"Alfin!"
"Hey, what's up?" reprimand one of the punk child look on one of the female members who shouted.
"Alfin, I saw Alfin. He was here" he said in a panic and in a hurry.
"Alfin? You really don't see it wrong?" They stared questioningly at the figure of the slum-skinned woman. Earrings filled the earlobe, some parts on his face were piercings.
"Oath! I don't see it wrong, he is Alfin," he said.
"Where did you see him?" A burly man walked over splitting the crowd of people.
"So I saw him come out of that restaurant." The pierced woman pointed at the restaurant where Alfin had just come out.
"Quick follow! Maybe it's not far, you know the car, right?" tell the man who doesn't have a smile on his face.
The woman nodded, remembering the car Alfin used. They boarded a pickup, some using a modified motor. Pursue the speed of Alfin's car which may not be far from their location.
"There's a lot of cars ahead, you remember which one?" ask the driver who brought the woman.
"Wait a minute, I kind of forgot. Which one, huh?" His eyes looked at every passing car as well as the one in front. Looking for the car he just saw.
Alfin, meanwhile, was still focusing on driving. Calm down while occasionally kissing Naina's hand that he held. He was among the cars, tucked away and unseen by other vehicles.
"Astaghfirullah al-adhiim!" Alfin muttered as he saw his group of friends first pass by. Some of them are familiar, but many more are not.
"Why, Mas?" naina asked confusedly.
"Tighten your safety soap, baby. Something's likely to happen." Alfin warns Naina, turning to the right and left looking for a gap to get off the road.
His eyes glanced at the middle rearview, in the distance he could see the car. Alphin asked God for protection, to be kept away from them.
"What's up, Mas? Don't make it tense. I'm scared." Naina almost cried for it. He looked back, there was nothing there. Everything looks normal as usual.
"You saw those bikes! Those punk kids. Some of them used to be friends. We can't say hello to them, baby. Then we better get out of here." Alfin shows Naina the whereabouts of the children.
On the right and left of the road they were all there, also behind although far away. They were surrounded, but Alfin was still trying to be calm. The border will soon arrive, Alfin will follow the direction of the other car as it goes.
"If they were your friends, they wouldn't hurt us, would they?" said Naina staring fearfully at the troupe.
His hand squeezed Alfin's thigh, sending fear in his heart. The man grabbed Naina's hand, grasping her tightly.
"Not to be afraid, baby. As long as we don't get off track, they won't find us. In front of it, the border is visible. Hopefully there's a car going in there." Alfin did not know what to calm Naina down.
Maybe it was because he was panicking too much, or was there really a problem that made him panic. Naina closed her eyes, trying to act calmer. His heart never ceases to pray that something bad is kept away from God.
Alfin turned the steering wheel following the cars in front of him. He breathed a sigh of relief as the group continued to advance forward.
"Allah, O God." He looked at Naina, smiling
that face also looked at him. With Naina's hand she held, Alfin felt safe in his own area.
"What's the matter, anyway, Mas? Tight tofu. I'm so scared, are they just as bad as you?" naina asked after not feeling any tension anymore.
"Later until home Mas story. They won't be able to get in here, except to change appearances." Alfin reassures Naina, calming her from anxiety.
"We go to Papah's house first, yeah. Pick up the kids" Alfin said as he turned to the road leading to Adrian's house.
The horn sounded Alfin when it arrived in front of the gate of the house. The swift gatekeeper opened it, letting Alfin in while nodding his head politely. The children were on the terrace, some were still in school.
They turned their heads with their eyebrows intertwined, staring at the puzzled car that had just entered the courtyard.
"Dad! Mama!" they shouted as they rushed towards Alfin and Naina who had just got down from the car.
"Assalamu'alaikum!" alfin said as he grabbed the children's bodies.
"Wa'alaikumussalaam! Seneng, deh, Daddy and Mom have come home. Bring your sister, right? Grandma Sum said, Mom and I will go home with sister" chirped Halwa adorable.
They laughed including the parents on the terrace who immediately came to greet upon hearing the cries of the children.
"Let's check, yeah. There has been a sister yet," said Alfin hailed Halwa innocently.
They walked to the terrace, cheering the parents. Given the promise he made, Alfin could not linger there for long.
"Mas go straight to the store, yeah. You just rest here, later in the afternoon Mas invite all of us back home." Alfin says goodbye to Naina.
"Be careful, Mommy." Naina grabs her husband's hand, kissing reverently. It continues on all the parents, Habsoh, Sumiyati and Asep.
"Assalamu'alaikum!"
"Wa'alaikumussalaam!"
Alfin got back in the car, left the yard. Because of the incident, he was a little late.
"Mom, why are you leaving again?" halwa asked when Naina invited her in.
"Dad has a promise, baby. Come afternoon pick us up." Naina pinched Halwa's cheek in a fit of anxiety.
"Have you had lunch, son?" habsoh asked while rubbing Naina's back.
"Udah, Mah, on the street. Mama's fine, isn't she? Enough rest, Mah. Don't get sick" Naina said attentively.
Habsoh chuckled, his heart filled with attention from the boy. He did not change though from his mother's grave.
"Yes, honey. Mama also does not want to be sick, want to see the grandson of Mamah first." Naina meets, turns away in shame.
"Where? Are there any signs yet?" sumiyati asked as they sat in the living room.
"No idea, Bi, but from getting married Nai hasn't menstruated yet. Mas Alfin probably said."
"Alhamdulillah. Aamiins. Hopefully you have already filled," said the three simultaneously.
They are excited to welcome the presence of the baby. Both of them really missed the tiny figure present in the middle of their house. The house will be more crowded, especially every night the sound of baby crying will be heard.
"Later if the lahiran is here. Let Auntie be with Miss Habsoh who takes care of you with your child" Sumiyati's pinta meant it.
"Yes, Bi. How about Alfin, but Nai wants to be here, anyway. Afraid of not being able to bathe a baby, horrified." Naina grimaced imagining the tiny body with its soft bones.
"Yes, I'll talk to Alfin." Naina nodded in agreement.
