The two women in the room were still both speechless and washed away in tears of sadness. Aminah was stunned because she felt that Ahmad no longer cared about her. Khadijah wept because Aminah was no longer the same. For that reason, they turned to each other.
"Umi shouldn't have said that. How does Umi feel as a mother if she is Umi's own child?" lirih Khadijah ventured to express his heart.
Aminah did not respond, too washed away by the attitude of Ahmad who just left.
"Wouldn't want to lose a wise mother. Sejah do not want the woman who is always said to be kind to go from the life of the colonized. Back, Umi. Back to us," continued Khadijah sobbing with heartache.
The sobs of Aminah began to subside hearing the expression of the heart of her eldest daughter. His heart and mind are not currently in contact with each other. The two are opposite directions unable to meet in a single agreement.
"Umi never goes anywhere, Colored. You guys left Umi one by one. You see! Abi you go so without saying where Umi is going. You who left Umi," Aminah again sniffled.
Khadijah shook his head, raising his face to see the figure of the noble woman who had given birth to him.
"It was not Abi who left Umi, but Umi's selfishness who drove Abi out unknowingly. Why has Umi changed? Naina is the real victim. He should not be wronged. If Umi knew what the chronology was like, I'm sure Umi must feel sorry for the girl. He's the one who's been hit the most and certainly traumatized." Khadijah cast a disappointed look at Aminah who had advised Alfin to give support to Naina.
Aminah was stunned, remembering her advice first for Alfin not to leave Naina. Why has he changed course now? Is it because Alfin is in prison?
"That was before Alfin was arrested by the police and went to prison, got his hands on him. Umi did not expect to help the girl, Alfin until out of control," said Aminah could not accept the murder case.
"Where was she when Alfin helped her? Why didn't he prevent Umi's son from killing people. Here, she is the most guilty, and the one who should be imprisoned is Naina not Alfin!" Aminah poured out her heart to Khadijah.
The pregnant woman shook her head while saying Istighfar in her heart. It was unexpected, a woman who had always spoken softly and wisely now flirted at the hardness of her heart.
"Naina never asked Alfin to kill them, Umi. He's a victim, maybe to stand up he couldn't. Why is Umi being so stubborn like gini? Why is Umi so selfish like this? Why, Umi?" khadijah's whining is getting hysterical.
What they don't realize is that Naina is behind the door of Aminah's room and listening to everything. He who wanted to visit because of news from Khadija, did not go inside and chose to leave the hallway.
I am the guilty here. I am the most guilty. I shouldn't have asked Alfin for help that night. If I hadn't asked Alfin for help, maybe he wouldn't be in jail, but if not Alfin?
Naina was downcast hiding her melted tears wetting her cheeks. He quickly swept every water that fell from the throne.
The one who should be in prison is Naina, not Alfin!
The thundering voice of Aminah was ringing in his ears. Truly, the words he spoke were heartbreaking. The more tears fell until both shoulders were shaken violently.
In the hallway, he passed by second brother Alfin, but would not listen when they called him.
"Naaina!" lirih Amaliah when he recognized the figure of the girl who walked down.
"Baby, Naina. Why is he crying, huh?" Amaliah pulled the hand of her husband who kept walking to stop.
"Where?" Busyro looked around, but could not see the figure his wife meant.
"That! Look, he's crying like that. Why, huh?" Amaliah continued to stare at Naina's back which was getting further away, she was not as close as Khadijah was to her.
"Maybe from Umi's room and do not have the heart to see the state of Umi," said Busyro.
"We're going there, Mas." Amaliah approached Naina, and called out to her.
"Naaina! Naina, wait!"
However, the girl continued walking, further accelerating her pace. He did not want to deal with anyone from the Alfin family at this time.
"Naaina!" Amaliah's steps came to a halt when Busyro blocked his hand.
"Mas! I-it ...." His hand stopped in midair, still wanting to ask him.
"Udah. It's nothing" said Busyro.
The two turned back and continued their steps towards Aminah's room. Amaliah's eyes accidentally caught one figure in the other hallway, walking alone. I don't know where he's going.
Busyro's pupil enlarged when he realized it was Ahmad.
"Yes. It's Abi!" He stepped quickly, coming to a figure who continued to walk without caring around.
"Pig!"
Ahmad's move stopped for a while, but then continued.
"Abi wants to go to mushola, you go first to Umi's room," said Ahmad while continuing to walk without looking at his son.
Seeing something strange, the man retraced Ahmad's steps. Looked at his sad wet face. Ahmad bowed, rubbing his eyes slowly did not want his son to see.
"Abi cry? What's up?" busyro asked, the feeling of uneasiness constantly present in the heart overwhelms the emotions.
Ahmad smiled, shook his head later. He patted his son on the shoulder, hiding a bitterness.
"There's nothing. Umi has been waiting for you" said Ahmad did not want to linger facing his son.
He continued his steps towards the hospital mosque. Taking ablution and performing the prayer of circumcision to calm the heart.
Busyro sighed, inviting Amaliah to go to Aminah's room. Inside, the two women were still fighting. No one wants to give up on each other.
The door creaked, Khadija looked at him, but not Aminah. He turned to the window thinking that Ahmad was coming.
"Assalamu'alaikum! Umi, Brother!"
"Wa'alaikumussalaam!"
Aminah immediately turned away, shrinking her tears not wanting to look pitiful. Busyro frowned, the heart began to wonder what was with all of them? He refrained from asking questions and greeted the two.
"What's up, brother? I saw Naina crying, and then Abi too. Now, Umi's the same brother. What's up?" amaliah asked, unable to hold herself back.
Khadijah frowned hearing Naina's name. It was thought that the girl had heard all their conversations.
"Where did you meet him?" tanyanya.
"In the hallway, brother. I called, but I ran, instead" replied Amaliah staring puzzledly at the two men.
"Astaghfirullah al-adhiim!" Khadijah rubbed his face, he must have heard Aminah's words. Not wrong anymore.
"What's up, brother?" busyro asked worriedly.
"There's nothing, you don't have to think too much about it" Aminah said, smiling at the two. Traces of crying on his face, he could not hide. Busyro can still see it.
There must be something wrong here. I'll find her later.
Busyro approached, and sat down on the chair beside Aminah's bed. He looked at the old woman gently.
"Where is Umi?" tanyakanya.
Aminah smiled, rubbing Busyro's hand that touched her feet. "Alhamdulillah, Umi is better," he said.
Brak!
"What is this?!"
"Alfin!"
