Chapter 23 The Great Secret of Alfin

"Lho, Son? Wanna go where? Be well done," said Aminah, Alfin's mother.

His forehead frowned to see the child who had been wearing a jacket back.

"Alfin wants to go back to the mosque, Mi. Pity the children later no one will take care of," replied Alfin as he stepped down the stairs, just as he visited his room to pick up something he had long stored.

"Why not get here? Umi is still kangen with you," woo the mother while rubbing both shoulders Alfin.

The young man clasped the mother's old hand, kissing her in reverence. The other hand rubbed the cheek of the woman who had given birth to him with gentleness.

"Alfin is also still missing Umi. God willing, Alfin will often go home. Now, Alfin must return to the mosque to look after Alfin's children. Next time, visit them. Umi must be happy," said the young man while staring warmly at his two old beads.

"Udah, atuh, Mi. It's okay, our son has a responsibility now. Don't put a burden on his steps to carry out that noble task. We pray that what Alfin does will get the pleasure of Allah SWT" said Ahmad, Alfin's father.

Aminah kissed the son's hand, stroking his face full of longing. Then hugged him to let go of the longing. Years apart because he was expelled, when he returned he chose to stay far apart.

Aminah took off a hug, again cupping the face of the youngest son she loved dearly.

"This house has been quiet since Umi's children left it. Khadijah goes with her husband, takes care of the farm. Busyro went and settled in his pesantren. Then, now this Umi Bungsu also has his own house containing the children of Allah. Umi is not grateful, but Umi is lonely. If your brother wants to leave his son in this house, Umi would be happy," said Aminah full of sadness.

Alfin. Right, back when they were still with this house was always crowded. Every day was filled with laughter, stories and babbles Alfin who always wanted to know new things he encountered. After they got married, and went to their respective places, leaving Alfin a.

The all-round soul wants to stick to the surface, start exploring the world that makes the glare of both eyes. Late home, the always-attached robe and crow are gone somewhere. The appearance of punk children on the streets. The difference is, Alfin does not install tattoos nor has he ever touched khamar.

She smiled, lowered her eyes on the mother's face, regretting all that had passed.

"We don't want to take Umi with Abi. Umi has cared enough for us from childhood, now is the time to enjoy old age without doing anything. Worship to Allah, the affairs of the world, and all that is, let us do it. Simply sit at home and wait for the arrival of the child and wash Umi and Abi. Yea?" pinta Alfin was sincere from the deepest recesses of his heart.

Aminah smiled haru, nodding in agreement to the Bungsu's request. His son is now an adult, a time that has grown him.

"Alfin punch, yes, Mi. Assalamu'alaikum!" pamit Alfin while peeping the back of the mother's hand.

He came to the old man sitting in the chair, watching their conversation.

"Sahhalallaahu umuurok!" (May Allah make all your affairs easy).

"Aamijin! Assalamu'alaikum, Bi!"

"Wa'alaikumussalaam wa rahatullaah!" Ahmad went up and stood by his wife.

Alfin stared at the two for a while, smiled faintly and turned out to return to his world.

"He always has his own world, but his world should be supported this time. Alfin was right, the older we should be the more worship. Praying for kindness for our children as well as their children" Ahmad said, embracing Aminah's shoulder.

The two were still standing there, staring at the door that opened wide after Alfin's departure. The day had changed, the small desire in Aminah's heart was for her youngest child to stay. Darling, he thought a lot about his foster children in the mosque.

Aminah sighed, looking down rubbing her eyes which suddenly felt hot and wet. Not that she was not supportive, she was just a mother who missed her little baby on the lap.

"Let's go, Ni. I think someone will come to this house again" Ahmad said as his home assistant closed the door.

"Who else is coming, Bi?" aminah asked, watching her husband read the book.

"I don't know Abi either, but Abi's feeling is that someone else is coming home. Whether it's Khadijah, or Busyro. I don't know" Ahmad replied without taking his eyes off the book he read.

Aminah was happy, if it were them she would not feel lonely. At least for the next three nights because both Khadija and Busyro, they will stay at least three days in the house.

Impatiently his heart waited, repeatedly glancing at the open door. I hope they show up soon. He sighed, turning back on the square glass screen in front of him.

"Assalamu'alaikum!"

"Assalamu'alaikum!"

"Grandmother! Grandpa!"

Cheerful cries made Aminah's heart crack. He rose up immediately to his son and grandson.

"Sand! Lisa!" greet her while hugging the two children who came with two other adults.

Ahmad also left after putting his book on the table. Welcome the baby with their two children.

"Enjoy! Abi! How are you?" greet the Eldest while hugging his parents.

"Alhamdulillah, Umi is as healthy as Abi. How are you?" Aminah asked back while looking at the face of the Eldest.

"Alhamdulillah, Sejah again pregnant, Umi. The third child, God willing, has just stepped on the third month" replied Khadijah Alfin's first brother.

"Thank God, O Allah. Umi shakes her heart." Aminah looked at Ahmad full of haru.

"Come, Son. Coming in!" invite Ahmad who flanked his two grandchildren to the son and daughter-in-law.

"Same Abi has met Alfin?" ask Khadijah while sitting on a chair.

"Udah, just got home from here." Aminah regretted not preventing Alfin any longer.

"Oh yeah? Does he keep telling me about his efforts?" Khadijah seemed enthusiastic about telling about his youngest sister.

"Yes, the matrial shop he said," said Ahmad who was busy serving his two grandchildren.

"Yes, but not the usual matrial shop. Umi knows the new shophouse in town? It's Alfin's, Bi. The customers are not ordinary people. Being colonized is also unexpected, bad sister Sejah can be as successful," he said to Alfin.

The two looked at each other, looking at each other. Remembering Alfin's remark that said it was just a small business.

"And Abi knows? The mosque he occupied was funds and building materials all from him, Abi, but he never told anyone. Sejah knew it from his workers at the store. They said Alfin hid his identity as the main donor of the mosque's construction. Then, volunteered as a marbot and took care of the orphans. Oh, God!" Khadijah praised while shaking his head.

The tears of Aminah and Ahmad. The child he considered to be a rogue, apparently kept a big secret that they just as a family, did not know it.

The great secret of alfin.
