Teach Me (Naina)

Teach Me (Naina)
Chapter 61

Like a hump missed the moon. The girl stood pensively by the window, staring down the endless back and forth of humans. The head rests on a pole, both hands folded on the stomach, hugging the body itself.

Occasionally his hand was raised wiping away the water that suddenly fell from the eyes. Remembering the fate of self that is always played with feelings. Does love always do that? Come bring happiness, and go leave misery.

Like a dark night without stars, that's what Naina's heart is like today. Hollow, silent, must again accept the fact that fate toyed with his love story. Khadijah said goodbye because there is a family to take care of. A Alfin? I don't know, Naina tried not to think about it.

He's alone, just lonely friends. In solitude, he tries to grasp the despair, keeping it in the heart. Growing a spirit that has been broken into pieces. He chose to flinch when the creaking of the door sounded.

"Tell!" reprimanding Sumiyati, her hand gently patted Naina's shoulder resuscitating her from the daydream.

Naina turned her head, forcing her lips to smile.

"Udah eat? This is Aunt bring you success. Eat, yuk!" bibi said as she lifted up the food she brought.

Naina smiled again, following Bibi back to her bed. Naina's steps came to a halt as she turned around, and saw a middle-aged man who was looking at her.

"Who's that guy, Bi?" tanya Naina pointed in doubt at him.

Aunty sighed, they needed time for the two to explain to each other.

"Talk to her, Auntie's out first." Sumiyati was about to leave, but Naina's hands blocked her abruptly.

"Auntie is here. Nai was afraid, Bi," Naina's whine strengthened her hand.

Sumiyati smiled, gently patting Naina's hand on her arm. He said to calm the girl down, "Nothing. Later Nai also knows for himself. Auntie same Uncle wait outside. If there's nothing left just yell, yeah."

Naina hesitates to also fear being in a closed room with a foreign man. However, the nod of Sumiyati's head convinced her heart.

The dark shadow of that night, the night of tragedy that almost took his honor back flashed and haunted. Naina chose to stand in her place, not even as she approached.

His moist hands played out, his body tense and alert. The man there grimaced inwardly, growling furiously at the man who had made his son suffer.

I'm not going to stay silent, I'm going to find out who's behind it.

Adrian's heart threatened, Sumiyati had told him everything that happened to Naina during the trip.

"W-who are you?" ask Naina.

Adrian's feet stepped, and Naina reflexively retreated.

"No! Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer!" the door with both hands up.

Adrian took a step back, retreating further and further away. He did not want to make the girl afraid of him. Seeing that, Naina felt a little relieved, but still remained vigilant.

"I'm Adrian. I am the person most responsible for everything that happens to you as well as your mother. Please, forgive me," Adrian said, his eyes resting on Naina's two frightened beads.

It really is that child.

"Why?" He asked again in confusion. Staring intensely at the face of a man who could not be separated from staring at him.

Naina's forehead frowned when she realized something. The facial lines that the man had were almost similar to him. He felt like he was reflecting in a miracle.

"W-who are you?" asked Naina again, the tension she felt in her heart slowly went away.

It resists the turmoil in the heart, which slowly channels heat until it touches both eyes. His jaw went up and down heavily, to gulp his saliva.

Naina's body stiffened again, tears involuntarily falling. Someone there is one of the hopes of his life.

"Pa-papah?" naina's not believing.

The man bit his lips, holding back the tears that kept pressing. His head nodded small, answering Naina's confusion.

"Pa-papah?" Naina's oral voice trembled as she repeated the word.

Naina's body retreated to the wall, shedding to the floor while covering her crying face.

"Isn't he?" repeated many times on the sidelines sobs that continue to burst out.

The male body reacted, but he still refrained from approaching Naina. His tears fell down his cheeks, turning his face could not bear to see the child crying.

"Isn't he? Mom, I found it. I found it." Naina's heart trembled, sobs that sounded longer and longer made her claustrophobic.

"Naaina!" call the man, doubtful that both his legs want to get close, wanting to clutch that shaky body and give him a sense of security.

Naina opened both hands, looking at the face of the man there with her wet eyes.

"Naaina!" call him again, how much he wants to get closer.

The girl got up slowly, stepped slowly. Occasionally his hands will hold on when the body loses balance.

"Isn't he? Are you really my dad?" naina asked as she arrived before the man.

Their eyes clashed, peeking at each other, spilling one another's longing. Adrian reached into the inner pocket of the suit, took out a piece of photo from him. He gave the photo to Naina. The girl was crying, it was a picture of a young Lita who seemed to be smiling happily, beside her the man stood up and kissed the mother's temple.

Naina smothers her own mouth, tears continue to flow along with uncontrollable feelings. He raised his face back, pecking at the man in front of him.

"Isn't he?" call him again.

Adrian nodded, the tears that fell on the cheeks of the man signifying the same feeling as Naina's heart.

"Fuck!" Naina drops the body into the man's arms. He knows they're not mahrams, but let them be. He misses that figure, the figure of a father who always protects his daughter. The figure that should be the first love in a girl's life.

Both of them were crying in deep sadness. Adrian returns Naina's embrace, peeping at the girl repeatedly. His feelings were pure, like a father to his son.

"I'm sorry Papah, son. Everything that happens to you is due to Papah's fault. You have to endure it alone. Forgive Papah. From now on, Papah will always be there for you. Never feel alone again" Adrian said with a heart that was sliced.

Naina did not reply, too faint of her tongue to say. He just wanted to cry, shedding all the longings he harbored himself.

For a while, they were swept away in the meeting after twenty years of not meeting each other. Adrian promises to take care of Naina with his life, for the sake of the responsibility that was neglected in the past.

He took off a hug, cupped Naina's face with both hands. Wiping away the tears of the girl who was unceasingly breaking. She smiled as Naina looked at him.

"You eat first, yeah. Let it heal quickly, Papah wants to take you for a walk to make up for the time that passed in vain" said Adrian who obeyed Naina.

The girl smiled, nodding slowly. Sitting at the bedside, eating fed Adrian. Sumiyati and Asep were peering outside, smiling and seeing the two. The old woman even shed tears, unable to resist the emotional overflow in her chest.
