"What do you mean by 'even though you want to'?" Gina asked with curiosity and an expectation that was inside her head.
"Everyone loves service, miss. So even though I like it, but I won't ask you to do it. I didn't teach that. You are the daughter of my boss, how can I do not know myself so." Surya smiled and answered.
"Oh, it's good that you're aware of that." Gina's Response.
Actually Gina was a bit disappointed to hear Surya's answer. His expectations are not like that. He hoped it was related to something involving emotions between them.
"I'll take this plate down. I'll have breakfast downstairs, too. You can't go anywhere and just rest." Gina carried two plates in her hand. One plate is empty, one plate still contains whole fried rice brought by the mother earlier.
Surya knew Gina was going to have breakfast downstairs because the fried rice was already cold. Gina was not used to eating the already cold dishes so she would definitely ask Mbak Yuyun to reheat it.
"None right." Surya can only resign when Gina has ruled so. And so today he really ditches from work. Similarly, Gina who had told Hanna that she would take a few days off to treat Surya until his injuries improved.
Hanna put her phone back on the desk. Just arriving at their study, he receives a call from Gina who informs him that for the next few days he will not come to the office because he has to take care of Surya who is sick. Hanna breathed a heavy sigh. He looked around the room he had just left. For a few days he will be alone and lonely again. He would work alone in that room. Gina also works as long as she does not go to work because she is her assistant. She shouldn't have to do all that if she wasn't Gina's boss.
But Gina is the daughter of the company owner who must be prepared for her responsibility to lead the company later, so that he has signed a work contract will be the best possible assistant Gina and ready to be in any position and level of difficulty including having to experience something like this. Because it has been bound by an exclusive employment contract so that he will only live it until the task is completed.
Gina went down the lowest rung and entered the kitchen. Now the plate was stacked into one on one of his left hands while his right hand was used to call Hanna.
Arriving in the kitchen he saw no Yuyun there. He looked into his room and there was none. Gina then called Yuyun's cell phone.
"Yes Miss." Ma'am Yuyun replied with half a shout. The atmosphere around Mbak Yuyun seemed to be quite crowded.
"Where is Mother Yuyun?"
"I'm at the market, Miss."
"Sir, I want to reheat my fried rice."
"Well, I just got here, miss. Do I have to go back?"
"No, no. No need. Ma'am Yuyun just shop."
"Keep, how's the nasi goreng?"
"Yes, it's easy."
"Miss doesn't like cold fried rice. I'll be home for a minute, Miss."
"No need, Ma'am. I'll heat it myself."
"Really, Miss? Miss sure? Is Miss serious?" Ma'am Yuyun did not believe Gina would do it.
"Yes, of course. It shouldn't be that hard, right."
"Yes, Miss. Miss just put the frying pan on the stove, put the rice on the frying pan and stir it to heat."
"All right." Gina dizzy looking for a fryer.
"Oh yes, Madam Yuyun forgot one thing. Shouldn't I pour cooking oil over the frying pan first?"
"No need, Miss. Heated fried rice does not need cooking oil anymore. It's just been heating up." Definitely Ms. Yuyun.
"Don't forget to tear it up, miss. So that hot fried rice evenly and not charred."
"Yeah Yuyun, it's so easy." After that Gina turned off her phone and started pouring fried rice in a dish then lit the stove in front of her. Gina started to heat up her fried rice.
Once it was hot Gina then turned off the stove and moved the fried rice in the frying pan to move into the dish. Gina carried the fried rice towards the dining table. He also took a glass of orange juice in the refrigerator for him to bring along as well.
When the first bribe, suddenly Mr. Rangga approached him. Gina saw that and immediately knew what her father was going to talk about.
"So, how did Papa calm Mama down?" Gina was the first to open her voice.
"I gave him the TV remote. Now your mama's watching the drama." A new habit of Bu Marina after 'retirement' is to watch dramas from digital TV at this hour. Telenovela is her favorite drama. And at this hour his favorite drama is being aired.
"So, is it true what your mother said?"
"Yes, Right. Surya and I did fight with the thugs last night. And Surya got a knife on his shoulder." Gina's story while still chewing her breakfast.
"If Surya gets hurt, it's my fault. I shouldn't have let Surya help me."
"But he won't do it. How could he see you fighting alone."
"I knew. Be her hurt now."
"Just imagine Papa, a girl who seemed to be in her teens was robbed by three big-bodied men like that. What did Papa think the girl was thinking? He must be very scared." Gina as if asking her Papa to imagine.
"If it had happened to Papa's daughter how would it have?"
"My daughter's a martial artist, I'm not worried about anything. I'm worried about the thugs who robbed him."
"I mean, if if Papa's daughter wasn't a martial arts master and was still a dozen and was surrounded by three big high-bodied thugs in a quiet place, wouldn't Papa be worried?"
"Mmm, yes of course." Answer Mr. Rangga.
"Well, so was I at the time. I was so worried about him. What if they don't just take the motorcycle but also hurt the girl and worse to do something that could damage the girl?" Gina gave a picture to her Papa.
"Why not just call the police? You're not law enforcement so it's better not to be a vigilante."
"To wait for the police to come, surely the robbers are already excited now that they managed to sell the bike on the black market." Gerricks Gina.
"I did it not because I wanted to be a vigilante but because I felt I had to save the girl as soon as possible, before anything worse happened to her. I don't mean to be a hero to anyone either. I have the ability, so what's wrong if I use it to save others."
"Well if that's what you mean. But what if you're the one who got hurt for saving others?"
"Papa doesn't have to worry about me. Didn't Papa pay my coach a fortune to make me good at martial arts?"
"Hahh, you arrogant bastard." Mr. Rangga smiled at the behavior of his daughter.
"I can protect myself very well. Evidently from my fights with many people I never had any serious injuries. I'm always the winner."
"That's enough, don't keep bragging. I'm sick of hearing it." Mr. Rangga is laughing now. Gina laughed too. They look very close. Rarely do they sit together and laugh like that.
True as what Gina told Surya, that she could never get along with her Papa because of the resemblance they had. Not only the faces but also their properties almost have accurate similarities. Equally stubborn and at will. His marriage to Surya was due to his strong Papa will so inevitably Gina had to do it if not to lose her position as the sole heir of R-Company.
"How is Surya now?" Ask Mr. Rangga.
"Is it that bad for her wound?"
"of course. The knife is quite sharp and wide. I don't know how many stitches he's got." Gina put down the spoon and raised her glass to drink.
"You must be very worried."
"Of course." Gina answered spontaneously. But then he realized one thing and looked at his Papa with a look of regret having behaved like that.
"I mean, of course I'm worried. Papa knew his blood was pouring out so hard. I'm so scared. Papa knows I'm not a hematophobe. After all it started from my mistake of involving herself in a fight so I was quite worried and felt very guilty." Obviously Gina and hope her Papa doesn't misunderstand.
"Finally you realize what kind of person Surya is." Gina frowned hearing that. He felt that Mr. Rangga's sentence this time had absolutely nothing to do with what they were talking about.
"The more you know him the more you'll like him."
"Ahh, what did Papa say? That's overkill." Despite the protesting action, Gina's face flushed red. Mr. Rangga knows Gina is hiding her feelings right now. He certainly did not want his father to know what he was really feeling.
Just then his phone rang. New number. Gina held him up to avoid having a conversation with her Papa which led her to confess her feelings to Surya. Gina doesn't want her dad to know that. He felt it was not time his father felt victorious by making himself really like Surya.
"Yes? Oh, well. Put it in the security post. Thank you." Thank you." Gina then hangs up the phone from the driver who bought Surya's medicine.
Mr. Rangga was still watching Gina's movements and that made her somewhat disturbed.
"I'll take Surya's medicine up ahead." Gina moved from her seat.
"Just have Mr. Eko deliver here. Why do you bother to take it." Shouted Mr. Rangga who was not ignored by his daughter.
It wasn't that Gina didn't hear so she insisted on taking her own medication delivered by the driver she ordered but that she felt the need to avoid her Papa. He did not want every sentence of his next Papa would provoke him to admit what he felt. That would be a very embarrassing thing for him. Soon he dropped the heart on Surya who some time ago rejected him blatantly.
"Why take it yourself, Miss. I can deliver it to you." Security is polite.
"No need, sir. I happen to be in front of it too." Gina's lying.
He then went back into the house and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw his father was no longer in his place. That leaves him free to return to the room without having to build up another conversation with her.
Lightly he carried the medicine upstairs in his room. But when he opened the room door he found Surya was sound asleep. Gina slowly approached him and tried not to make a sound so that Surya did not get distracted.
Some time Gina stood near Surya sleeping. Surya's sleeping face looks so peaceful. Gina really likes that. Many times while awake at night Gina stared at the deep face of Surya on the sofa from her bed. Surya's face with a strong line of pointed noses and neat thick eyebrows amazed him. At first Gina admired only that, but over time her admiration caused a beautiful feeling in her heart. Gina knew what a sign it was because she was an expert at it. But he assumed it might only last a few moments because he felt the need for escape when his heart was broken by Faris. Unfortunately the feeling became more serious with the various symptoms of falling in love that he felt. Especially when the feeling felt to Faris like it had disappeared somewhere, Gina was sure that her next love was Surya's.
Gina slowly lowered her body to look down. His face slowly descended toward Surya's face. He became closer and closer to her. Now even Gina is not there until an inch from the face of Surya. From her place, Gina could feel Surya's regular breathing. Gina increasingly wants to touch that face and become with no distance from Surya. Until finally Gina gasped as Surya's eyes opened right in front of her eyes.
"Miss, what are you doing?"
