Solar Throne
Hide out

Marco's voice saying the qobul ijab was heard coming out of the building. Gina could hear that. He quietly leaned against the wall in front of the building in front of which there is a garden dominated by scribbling flowers that are shaped. At that time, Surya was in the car and saw Gina. He accidentally stays in his car and can only look at Gina from where she is now.

He did not want to ruin Gina's mood today by appearing before her and reneging on the promise he had made himself. After a long time he kept it, he would try to keep it that way until now. Until finally the wedding ceremony was over and Gina went back into the building. Surya started to open the car door and came down from inside. He knew he would definitely meet Gina at this place. But he already planned to try to avoid it as much as possible. Surya can't miss Hanna's wedding.

Surya started walking closer to the building and opened another door from the building. His eyes remained alert so that he could always control his distance from where Gina was. As of now, Surya was among the crowd of invited guests who had just arrived while Gina was in front of the dish tables.

From where he stands now, Surya can see Gina taking cat rice and satayan variety to put into her plate. Surya smiled to see Gina eating quail egg satay, shellfish satay and other typical angkringan side dishes. Gina is still the same. Still really like to eat. He also seemed to like the angkringan. Then Surya could more freely pay attention when his friends came and chatted with him. Surya felt unable to take his eyes off the smiling Gina even laughed like that. There was a sense of relief in his heart seeing Gina who might have been able to forget him because that was his greatest hope at the moment.

"Solar Pak?" Sapa a man who is a friend of the businessman union and several times met at the same event.

"Sir, Michele. How are you?" Sapa Surya shook his hand. From the man, Surya could more freely silently stare at Gina from her place because it was slightly blocked by the man's body.

But Surya had to find another place to hide when his friend asked him to leave. The invited guests started to decrease bit by bit. Surya felt his existence began to be more easily known by Gina. He walked into the room behind the building. It was a room where food for dishes was stored.

A waitress saw him coming and bowed her head greeting him. Surya asks her not to tell anyone about her whereabouts there. The pramusaji nodded. In the room, Surya saw how the stock of dishes were stored and also prepared well. But then he opened the door a little to see if Gina was still there or had gone home. And what Surya managed to see was Gina who was sitting in one of the chairs alone. Surya really wants to go to Gina and invite her to talk like before. It's just that he felt he had to stay consistent with his promise so he had to let Gina feel lonely in this crowded place.

I don't know what he was thinking but seeing it made Surya take heavy breaths many times. Her heart was so agitated at the look of Gina's gloomy eyes like that. And he felt finally able to come out of his hiding place after being convinced Gina left that place.

"Why is it too late?" Ask Surya. Marco was in another corner of the building meeting some of his company's top-class employees who were also present.

"Technically I'm not late. It's just that I delayed approaching you." The answer. Hanna raised both eyebrows hearing Surya's words.

"I've been coming since. But, I must keep my promise." Hanna finally knows what makes Surya deliberately late to meet him.

"I really hope he's okay." It was like there was something from Surya's tone that Hanna caught her as Gina that she was talking about. Hanna simply replied with a smile.

Meanwhile, Gina drives her car home. Gina was at Hanna's wedding almost all day and it made her feel tired so she wanted to go home and rest.

"He really didn't come." Murmured Gina who was still running away the car on the road to her house.

Gina thinks Surya's absence makes her believe that the man has really disappeared.

"Where's siska?" Hanna asked because she saw Surya who came alone without her.

"He can't come because he has other activities." Answer Surya.

"Oh, okay." Hanna responded.

"Thank you for preparing an amazing meal for me. All guests are seen enjoying a meal from your catering team." Praise Hanna as her client this time.

"Miss Gina. I see he can't move off the angkringan table. He really likes your angkringan cuisine."

"It wasn't me who cooked it but my kitchen team." Surya meralat's.

"Yes, I mean you're the boss." Hanna made her point clear.

"I know, when you decided to leave R-Company because you were already the boss for your ubiquitous culinary business." Hearing Hanna's words, Surya smiled as he looked away.

"Your angkringan stalls are scattered everywhere and all are growing rapidly. Not to mention your catering business that is busy with schedules and is famous everywhere to the outside of the city. I'm so worried because just yesterday your employees came from out of town for helping a branch there that was hired by a Mayor" Goda Hanna.

"You're pretty good at opening a business like this. You have many acquaintances from the upper class to the lower classes. From among businessmen, officials and from many other walks of life. Why don't you run for the legislature? I'm sure there will be a lot of people supporting you." Surya smiled broadly at Hanna's words that were widening everywhere.

"Of course, don't continue. You could have." Surya replied stopping Hanna from talking more and more later.

"You still feel guilty for Miss Gina?" Hanna asked who was wondering why she was still avoiding her boss.

Surya did not answer immediately but he looked like he was misbehaving and did not know what to answer. Hanna was so sorry to ask him that because it made Surya feel uncomfortable.

"Yes, I'm the one who should always protect her, support her and see her happiness. But I'm actually the one who did the opposite. I was the one who made her cry."

"Do you regret your decision to leave Miss Gina?"

"No. Because he's not an option for me. I already have Siska so she'll never be one of those choices."

"You are a true, loyal man." Cibir Hanna while chuckling.

"But there really isn't the slightest bit of feeling for her?" This time Hanna looked at Surya seriously, no more joking looks from him.

Again Surya smiled knotly in response to Hanna's question. He turned his face the other way for a while before he answered his friend's question.

"I know it must be hard for you, too. But I thought of one thing."

"What?" Surya looked at Hanna.

"The scandal, I know you did it on purpose." Surya smiled as he turned his face away. Hanna knew Surya well enough and knew from his movements that what he said must be true.

"You can't possibly be that careless and make people know what they shouldn't know. You know Mr. Rangga well enough and all the things he can do, but you don't shy away and make it look like you didn't do it on purpose but he can access you." Surya listened to all Hanna's speculations about him.

"Yes, you're right." Surya replied firmly.

"Actually I was afraid that all the things Mr. Rangga lent me made me forget myself. Such a big R-Company and Miss Gina that no man could ever turn her down would make me greedy to have it all. I'm afraid of being a traitor like you're afraid. I was afraid of becoming someone else. So, I have to make it end soon."

Hanna looked at Surya with a feeling of pity that slowly appeared. He could feel how Surya was actually tormented by his position at that time. Although it was something done based on his own ability, but still the burden of feeling he carried must have made him a dilemma. And at this time, upon meeting her again, Hanna felt a little relieved because Surya looked fine. With an unseen burden like the last time we met and said goodbye to resign from R-Company.

"Well, it's time I left. You should get some rest. All your guests have gone home and I have to go too." Pamit Surya while circulating the view to the entire building that there are no guests. There was only Marco with his family in the corner of the building and several waitresses, Surya employees from his catering business.

"May you always be happy." Surya smiled sincerely looking at Hanna, his close friend during this time when they were in R-Company. Not many know, but their friendship is indeed close when outside working hours.

"You too. May you always be happy." Reply Hanna.

"Don't tell Miss Gina about where I am. Can you promise?"

"Well, this is too heavy. He's my superior. If I find out I'm keeping your secret, it'll be over." Hanna's clumsily responded to a smile by Surya.

"As long as it's a secret you've always kept, you'll be safe."

"alright. If I'm caught protecting you from him, you'll have to promise to recruit me into your countless culinary endeavors."

"Don't I don't know what to put you on."

"anything. The cooking tasting section is also enough for me as long as you give me a salary not much different from where I worked before." Hanna laughed after saying that. Surya patted his eel for pretending to feel objection.

🌸🌸🌸

Surya came out of the angkringan stall that began to be visited by visitors. Looking outside the stall many wreaths congratulating the opening of the new 'Rejo' angkringan stall branch today opened. Surya saw some of the bouquets with the names Hanna and Marco, he smiled. His best friend never missed the opening bouquet of every shop opening of his. When he met at his wedding, Surya had invited him to come but Hanna could not promise to attend as usual.

"I'm on leave today."

"You're taking time off for your honeymoon?"

"true." Hanna replied while chuckling.

"Miss Gina will definitely be troubled alone."

"I know, but he even gave me a plane ticket to Paris."

"Oh..."

"I also thought he would have a lot of hassles working alone but he assured me that he could handle R-Company well. The new secretary is also quite deft. So I'm a little calm."

"Good then."

Although Hanna convinced him so but still there is a sense of worry in Surya's heart. Whether Gina would be fine leading the R-Company for the next two weeks, that was her concern all along. But then Surya tried to shift his mind by starting to blend in with his employees to serve the buyers who are increasingly crowded at this lunch hour.

"Feby, I'll have lunch." Gina said as she walked out of her room.

"Good, Miss." The secretary said as she stood up from her seat saluting Gina.

Gina gets out driving her car and is confused what lunch will be this time. She's been lonely since Hanna went on her honeymoon a few days ago. But then he saw a father who was selling rangin cake at that time. Gina then stopped at a place not far from the street food vendors.

"I want one box, sir."

"Good, Miss." Replied Mr. Gina remembered as a seller of cake rangin Surya subscription.

After her order was completed, Gina paid some money and got back in her car. He opened the box and took a cake. Gina eats it and her memory is brought back the first time she ate this cake with Surya. Then he stopped chewing and took a heavy breath. Suddenly he felt something. His longing for Surya alighted again and made his chest like it was pressing, very heavy.
