A few moments after Adrian left the room Aminah. He called many times, but the girl's phone could not be reached. Adrian clucked, not upset, but because he was worried about the state of the child.
He stopped at a pillar, changed his cell phone contact to Habsoh.
"Well, Naina's back home? Papah picked up to the hospital he said he had gone home," asked Adrian immediately as the connection was lifted.
"Given that no one has come home yet. Naina's not home yet, Pah. The door to his room was open" replied Habsoh across the street.
Adrian grimaces, which is why he doesn't let Naina go alone.
"Yes, Mah. Papah wants to find Naina first," said Adrian while closing the connection.
He glanced at the phone for a while, then looked at the sky that was not as bright as usual, but also not cloudy. Her body turned around while rubbing her face, praying for Naina's safety.
Adrian's eyebrows intertwined when the eyes accidentally saw a group of people sitting in a small building.
"Alfin? Is that Alfin? He is free. Try me to go to who knows they saw Naina," murmured Adrian, then began a step toward Ahmad's group.
His ears were listening to their chatter, as well as the sobs of Ahmad and Khadijah. Adrian never really guessed. His intention was only to ask Alfin, but the harsh reality he had overheard unintentionally from the young man's words.
"What did you really say, Abi? Did Umi cause Naina to go to jail and replace me?"
The deg!
Adrian's breath choked, his heart was in great revolt, even his body was reflexively sculpted followed by his pale face eloquent almost like a corpse. Their chatter further makes Adrian blood ride. He clenched both hands, restraining all mounting anger.
His jawbone is hardened, the teeth are tight and clashing with each other. Don't forget the glint of his reddened eyes, emitting the flames of fury that licked.
Ahmad was speechless, sobbing in regret that shut his soul.
"Silver Colored, please don't hide anything." Busyro glanced at his brother.
"Umi said that the one who should be in the prison was Naina, not Alfin. Maybe Naina heard that, Brother doesn't know." Khadijah lowered his head while shaking his head.
The crying became more and more, both hands covered sad faces.
"Astaghfirullah al-adhiim!" Ahmad and Busyro spoke at the same time, while Alfin clenched his hands to hold back his emotions.
Not far from them, Adrian's face blackened. The longer they heard their chatter, the more it made the man's chest rumble so violently that he could not hold himself back.
"So like that? That's how you treat my son?!" jolt Adrian while refraining from overdoing it.
Hearing that cold and trembling voice, all the heads there turned their heads. Both Alfin and Khadijah's eyes widened perfectly, especially when Adrian's sharp eyes hit both of their beads. Alfin gulped down his own spit that felt slashing. While the other two people, dumbstruck stared at the foreign figure.
They were all silent, Khadijah lowered his head, his shoulders were getting heavier and more shaken. Rise and fall rapidly, as crying continues to increase.
"Can these devout and religious people like you freely demean others? My son doesn't know anything, he's a victim and you all know that! But why is he so willing to bestow all the blame on Naina? WH WHY? If I had known ... if I had known ...." Adrian's ears stopped in mid-air, accusing Alfin's figure of trembling with tears.
He really didn't want all this to happen. I don't know who's wrong, but Adrian is accusing them all.
"Wait, Sir. You don't get it wrong"
"Misunderstand it? What do I hear less clearly? He said Naina came to prison and took her place. Did I hear wrong? You think I'm stupid and can be fooled?! If not for the words of the woman he wanted to see, Naina would not go there. He was trying to find a way to get this young man out of prison. Restless day, no sleep, no good eating. You think Naina lives a quiet life? Naina having fun?" Adrian inflamed.
Ahmad bowed deeply, weeping over his inability as leader. Busyro who was interrupted by his words, was stunned as he gulped down the saliva. There was bitterness, sadness, suffering, disappointment, regret, from the tone of speech that the foreign man poured.
Adrian looked at them one by one, making sure those sickening faces were for him. Keeping them in memory, for a lifetime he will never forget.
His eyeballs were fixated on Alfin's downcast figure with his back shaking. He knew the young man was crying, but it was free.
"Naina doesn't know anything, she doesn't have to bear all the sins. It was all because of my mother and I. He also cannot choose from whose womb he was born. Naina is not as lucky as other girls who are born into whole families. He was there because of my mistake that I could not help myself. Don't underestimate him anymore, he's already suffered a lot. Don't add to his suffering anymore."
Adrian falls in tears remembering Naina's life journey filled with thorns. He folds his lips, strengthens his heart to make decisions. Staring firmly at Alfin's bead that was lifted at him.
"You and your family can't take my son, let him go. Naina deserves to be happy, Naina deserves a man who can love and accept her as she is. Not a man who looks down on her, or loves her half-and-half." Adrian shook his head.
Alfin's pupils dilated, his mouth wide open. He shook his head while crying tears. Not only the young man, but the other three heads also suddenly looked at Adrian. It was as if he did not accept the man's decision.
"Never look for my son again. Look for a girl who's worth your family, and leave Naina for good. I think people who are obedient like you, will be more careful in speaking. Your mind is clearer than I always think of the world. Turns out ...."
Adrian shook his head again, his lips pouted, his eyes no longer the same.
"Remember what I said, don't ever look for Naina again. Enough of you to give him suffering, enough of him to sacrifice everything for you. A sacrifice of no price in the eyes of noble men like you." Adrian hunts the air, unraveling the tightness that anger creates.
He turned around bringing his sick heart to shreds, his world shattered by the suffering the baby was going through.
"Sir! I will never leave Naina. Even if you take Naina to the end of the world, I'll look for her. I'll find him!" firmly Alfin who managed to dampen Adrian's steps, the young man stood up with a determination that radiated in both of his manics.
Adrian glanced without twisting his body, smiling cynically sneering at the young man.
"Please say you have courage and strength! You are weak, too weak for a girl as tough as my son!" Adrian continues the steps leaving Alfin who falls on the floor.
Weak! You're too weak, Alfin! Very weak!
