Teach Me (Naina)

Teach Me (Naina)
Chapter 15

For a while he continued to be alone in the warehouse, hiding among the piles of cardboard so that no one could find. Until his heart calmed back down, and all the sadness passed.

Naina raised her head, rubbing the tears in her eyes before standing up and going into the bathroom. Check his face for a moment in front of the mirror. He complained, looking down while holding on to the sink.

"This is how you want to go out try? 'Kan, ashamed, '" he lamented, closing his eyes.

Gegas Naina washes the face, normalizing the state of swollen eyes. Polished a little make-up to disguise the affected part of the cry. He breathed, better than ever. Then come out and act like normal as if nothing happened.

"Tell!" reprimand Vita, Naina's partner at the cashier's desk.

The girl looked over, smiling as usual.

"Why?" he pretended not to know that everyone was busy looking.

"So the Boss sir saw you, you know. Where did it come from?" ask Vita with her forehead shrunken deep.

Naina rushed to him, grabbed him by the girl's body and whispered, "I had a stomachache. So hurry to the toilet. Not good for the boss."

He bit his lips while nodding, affirming that what he said earlier was true.

"Ooh ... Why didn't you just call me?" search while looking at the computer screen on the table.

"Well, I'm ashamed, Vit. Time again ngeden nyahut, can-can be a matter of business." Naina chuckles followed by Vita who laughs when she imagines Naina in the toilet.

The smile on her lips receded slowly, whistling after Vita was busy serving customers. He sighed, hopefully after this everything that happened will be forgotten easily. Naina returns to her job, noting anything that has been reduced.

Towards Ashar, Naina says goodbye to go home. Previously, he went to the mosque to perform four rakaat worship in the house of God while waiting for Asep to finish the job.

Naina frowned when she heard neither Alfin nor the children in the mosque. Usually, in the afternoon the mosque will be crowded by children who learn to teach with it.

"Where are all the kids? Ahmad is not there either. Did they have a day off, huh?" he murmured while peering from behind the hijab that became the barrier between male and female worshipers.

Naina sighed, glancing at the clock on her phone while sitting in front of the mosque while waiting for time. This time, he did not wait for Asep in front of the store because he did not want to meet with the boss.

The roar of the car broke his daydream, he extended his neck to see who was coming. He smiled as he watched the children who were usually in the mosque get off the luxury car. In their hands each carried a bag of groceries, walking with a smile as bright as the sun.

They were stunned in the courtyard of the mosque, seeing Naina sitting by herself. The girl frowned as Alfin got out of the car while carrying some grocery bags.

"Kids! Why stop here?" reprimand Alfin who has not realized the presence of the girl pujaan.

"That!" One of the children pointed at Naina.

Alfin raised his gaze, smiling involuntarily.

"Come, Brother introduce her," he invited her as he led the children to approach Naina.

The girl in front of the mosque smiled in embarrassment as their views met. Alfin looked more mature, nurturing children who were not his flesh blood.

The young man bowed, whispering something to all the children who came with him. Then, straightened her body again looking at the face of Naina who met.

Curious, that was what was imprinted on the girl's face. Wanted to know what the man whispered to them.

"Assalamu'alaikum, sister Naina is beautiful!" greet them simultaneously.

"Wa'alaikumussalaam's chat. Ahlan wa sahlan (welcome) children all!" reply Naina with a brighter smile.

He went down and stood facing them.

"Ahlan bik!" tell them simultaneously.

"May you hug Brother?" pinta Naina slightly bowed her body in front of all those children.

They scattered without having to answer, hugging Naina in a crowd, making her feel appreciated. They're not much different from him, poor kids are just like him. Died by parents, do not even know who the biological father until adulthood.

His gaze met with Alfin's bead when he raised his face. The smile that the young man carved, looked warm to the point of touching his heart. They were lucky, meeting a kind and responsible young man like Alfin.

"Come, kids! Go back to your rooms!" alfin's decree deliberately expels them in order to be able to mingle with Naina.

They greeted the two, running back to the back of the mosque. It was there that they lived, as did the boarding house Alfin as his nanny.

"They live here?" naina asked pointing at the direction the children were running around.

Alfin nodded, his gaze not separated from the face that looked a little damp. He knew Naina had just cried, but was reluctant to ask because she felt she had not been his business.

"After this mosque were built rooms for them to occupy. Well, you could say I'm their nanny." Alfin walked slowly towards the terrace and sat down followed by Naina.

"Indeed, who built this mosque? He is very generous and cares about their children" Naina said, praising the noble benefactor.

Alfin sighed, looking down for a while while shaking his shoulders.

"Anyone, he certainly has his own reasons for doing something like this. We never know the lives of others, unless we live with him," he said Naina calmly.

The girl's eyes glanced at the grocery bag Alfin was carrying. Curious about the contents.

"That ... what? Are you taking the kids shopping?" Naina pointed at the bag.

"Oh, this is all the kids need. There are books, school supplies and more. Every month there is always a benefactor who sets aside a little for the children here," replied Alfin showing the contents of the bag to Naina.

"You're happy, yeah, taking care of them?" naina asked silently watching the look on the young man's face that drew her heart.

Alfin smiled, playing his fingers nervously. This was his first time talking to a woman after being detached from the past.

"Well, there's a lot of happiness for me when I see them laughing, smiling, or eating. I'm happy, they're all my children" he said, turning to Naina.

The smile embedded on her lips, made Naina's heart beat erratically. He blushed to himself, whimpering from Alfin's gaze distracting.

"They're just like me. I have no parents. I moved from Jakarta and I live here with my uncle and aunt." Naina sighs to remember her life that almost never met happiness.

Childhood must be filled with hard work to help Lita, to become a teenager, even now she has to sacrifice her education just because she does not want to trouble the two middle-aged in the house.

"You're patient, yeah. Everything we experience in this world is a test from God. Every trial has a way out. Be assured that Allah is always with those who are patient."

Naina raised her head, looking at the soft-sliced young man. He smiled and nodded for sure.
