Teach Me (Naina)

Teach Me (Naina)
Chapter 25

Naina sighed as she had just her foot treading on the asphalt. He stopped a little away from the store, so as not to be seen by his co-workers. Staring alternately between the shop and the mosque.

Many vehicles were parked in the courtyard of the mosque. Naina became nervous as the young man she wanted to meet, was there welcoming the guests. That day there were many more children coming. Meet the big mosque across from the shop where he works.

Naina took another breath, took a slow step and entered the queue of people dressed in all white. He glanced at himself, black toad pants, a long beige shirt and a veil of a similar color.

"So don't trust yourself like this, yeah." He complained, then continued to trim the queue to be able to enter the mosque courtyard.

Alfin frowned at the sight of a girl who was bowed in that long queue. He sharpened his eyes, to be able to see clearly who was the figure bowed there.

"Naaina?" he muttered when he recognized the figure behind the cream hijab. He smiled brightly, especially seeing it that was perfectly closed.

"Sir Ustadz -"

"Go, meet him. Yesterday he came looking for you here" interrupted ustadz who immediately recognized Naina's figure among the guests.

"Thank you, sir," said Alfin as he went to see the girl. He's still in the queue, I don't know what he's doing there.

Alfin's face met, his hands trembling, his heart pounding, as steps continued to approach him. He stopped waiting for Naina to come closer. His tongue was twisted because he was nervous to see the idol wrapped in a head covering.

"Naaina!" call Alfin down almost like a whisper.

Suddenly Naina's steps stopped, her eyes widened in a bowed state. His chest was pounding erratically, making it difficult to obtain an air supply.

"Naaina! Here," call Alfin again impatiently to see him immediately.

Naina raised her face, glancing to the left side of her body. He turned back to avoid Alfin's gaze. Sighed again, and walked out of line while looking down.

Naina stood wrongly before Alfin. Playing the tip of the hijab to suppress the nervousness that comes along. The young man before him was unceasingly looking at Naina, his heart no longer rhythmic, racing against the beat of time.

Alfin bit his lips, something warm creeping until it reached the tip of the earlobe. He lowered his head, silently glancing at Naina who never lifted her face.

"You ... beautiful wearing a veil," she said softly.

Naina closed her eyes while biting the flesh within her lips. The flowers are scattered in the heart, the taste there are thousands of butterflies tickling on the abdomen. He wanted to prance cheerfully to vent his happiness.

"Thank you," he softly stroked without daring to look at Alfin.

"What will you say now?" alfin's question made Naina aware of his coming goal.

His smile receded, the flowers in his heart continued to wither and fall on the barren land. He raised his head, looking with a shady face that smiled at him.

Naina does not want to be swept away by the softness of her words, she will not forget the rejection and humiliation that two men have done before. To prepare the heart to no longer feel pain.

"Now can too. The sooner the better is done," said Naina more courageous.

"Come on!" Alif glanced at her, feeling that there was something strange about Naina's attitude. He led the girl to a gazebo a little away from the mosque.

Sitting far apart, without daring to look at each other. The two were swallowed desolate, none of them had started the conversation. Without them noticing, a pair of eyes were watching in the distance. Waiting for the right time to catch both.

Alfin sighed, staring at the elongated dormitory building. All the children were in the mosque following a study conducted by a cleric in the city.

"My parents wanted to see you, Nai," Alfin said.

He sighed, glancing at Naina in silence. The girl kept her head down not daring to raise her face.

He plays a veil, dismissing the nervousness that is increasingly attached to his presence.

"Friends? I don't want to know you as a friend. What about as a wife?" alfin said bluntly about his heart.

Naina sighed, turning to the young man who was sitting at a distance with her.

"What is it from your own heart? You really want to make me your wife?" Naina again asked to reassure Alfin.

The young man smiled, nodding with certainty.

"That's if you're willing to be my wife. I don't want to linger, it would be better if we just get married if the parents have agreed," said Alfin meant it.

Naina sighed, bowed back feeling doubtful with the confidence and earnestness of the young man.

"What's wrong? Don't you want to be my wife? Or do you need time to think?" alfin asked seemed confused by Naina's gloomy attitude after hearing her proposal indirectly.

Naina shook her head, silencing her mouth for a while. He is preparing his heart to tell the truth.

"Keep why?" Alfin fretted, the sense of uneasiness clouded the soul seeing Naina's silent attitude.

"I ... I ...." It is so heavy that the tongue tells the truth.

"What does it mean to be my wife?" insist Alfin impatiently wanted to hear the certainty.

Again Naina sighed heavily, then shook her head.

"I don't know, Alfin. You don't know who I am. I doubt if you hear and know everything, maybe you change your mind because I have experienced it many times," said Naina began to vent to reveal her origins.

The frown on Alfin's forehead deepened, strange thoughts began to sweep through his brain. Washing and soiling with prejudices that should not exist.

Don't-don't ....

"What is that anyway? I want to know why they rejected you? But if it will only hurt you, it's good not to say," Alfin said despite not knowing what happened to Naina in the past. He will be ready to hear it if Naina is willing to reveal.

"It's not. Now, I'm more prepared for it to happen to me." Naina bites her lips, assuring her heart that she is ready.

"If you like, then you better say. So that there are no secrets between us. I also have something you should know" Alfin assured Naina that whatever she said would not change Alfin's decision.

Naina turned her back to the young man, not daring to show her pitiful face.

"Alfinen. Maybe you don't know or even everyone doesn't know that I'm not like other girls. I'm different from them, Alfin. I. .. I was the child who was present before the wedding. A mistake, and they called me an illegitimate child. Said the mother, the child who was present before the wedding was assigned to her mother is not her father. That means I don't have a husband, I don't have a guardian."

Alfin was stunned to hear that, but remained silent letting Naina continue her words.

"I don't know who my biological father is? Where is he? Are you still alive or have you been mowing the ground? I don't know. Because of this problem, I have been rejected twice by men who want to propose to me, even they humbled me and insulted my mother. Until I finally had to lose my life forever. My mother died, and I was alone."

Naina sobbed softly, not wanting to be pitied, but because she remembered Lita. Alfin lowered his head, starting to think about Naina.

"You can't accept me, so at least reject me well. Don't insult me let alone humiliate me."

Naina looked down deeply. Regretting his life story.

"Who said?"
