Teach Me (Naina)

Teach Me (Naina)
Chapter 69

Alfin was still sitting in his place, contemplating every word that the woman had said. His breathing was heavy and long, bowing his head with both hands clenched tightly.

He did not realize that someone was sitting next to him, glancing at Alfin with pity, sighing heavily.

"What do you say is all true?" ask the police who picked up Alfin yesterday.

The young man sighed, not wanting to raise his face yet.

"While it's true, none of it would be able to free me from the snare of the law without evidence and witnesses, right?" Alfin raised his face, looking at the fellow who chose to become law enforcement.

The young policeman sighed, narrating what Alfin said. It is all in vain if there is no corroborating evidence and witnesses.

"Maybe that woman is the only key that can ease your punishment, Fin. He's a strong witness, I'm sure if he's willing he can give you freedom" the man said as he looked at Alfin.

He sighed, turning away from the gaze of his friend. Not without hope, Alfin actually wished for the presence of the woman, but not to free himself from punishment. He just wanted to meet to apologize.

"That's the problem, Bas. I don't know where he is. His uncle and aunt's house was empty, it was impossible if he returned to Jakarta," complained Alfin lowered his gaze to stare at the finger link on the table.

The young man called Bas by Alfin patted his shoulder a little strongly, squeezing it, channeling strength into Alfin's weak heart.

"I'm sorry, hopefully sooner or later the girl will come" he said.

Alfin turned his head, his two eyes glowing with hope.

"I can ask you a favor, Bas." Alfin confirmed his request through a sharp eye.

"What's? As long as it does not violate my duties as law enforcement, then I will help you" he replied with confidence.

Alfin chuckled at hearing that, inwardly feeling admiration for the peer who became an honest law enforcer.

"You just calm down. If my request will bring reinforcements and sins, then let me bear them in the world and the hereafter" said Alfin making the young man by his side blush in shame.

Alfin's lips smiled as he bellowed avoiding his gaze.

"I wouldn't dare ask you to break your vow. I just want to ask you to ease the burden on my heart."

He turned his head back, looking at Alfin with a frown on his forehead.

"Do you have a picture of this woman and her child?" alfin asked, the deeper the frown on the young policeman's forehead.

"It just so happens to be on his file with one of the victims. What's for?" He looked at Alfin, trying to read what plan was inside the young man's brain.

"Can you take a picture? Women and their children only. After that you come back here," Alfin asked hoping to pass through the look of his eyes.

The bus left and left Alfin's room. He returned after a while and sat in his place.

"This. Do what, anyway?" The young policeman's eyes probed, but Alfin only responded with a smile.

"I can borrow it, right? Make a message to the store people," asked Alfin had not dared to use it.

"Well, just take it."

"Thank you, yeah."

Alfin sent a message to his treasurer in the shop. Short and blinked, he returned the phone to its owner.

Intrigued, the police checked Alfin's message. His eyes widened after reading his friend's typing.

"Crazy! It's not your fault! Do you want to take care of all that kid needs?" screech while holding a heavy breath.

If the amount of money he gave me was almost the same as my salary. The young policeman muttered.

He shook his head, disbelief clearly visible in both of his eyes.

"From the beginning, you liked to waste money. Especially now ... I can not say anything if you have dealt with your money, Fin," he said, complaining about Alfin's actions.

"Udah, don't think about it. You will never sleep again." Alfin chuckles.

He will only feel relieved after getting a report from the message he sent. May the woman be receptive and sincere to everything that happens.

"May I ask one more thing for you?" alfin said this time looking sad.

"What else? Don't make me hang because of the money you're wasting, yeah," he said.

Alfin shook his head and replied, "It's not a matter of money. I ask you, please look at my children in the mosque. Tell ustadz Hasan I leave them for a while, but don't tell them I'm in jail. The children will be disappointed to know their father is a murderer."

The bus was stunned, gulping nervous saliva. The trust Alfin gave me was heavy. What should he say to those children when they ask about their father?

"Keep, what do you want me to say if they ask you about dad?" The man did not turn away from the young man's face.

"Say, your father is going to pick up mom. They missed mom," Alfin replied staring at his friend's bead.

"That girl?"

Alfin nodded his head, he made it clear to him to look after all the children in the mosque. The young policeman threw away a glance, bowing with a heart that beat in admiration and pride. He knew what Alfin's life was like, although he was often on the streets, he never forgot his God and never forgot the way back.

He nodded his head, agreeing with the young man's request. He left and left without speaking again. Alfin remained alone, reflecting on everything that happened in the course of his life.

"May God protect you, forgive me." Alfin dropped his head on the table, crying in memory of the fate of all his children when he spent a long time in prison.

I'm sorry, Naina. Where are you? Children miss their mother.

Uhuk-uhuk!

"Duh, slowly eat it. A sprain, right." The middle-aged woman in the mansion quickly gave Naina a glass of water when she choked.

Adrian, Naina, Asep, Sumiyati and the wife of Adrian, were enjoying their lunch at the dining table of Adrian's mansion. Naina's biological father's wife treats Naina with care. Like a mother to her child.

"Thank you, Mah. Nai is okay, really," said Naina while shrinking water from the corner of her lips. Although awkward, he still called the woman with the name mamah.

He smiled, rubbing Naina's hair gently.

"Thank God, continue to eat. Spend it, so you can recover completely, "he said gently.

Adrian, Asep and Sumiyati smiled at the closeness of the two even though Naina had only lived in the house for a few days.

"Sunday tomorrow Papah wants to control the store again, Papah feels there is something strange there," said Adrian while rubbing his lips using tissue.

"Well, it just so happens that Mamah also wants to take Naina for a walk to the mall. All right, yeah, Pah."

Adrian looked at Naina, the girl still looked awkward.

"Yes, I can."
