Teach Me (Naina)

Teach Me (Naina)
Chapter 57

The night grew increasingly gripping, a row of people sat with their heads bowed sadly. One of them cried so much that his shoulders went up and down regularly. Sumiyati, Asep, and Khadijah, sat on the front bench of the IGD.

While Alfin, standing near a pillar. Stare blankly at the pitch-black night sky. He refused to change his wet clothes. Let the cloth dry on its own body. The two hands he put in his pants pocket, clenched tightly.

The shadow of the two men who were overlapping Naina's body, still made her heart churn hot. He closed his eyes, took a breath to reduce tightness and pain in the heart. However, he still could not do, especially when my eyes Naina looked at him while pleading.

The smile that was embedded at that time, signified the relief of his heart for the arrival of Alfin. Tears that shed, making Alfin's heart powerless to hold back.

"Aragh!" Suddenly Alfin punched the pillar, causing friction between the skin of the fingers and the wall. Scratched skin and blood spouts poked out of it, Alfin did not ignore at all.

"I am weak, I cannot take care of you. Weak, weak, weak!"

He banged his head against the pillar, making Khadija unable to hold back. The woman got up and kept Alfin's body away from the pillar.

"What the fuck, anyway! Don't beat yourself up, it's not your fault. We don't know what happened to Naina yet" Khadija's sergeant held his sister's hands together to avoid doing anything stupid.

"What don't know yet, brother? I saw it with my own eyes. They ... they ...."

"Aragh!" Alfin turned around, again punching the pillar venting anger.

Khadija pulled the body of the younger brother, dragging him slightly away from the pillars. Sumiyati and Asep stared sadly at the two brothers. Especially Alfin who did not stop blaming himself.

"Pity Nak Alfin, he's a good young man," murmured Asep looking compassionately at the young man.

"Naina is also a good boy. Everything that happened tonight wasn't what he wanted. This is the destiny they have to live," said Sumiyati a little unhappy because Asep's speech seemed to corner Naina.

"Yes, you know. Hopefully they are strong through this," said Asep while rubbing his wife's back.

Khadijah turned Alfin's head away from him. Waving a sharp look at the young man who was now crying.

"See Brother! What you see is not necessarily the same as what you think. Wait for Naina's explanation, or the doctor. Then we can draw conclusions. Didn't you say Naina's clothes were intact? It's just tearing up, isn't it? So, think straight, Alfin. Don't indulge your napsu," Khadijah's lick resuscitated Alfin who had gone out of control.

He is like a wild animal, which if not restrained or detached, will run away and get out of control.

"I don't know, Brother. I don't know!" Alfin shook his head, not knowing his own way of thinking. He needs a place to calm down, needs time to himself.

"Alfin, even if all that happened, it wasn't because of Naina's will. He didn't want all this to happen either. What can we do, Alfin? Besides having to strengthen each other." Khadijah rubbed his sister's face.

The other hand raised Alfin's right hand, rubbing his bloody fingers. He took out a handkerchief from his pocket, bandaging the wound so it would not be touched by bacteria.

"I'm going to the mosque, brother. I need time alone, I need a place to calm down. I want to go to the mosque, brother," said Alfin. Remembering the only place that had kept him calm.

Khadijah sighed, clasped his sister's fingers, then stared fixedly at Alfin's face. His eyeballs moved to the right and left staring alternately at the two Alfin beads.

"You can go when you meet Naina. Hold on a second, Alfin. If Naina wakes up later, what she will ask is definitely you. Not the other one. So give him a little hope" Khadijah said. He pulled Alfin's body into the deck patting his back gently.

Alfin dropped his head on his brother's shoulder, returning Khadijah's embrace. This was their first hug after Alfin had grown up.

"I don't know how you feel right now. Very understanding, but we can't leave Naina. He needs the support of the people he cares about. You also know that Naina herself does not want all this to happen. You have to talk, give Naina hope so that she does not experience deep trauma" Khadijah said in Alfin's ear.

The young man sobbed softly, spilling tears of sadness as well as regret in his heart. He regretted being too slow to find Naina. He cursed himself who was so weak and helpless.

Khadijah took off a hug, rubbing a tear on his sister's cheek.

Alfin sighed, saying Istighfar in his heart to reach for calmness. He brushed off a dark shadow that would not go out of his mind. Standing with her sister, waiting for Naina to be dealt with.

Intermittent, the IGD door opens, the nurses push the gurney out moving Naina into the room.

"Naaina!" Alfin and Khadijah rushed over and saw Naina with her pale, sleeping face.

They accompany Naina to her room, with Asep and Sumiyati. The doctor explained Naina's condition mentally, but did not explain whether she had been abused leaving Alfin and Khadijah confused.

"You can ask him yourself when he wakes up. Excuse me, "the doctor replied when Khadijah asked about Naina's condition.

Moments after the doctor's departure, Naina opened her eyes. He looked around looking for a face that kept coming to his mind.

"Alfin!" call Naina in a soft, vibrating voice.

Everyone sitting in the room gasped, but they let Alfin himself come to Naina.

"I'm here" Alfin said as he held back his shaken feelings. He sat on the edge of Naina's bed, looking at the girl's face.

"You're all right? You're all right, aren't you?" asked Naina while looking at Alfin's face that could not be separated from staring at her.

The young man turned around, rubbing the corner of his eye could not bear to look at Naina's pale face for too long.

"You don't have to think about me. I'm doing fine. How are you yourself? What's that hurting?" alfin asked withstanding the shakes in his tongue.

Khadijah quietly rubbed his eyes, he had already refrained from crying. Now, it feels like that woman can no longer. She covered her face with a veil, crying in silence.

"I'm okay" said Naina. He looked at Alfin's face deeply, fear suddenly appearing in his heart.

"Alfin, you believe me, don't you, same me? Everything you see is not what you think. You have to trust me" Naina told him of her condition.

Alfin turned back, wiping the corner of the eye because he could not help but cry.

"I don't know, Naina." He shook his head, "I don't know because I saw the incident myself. I'm sorry" said Alfin again dropping his eyes on the girl.

Naina shed tears, anyone will not believe because of the position of the two men who have overcame her.

"Don't cry. You need to rest a lot to get well quickly. Now you sleep again, yeah. Your face is still pale" said Alfin rubbed Naina's tears using a handkerchief wrapped around her fingers.

"I don't want to sleep, I'm afraid you're leaving me," Naina whined as she shook her head. The girl shed tears of sadness.

Alfin sobbed, as did the three people on the sofa. The young man looked down, rubbing his watery face.

"You're not gonna leave me, are you? You're gonna stay here, aren't you? Say, Alfin, if you won't leave me," Naina pleaded with her, wondering if the young man had left.

Alfin finished his cry, rubbed his face and sighed. He smiled at Naina, then nodded slowly.

"I won't leave you, Naina. Won't do. Sleep, the night is long. You should rest. I'll be here waiting for you" Alfin said with a smile despite a heart of pain.

Naina nodded, slowly closing her eyes to return to rest. He grabbed Alfin's hand from under the blanket, and clasped it tightly. Alfin's heart grew sore, he returned to tears. Especially when he saw the smile on the girl's lips.
