thanking you." Everyone thanked Surya. Only Gina had remained silent since then. He only noticed Surya who with good language and speech spoke with former employees who are now guests in his cafe.

Feeling noticed, Surya then turned his eyes to Gina. But this time Gina did not want to dodge. He deliberately faced Surya and tried to find a way out for the dilemma he was feeling. Surya smiled at her and Gina returned her smile. But unfortunately their actions caught several pairs of eyes of other employees. Including Hanna. They seemed to know what Surya and Gina were thinking and smiled at each other to see the former couple in front of them.

"Ehmmm..." Hanna sneers to try to resuscitate Gina.

"This pudding is delicious. Do you have an expert chef who's only in charge of making this pudding?" Hanna asked Surya, who returned to using formal language, to honor him as her former superior in front of other employees.

It was late, and the dinner was over. Everyone including Gina started leaving the table. They came out of the cafe Surya one by one through the glass door. Surya drove them to the front of the cafe.

"Thank you Mr. Surya. May you also be successful with this cafe, not only angkringan stalls." Said an R-Company officer on the cafe terrace.

"Thank you." Surya replied with a smile on his lips. Some of his former employees also had time to say the same words and make Surya feel happy because they have the support of them.

"Surya, I'm home. Congratulations on this new cafe. I hope this can be like your angkringan stall and thrive in some places too." Hanna shook Surya's hand.

"Thank you, Hanna." Surya smiled sincerely.

"I'm also happy. Thanks for the banquet. Success to you." Gina.

Seeing Gina and Surya talking, Hanna said goodbye to wait in the car first. He deliberately gave them space to be more comfortable talking.

"I hope you'll come here often when you miss me."

"Hey, why is it like that? Without you telling me I'd come when I'm hungry." Surya laughed at Gina's words.

"I also hope to get free food like tonight."

"of course. You'll get it."

"Good, I keep your promise."

"I'll be happy to meet you. I even treat them all just so I can meet you tonight."

"What?" Gina wants Surya to make her point clear.

Surya contacted the head of the production division...

"Good, Sir. I'm coming to open your new cafe. I'll also make sure Miss Gina is there." Answer the head of the production division that was once close to Surya.

Surya hung up the phone and put the phone back in his pants pocket. Surya was forced to ask for help from the head of the production division because some days Gina like avoiding it. Not picking up the phone and not replying to the messages he sent. It made her wonder what really happened to Gina. So Surya invited all the top-class officials of R-Company for only one purpose, so that he could meet Gina as if accidentally. Since Surya was convinced that if he asked to meet in person, Gina would probably avoid him.

Gina waited for a reply from Surya who smiled at her instead. It made Gina become anxious.

"Alright, then I'll go home." Gina paused and pretended not to be affected by the way Surya made her curious.

"Good night, Miss."  Reply Surya released Gina's departure.

He looked at Gina's body walking behind him. The woman had completely taken control of her heart. Plus ever since Gina revealed the content of her feelings to him time, she felt like a clove-loved shoot had arrived. He had tried to stop thinking about it because he felt he had been with Siska. But in the end he should prefer to be honest with Siska about his feelings.

Surya took a deep breath as the car that Gina was riding began to leave the courtyard of his cafe and look at it until it turned at a corner not far from there.
