Teach Me (Naina)

Teach Me (Naina)
Chapter 18

"Naaina! I'm dropping in," said the manager's voice making Naina jump in shock. The door to the store was locked and all the employees had gone home a few minutes ago.

Naina moved away, keeping her distance from her boss.

"Sorry, Sir. Thank you, but I am waiting for an invitation again," replied Naina while looking down politely.

The man was flinching with both hands put in his pants pocket. Brazing the gaze on the girl who was still lowered and not a second raised her face.

"Why are you avoiding?" the question is full of emphasis.

Naina sighed, this time raising her face staring at the mosque across the street. He waited for Alfin to pick him up.

"Sorry, Sir. I don't shy away, I just don't want to give hope to you. So, I'm asking you to please don't believe me, sir. I just want to get some money to help my uncle with aunt. Please, just be normal like other employees. I beg you, "pinta Naina with tears in her eyes.

He looked back at his wet eyes. Seeing Naina crying, also hearing her pleading, she realized she had to finally give up. Naina never had any feelings for him.

"But I love you, Nai. I want you to be my wife, a mother to my son" she said with a feeling.

Naina shook her head, she really could not accept the feeling of her superior. He is just like any other man, now accepting, tomorrow will definitely be insulting.

"Sorry, Sir. I can't. I really can't. Please understand, sir. There are many more perfect women than me. I'm tired, sir. Very tired," said Naina did not look at the face of the man who was the interlocutor.

He shook his head, fixedly staring at the simple face line that had managed to steal his heart. Sighing heavily, paying attention to the movements of his hands that repeatedly rubbed his eyes. The man with the status of manager looked down for a moment to throw away all the feelings that were not wearing.

He raised his eyes again, he looked at Naina who turned away.

"good. Please forgive me, because I've made you feel me," he said while still standing there not wanting to lose that beautiful face.

"Thank you." Naina said softly, then walked away from the store avoiding the gaze of the superior.

The man sighed again, turned around and got on his motorbike. Then go away with an erratic feeling.

A little later, Alfin came out on the motor. He waited to give them time to talk.

"Tell!"

Naina stopped her steps, turned around and climbed onto her bike without a word. The night has begun to be quiet, unlike in Jakarta which is always crowded even though it has reached its peak.

"Why is it so long?" reprimand Naina while glancing at Alfin's back wrapped in a cigarette.

"Sorry, I actually wanted to go out, but look at you again having a serious conversation with your boss so I'll wait. Sorry, yes," Alfin said honestly.

Naina raised her face, looking at the star-studded sky. Brightly illuminated by the moonlight, they seemed to be dancing happily. Unlike him, who is always plagued by fear due to trauma in the past.

"Be careful, yeah. Greetings to the children" Naina said as soon as she arrived in front of the aunt's house.

Alfin smiled, nodding softly while looking for a moment at the face of the girl before him. He sighed, had they been stopped, he would never have let her cry.

"I'm home, yeah. Greetings to your uncle and aunt. You go in first there. It's quiet here, afraid that something will go wrong" Alfin said after gazing around the neighborhood where Naina lived.

The girl smiled, opened the door and turned to look at Alfin there. Then, close the door again, open the window curtain to release the departure of the idol. Naina waved her hand while commenting on a smile. Stand at the window until the man's figure disappears.

He turned around with his eyes closed, hissing because his heart was almost gone.

"Astaghfirullah, Auntie. Ngagetin aja, Nai's heart would be dislodged, "grunts while massaging the chest that is pounding fast.

Aunt laughed at Naina's sulking face. He was glad that his nephew was close to Alfin. The figure of a young man who has an adab, polite and respectful to parents. She is everyone's dream husband.

It's just that Alfin's work as the mosque's marbot makes the parents of the girl reluctant to accept him as a daughter-in-law. For various reasons, even though Alfin does not have a job.

"The serious part is very much in the window, kirain who? Not a year ...." Auntie shook her head.

Asking Naina to rest in her room immediately.

"You want to eat again, come on Auntie Temenin," Sumiyati said.

Naina shook her head, she had already eaten the provisions she had brought from home.

"Nai wants to go straight to sleep, Bi. It's so sleepy" said Naina as she walked into her room after Auntie nodded.

He slammed himself on a wooden cot, looking up against the ceiling of the room. His heart was relieved after speaking to the superior. In the future, he will act as ordinary as any other employee.

Naina who was about to close her eyes, closed because the sound of the message notification disturbed the ears. He picked up the phone, opened it to see who was sending the message.

A Alfin?

Naina opened the message, reading a row of letters the young man had poured in a short message to his phone.

Good night, Naina. May your night be blessed by God. Don't forget to be grateful for your day, and pray for tomorrow.

Naina smiles, but like most men will Alfin be able to accept his past? Or is he just like any other man.

Naina sighed, lowering the phone to the stomach, imagined Alfin's face that always reconciles the heart when seen.

He typed in a reply, saying thank you good night too. Just like that, it has made the hearts of both flower.

Naina puts down her phone, pulls the blanket ready for bed. However, not long closed, not even asleep, other messages came in disturbing. Naina sighed tiredly, then opened her phone again to look at the second sender.

He frowned when the message contained only a picture of a young child falling asleep in his bed. A message from the boss, showing his son to melt Naina's heart.

The girl had no intention of replying to the message, but another message followed a sentence that revealed her heart.

Don't you feel sorry for seeing him? This little boy should be left his mother to go. She needs a mother, and every day asks when do you bring a mother?

Naina's heart felt pinched, but maybe the mother the child meant was not her.

"Hopefully you can have a good surrogate and love you, son. Don't be like me, yeah."

Naina smiled bitterly, put back her phone and lay down under the blanket.
